Gurus,

I buat tyre rotation once a year, rough 10K km...

I have only 2 cars and hv to make 2 trips to workshop for that...

I tengok my jiran ada 3 - 5 cards, must be a hassle to do it..Imagine 3 - 4 trips to workshop just to settle rotation...

Or got shortcut to do it ? Lol....Or they dont even know what is rotation...just hentam lar...

I have seen them singing loudly in front of yr house, wishing ppl Gong Xi Fatt Choy and asking for ang pow...

Sometimes they will stand in front of your gate for a while just to get your attention...

Gen-Zers have become the first generation since records began to be less intelligent than their parents, and an expert has uncovered the reason.

Dr Jared Cooney Horvath, a former teacher-turned-neuroscientist, revealed that the generation born between 1997 and the early 2010s has been cognitively stunted by their over-reliance on digital technology in school.

Since records have been kept on cognitive development in the late 1800s, Gen Z is now officially the first group to ever score lower than the generation before them, declining in attention, memory, reading and math skills, problem-solving abilities, and overall IQ.

Horvath told the US Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation that Gen Z intelligence dropped despite these teenagers and young adults spending more time in school than children did in the 20th century.

The cause, Horvath claimed, is directly tied to the increase in the amount of learning that is now carried out using what he called 'educational technology' or EdTech, which includes computers and tablets.

The neuroscientist explained that this generation has fallen behind because the human brain was never wired to learn from short clips seen online and reading brief sentences that sum up much larger books and complex ideas.

'More than half of the time a teenager is awake, half of it is spent staring at a screen,' Horvath told the New York Post.

'Humans are biologically programmed to learn from other humans and from deep study, not flipping through screens for bullet point summaries.'

Credit Card Balance

Hi all,

When I checked my credit card account balance yesterday, it shows negative which mean I overpaid..

12 hours later, when I checked on the app, its positive...

Suddenly in 12 hours the negative balance is wiped out...

Luckily I took screenshot on my app...

This is not the first time this has happened. Last week also ....

I called CS, they oso cannot give a valid explanation...

Is their app buggy ?

I am not disputing any transactions as all is valid but WTH, account balance also wrongly calculate...

At a modest dance studio in a warehouse complex, accessed by clanking cargo lifts, Mr Julian Low was rehearsing for an upcoming performance by the theatre group that he and his wife founded.

It was a setting far removed from the days when he was training to be a doctor at the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS Medicine).

These days, the 28-year-old Singaporean trains in tai chi, a traditional Chinese martial art, and holds workshops and rehearsals for his theatre collective in this space located at the light industrial zone of Pasir Panjang.

It was in 2019 that he walked away from medical school after third year, so that he could run a video production company.

When I asked how he broke the news to his parents, his usually smiley face gave way to a grimace.....

"I created a PowerPoint slide deck for them," he said.

The slides detailed why he wanted to leave:

Being a junior doctor meant that he would have to put in very long hours at work, leaving him with little time for the entrepreneurial projects he would like to pursue while still in his 20s
He had no interest in practising as a doctor after graduation, so if he continued and quit at the end of his studies, he would eventually have to repay the Ministry of Health Holdings a service bond in full, amounting to a high six-figure sum
Each new slide he presented deepened his parents' distress.

"They were begging me not to treat my life so flippantly," Mr Low recalled.

In Singapore, students at medical schools are bonded to serve in the public healthcare system and quitting early triggers a sizeable penalty.

In Mr Low's case, leaving then would mean having to pay back a hefty sum.

At the time, he was already involved in video production work. Since the startup he co-founded in early 2019 was doing well and he did not want to be in the medical field, he decided it was better to cut his losses there and then.
