How to politely decline a MLM offer ?

A few days ago, a close friend of mine & his wife approached me and my other housemates and offered us to join a MLM which he is a part of. He was very persistent and keep asking us to go for a talk/event held by that company. Personally, I don't believe in MLM no matter which company, what products they are pushing or how long have the company been established.

The problem I'm facing right now is that I do not know how to refuse his offer without offending him or causing harm to our friendship... I would be very thankful to those who can give me some tips on this matter.. Thanks in advance..

Israel Flag Raised in Malaysia

When the topic of Israel comes into the picture, mixed feelings of hatred & disgust are felt by most communities
around the world notwithstanding the very few who sympathize with their history with the holocaust. Some
communities are so disgusted by their actions that collectively as a nation, some deny to recognize the forsaken piece
of land which is still inching its way into Palestine as a legitimate country. And not surprisingly, Malaysia as country
(which its "official" religion is 'Islam') do not recognize Israel as a sovereign nation in any way. A simple way which
this is portrayed can be observed on the second page of the Malaysian passport where it states that
'THIS PASSPORT IS VALID FOR ALL COUNTRIES EXCEPT : ISRAEL' (go have a look for yourself if you don't believe me)

With all that being said, let's get back to the main point which the title has duly illustrated. A few nights ago, I was channel
surfing and I found myself on AXN HD (Channel 721 ASTRO), at the beginning of the first episode of 'The Challenger Muaythai'.
Its a reality show where as usual, there is a challenge/fight each week (where the losers get kicked out) and the 16
participants from all around the world fight it out to win the title of Muaythai World Champion. Best of all, the show was
shot in Malaysia and we even got a local kid, Faizal a.k.a Golden Elbow fighting for the title.

So at the beginning of the show, all 16 participants were given snip-bits of what they have to say and suddenly they were all
assembled in front of this ring where the host starts to introduce the show and the trainers. On the wall behind where the
participants were standing, there were flags hung, representing each of the participants' countries. I was at first very proud
to see our 'Jalur Gemilang' hanging there in the middle, an immense feeling of joy entwine with accomplishment &
recognition. Then with a sudden rush, all that feeling was washed away and replaced by insult & anger when my eyes caught the
sight of some blue lines sandwiching a blue 'Star of David'. I just couldn't believe my eyes that an Israeli flag was actually
raised here in Malaysia. I tried to calm myself down and started to rationalize; but all that came to mind was that this is even
more unpatriotic and nothing compared to the comment made by Mat Sabu recently.

I thought that was the only insult I would feel that night, but I was wrong. The host then invited the Youth & Sports Minister,
YB. Dato' S.A.S.C into the ring to give some warm wishes to the participants. And it was not like he couldn't see the Israeli flag,
he was facing the participants and the flag was just behind them! At this point, I was consumed in rage and just turned off
the tv. My eyes just could not bare to watch our 'Jalur Gemilang' being hung at the same level with the Israeli flag, worst was
having this whole incident done in our own country.

I don't care what people may say about what I felt, some may say that I'm over reacting. But I feel no matter what race or
religion you are, if you are a true Malaysian, you should feel insulted and do something about it. I don't mind them having the
Israeli participant in this competition, just don't hang their flag and air it in our media.

We have seen it on our local television that there is a campaign by the government providing free Cervical Cancer Vaccine in schools..
So there is some form of vaccine against cancer..

When it comes to smoking, theres never seems to be a good news regarding it, but a miracle has happen and smokers around the world may now celebrate!

[WTA] Help, Please Identify This Tortoise

I found this tortoise crossing a busy road near a residential area today while driving to a friends house.

It looks quite healthy as it was moving about, but what do i know, I'm not an expert. Some of the tortoise's shell looks really dry and has slight cracks.

For now, the tortoise is in a big sink behind my house in a shaded area. I gave him a quick bath and gave him some lettuce but he doesn't seem to eat .

I have no idea what species it is and how to care for it. I hope someone out there can help me out.
