However you can still type without problem when u turn the phone horizontally. WIFI not working (sometimes can connect, sometimes not). Other than that, everything works fine.

WANT TO UPGRADE FIRMWARE

- Alright I know my request sounds stupid as im a first time user in android. I'd tried to study over it, but i became less confidence the more i read.

My phone model - Samsung galaxy SL - I9003

It is still running froyo (KB2) as it is originally bought.

I know i can upgrade it using samsung kies, but it seems too many android user claimed the unreliability of the software and even caused damages to the phone board.

i also read about the alternative way in upgrading the firmware through ordin, but doing the root stuffs, will it void the warranty from samsung?

which is why, i'm seeking a proper way in doing the upgrade. Also if possible i would love to learn it.

Is there any service i can get?
