Moving House: USJ to Bdr Sri Permaisuri

Hi guys,

Few of my friends and I work in KLCC and stay around USJ/Sunway area. Our daily travel is:

house -> drive to LRT KJ/Paramount (easier parking) -> KLCC -> walk to office

takes about 1 hr 30-45 min on average and almost 2 hrs at night because we finish at around 6pm so traffic is f***ing bad by the time we reach the station to drive.

We're looking to move to Sri Puteri condo, Jalan Jelawat in Cheras since the LRT station is literally downstairs.

The drive in through Bandar Sri Permaisuri looks good after turning off the main haighway, nice residential area and it's own commercial place, but the immediate surrounding place in Jalan jelawat looks very dodgy with all the low costs apartments around.

I know nothing about Cheras, so I wonder if anyone here can tell me abit about the place?

Parents not too happy with me moving there because they generalize Cheras as a gangster area and high crime rate.

We also have 1 female housemate so she's really not too keen because of the generalization.

What's the demographic in the area like? Easy, cheap nice food? and any gyms around the area?

Possible Gym expansion to Johor. Johorian input!

Hi guys, looking for Johorians or at least anyone who is very familiar with locations in Johor. Got a few survey questions as my partner and I are looking to expand our business there.

We will be looking to open up a gym in Johor so to add to our research we'd like to find out what Johorians would think and prefer.

Client demographic will be mid-high income individuals. So we'll most likely be targeting places within & closer to city center JB.

Location choice heavily dependent on size of surrounding residential catchment and income.

1. Where are the general "gempak" areas in Johor currently?
- Where there's lots of residential close by and popular for people to come and hang out.

2. What are popular mid-high end residential locations?
- mid to high maybe looking at RM 800k property value onwards

3. Popular expat location?
- Where them ang mohs at yo.

4. We were suggested Bukit Indah. What is that place like? and any other similar or better location?

5. If you are a gym goer, where would you want it to be!

Thanks guys! Lots of good internet karma your way!

Edit : added some stuff to give better understanding of what we're looking for since Johor is pretty big.

Hi guys, planning to buy a 2nd hand lens. Seller has pointed out dirt, grease and marks on the internal glass. It's going for cheap, but Im not sure if including the cleaning service it will be more worth it to buy new or not. Do you guys know much lens cleaning cost? And any recommendations to where to send to? It's a prime lens if it makes any difference. Thanks guys, appreciate it.

Suggestions for boarding services in KL city

Hi guys, could anyone reccomend a pet boarding/hotel service in KL city preferably? Obviously would have to be a trusted and reliable one, not like the one that went into the news when they abandoned the poor pets in the store. Such a sad thing to happen. Thanks in advance guys, been looking high and low but they all seem to be around PJ areas.

Help Recommend Double Din

Hi, would like to ask if anyone could help me out by giving recommendations. Am looking for a double din HU with bluetooth iPhone call AND memory feature, or rather a sync with the iPhone contact list memory. Ive seen the lower ends where you can make calls, but you cant refer or browse the phones contacts through the HU. I want something that can sync together and can browse from HU. Anyone knows any other HU that can do that? I have no idea on a budget since im not sure how much these things costs in the first place, but lets just put a 'bang-for-buck' situation, the one that is paling worth it for the money. Or someone could give me a range of low-mid end that is available in market. Thanks alot guys, hope someone can help me out.
