well..last nite i had no problem with deluge.. today out of a sudden my deluge in ubuntu was slowing down. Previously i coud dl a movie @ my full speed which is @150kbs. Now apparently its is only around 40kbs.. somehow other torrents which has alot of peers eg: my name is earl S306 , i could dl it at full speed using deluge.. but others like movies a mere 30~40kbs . The windows version gives me the same. Anyways i switched to another client hint :(W_ _ _ ) (dont ask me ) (and no that is not the clients name, its a hint to find it) and using that i could dl @ full speed.. movies and such.. so guys is deluge throttled?

well im from seremban and as i noticed, quite a few of my freinds and my self are stuck with the 60.53 ip. This ip is quite ok but really sucks for online gaming since it is quite laggy. For example, in Silk Road Online , it takes me about 2 ~ 3 seconds after clicking for my character to move.. So currently the ip we have is 60.53.XXX.XXX .. None other than that.... Is there any thing we could do to change it? Can i call them and ask them to change my ip to another ip? like 128.XXX.XXX.XXX ? will my request be entertained?

Ubuntu on vmware

well... i have ubuntu 7.04 on my other partition but somehow after a few use it gets corrupted ( unable to load). Anyways i was thinking.. I want to install ubuntu on my windows using vmware but the only problem is i need to access the other drives..

eg:

i have 3 partitions in my pc

Partition A = windows XP] (C:)
Partition B = Ubuntu (G:)
Partition C = Media files (D:)

Now my idea is i want to use ubuntu thru vmware in partition A which means partition B would be empty. So within ubuntu in vmware, i want to access the D: drive to collect some media files , and if i've downloaded something in ubuntu, i would want to save it to the G: drive. Is it possible? if so how?

well guys im not using any vpn or any other software.. as u can see im getting a full speed download.. but there is a mystery.. haha... even my bandwith monitor is showing that im downloading at full speed but when u see the summary the download is kinda slow... like downloaded bytes 3.32MB although its been 9 minutes since i've started the download. And when i start it, it goes full speed ... also the time left thing is kinda screwed.. cause it jumps from 25 hours to 12 hours to 99 hours... so is there anything wrong with it? please dont ask me to use deluge or any other clients...

weird thing with streamyx

well..i just came back and i switched on my pc.Went to ubuntu connect to streamyx. everything is fine. Opened firefox and tried to browse to google.com but page not found. Went over to yahoo.com and page load perfectly. So i thought maybe my ubuntu is fugged so i went over to windows xp. Same thing there. when i enter the address "www.google.com" it takes awhile and then i'm taken to a page of windows live providing a search result for google.com. i click that and the browser just tries to connect and after awhile i got the page not found error. i cant even ping google. tried going to other websites, some load halfway without pics , some doesnt even load and some load but no pictures, example friendster. I tried using a proxy thru my opera browser, the tm net proxy, i can load all pages with no problem. Other than that, my msn can connect but other stuff like online games and bt doesnt work. I called tmnet and they guided me to change the dns and all, but still my problem persist. Finally i asked them to reset my port and still the problem is here. They said they cant find any problem on their side.. so guys what is wrong? i dont think its virus..cause my linux and windows are having the same thing..

hey guys,,, been using ubuntu all this while and it seems great.. but only 1 prob..installing my usb modem...

well this is what i did according to the instructions give in the modem's cd.

1. i copied the "eagle-usb-2.0.0.tar" file to the root directory according to the manual.
2.i opened the terminal and typed "tar -jxvf eagle-usb-2.0.0.tar.bz2"
3. The "eagle-usb-2.0.0.tar" file begins to extract.
4. Then i typed "cd eagle-usb-2.0.0" according to the manual.
5. Then i typed "./configure –enable-cmv" according to the manual.

The problem starts at step 5 where i get this error:

root@ubuntu:~/eagle-usb-2.0.0# ./configure –enable-cmv

I tried checking all over the net.. looking for solutions.. tried various other ways but all of it were unsucessful.

Read somewhere and some1 gave a solution where i have to download "linux-image-2.6.20-15-generic_2.6.20-15.27_i386.deb" and install it.. tried it but i still get the same error as above even after installing.

This is the version of my kernel =2.6.20-15-generic

. and guys i cant use the internet while in ubuntu so i cant use the commands to download stuff.

Guys i've tried installing ubuntu but had an error later on and then when i restarted my computer i get this error, operating system cannot be loaded. Well previously i had 2 partition of windows in my computer and i installed ubuntu on the 2nd partition. Now when i restart my pc, i dont get the select which operating system menu but i get the error stated above. I thought my files on the windows partition are all gone , but i tried inserting the ubuntu live disk and saw that all my windows files on the other partiton(which is not the ubuntu partition) and my windows files are all still there. Then i saw my boot.ini file and it goes like this

So i need to remove this part right --> " c:\grldr="Ubuntu" " ? but i couldnt do so. whenever i tried chaging it, i get a permission error that goes like this, "Could not save the file /media/Local Disk/boot.ini. " "You are trying to save the file on a read-only disk. Please check that you typed the location correctly and try again." . I've tried google-ing the problem but no solution worked..so guys , i hope some of u would be able to help me...

Hm..ok.... I wanna start doing some online trading, since im still in college. The best choice that i got is to open a batik trading business. Well i have many friends in indonesia and i heard that indonesian batik is really beautiful and is very cheap too. so im planning to find someone in college who is from indonesia and who is interested in this business. So what he/her got to do is import some batik from his/her country(thru frens or family) and bring it here. Then I would sell it thru ebay USA or UK or some other forums to foreigners. Hm...i DOnt wanna earn much like some people who earns like RM10k a month by selling batik.. just a little bit so that i can support my lifestyle in college.. Any Advices?1

hey guys..im a bittorent newbie here..i know it had been capped but i wanna get all my settings right so i still can download files..not max speed is also ok.. currently am using U torrent.. my download is only at 0.6~1.2kb/s ... i already checked my port and it said its open.. but still get below average slow speed..so i hope some1 kind here would help me set up my bitorent client..any other clients also can.. i promise ill seed my files 24/7 if i can dl successfully.. XD

anyways here i go..remember once when some1 in this forum posted a link that contains a script so that when u dial to streamyx u will get the 128 ip? if u dont get the 128 ip it will disconnect and auto dial? if i remember the link lead to the forum by the name blue..blue something..forget ad..haha..can i have the link please? thanks alot ya..

well i just started collage..and im staying there..rite now im back at home..my problem is..my destop is quite new..less than 2 yrs old.. and well i can connect through my broadband connection at home without a prob..but when i bring my destop to collage, and connect it through their LAN connection,it doesnt really work..i've followed their instructions give to set up my ip so that i can use their connection..even had some seniors to do it..but when my comp is already connected to their network.. i cant access anything.. well i cant use the internet.. and they have a p2p software(DC++) where all collage students can share files that are on their pc..my comp can connect thru the p2p network but i cant chat in there and cant download stuff..even if i managed to download something it would be like 100bytes per secs and would go to 0 after a few secs.. so what is wrong?? i took my comp back home and am connected via a broadband network and i dont have any problem...any solutions?? those ppl who checked my pc..said they dont really know what is the prob...
