And from the looks of it, it’s certainly an appropriate title, since this war is probably going to end up damning just about everyone who fights in it. But then maybe I’m just being overly dramatic. See for yourself, though.

Also: two previous promo spots for the show, which puts the spotlights on the two factions — those pesky slaves turn rebels and those snotty Romans.

QUOTE

Spartacus’ rebellion numbers in the thousands.
Scary Movie V (2013) - Another Scary Sequel?!?

This isn’t to be mistaken with Marlon Waynes’ “A Haunted House”, which, yes, also parodies the “Paranormal Activity” movies. Unfortunately, unlike Waynes’ film, which seems to be going balls out to make you laugh, “Scary Movie 5″, er, doesn’t seem to be making that much of an effort. Though I have to admit, the cameo from Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen is amusing, especially the scene of Lohan seeing herself on TV. That made me chuckle. The rest? Not so much.

Here’s the plot, though honestly, it doesn’t seem to jive that much with the trailer:

QUOTE

Three dancers — one veteran performer and two upstarts who are also best friends — vie for the lead in a new production from a snooty, aloof, imperious, and oversexed director.

Starring Ashley Tisdale, Kate Walsh, Molly Shannon, Heather Locklear, Craig Bierko, Simon Rex, J.P. The trailer is SFW, but I get the feeling there’s a Red Band version coming along very soon. The film looks like a schlocky good time, with a bunch of clueless American tourists (are there any other kind?) getting stuck in a nightclub during an earth quake. Bad, right? Well, it gets worst when the prison next door also dumps its prisoners onto the streets. Uh oh.

But hey, these kids are Americans, with American know-how, and plus, they have Eli Roth. I’m sure they’ll make it. That’s essentially the basis of “This is the End” (formerly “The End of the World”), which finds Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg directing.

Check out the Red Band trailer below. The first minute is Rogen and Franco adlibbing gags. This is hilarious if you’re a fan of Rogen and Franco. If you happen to think they’re highly overrated, then it’s going to be like getting stabbed in the eyeballs. Repeatedly. For a minute.

QUOTE

Six friends are trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles. The teaser is short and entirely in Japanese, but if you’ve seen the Eastwood original, I think you can easily figure out who is who and what’s happening (or about to happen). I can pick out the old dude playing the Morgan Freeman role, but I’m not sure who is playing “The ‘Schofield Kid’” in this one…

QUOTE

Set in 1880 Japan, “Unforgiven” follows a samurai with a violent past (Watanabe), who lives on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido with his aboriginal wife, but is brought out of retirement for one last job…

Also starring Jun Kunimura, Kôichi Satô, Yûya Yagira, Akira Emoto, and Shioli Kutsuna.

Japan gets it first on September 13, 2013, so Stateside fans are probably looking at a late 2013 (or early 2014) debut.

Japanese Teaser Trailer

As these things are wont to go, the cop and bad guy end up teaming up against an even badder foe. Or at least, that’s what I gathered from this first trailer for writer/director Eran Creevy’s “Welcome to the Punch”.

And oh, the film also co-stars David Morrissey. Yes, The Governor himself. Regardless of what Morrissey ends up doing with his career, I now can’t look at him and not think of severed heads.

QUOTE

When a notorious criminal is forced to return to London, it gives a detective one last chance to take down the man he’s always been after.

Also starring Peter Mullan, Andrea Riseborough, and Daniel Mays.

The Brits get it first March 15, 2013.

Theatrical Trailer

Snitch (2013) - The Rock Vs. Drug Dealers!

Check out the first trailer for Johnson’s “Snitch”, where he plays a father trying to get his kid out of prison by going undercover to bust some bad guys. Apparently based on a true story (or, well, true story-ish with HUGE helping of creative license, would be my guess), the film certainly looks intense and explosive enough. Plus, it features Shane from “The Walking Dead” as The Rock’s buddy. Hopefully, the Rock hasn’t introduced Shane to his wife, cause you know how he is around married women…

QUOTE

Dwayne Johnson stars as John Matthews, a businessman hit hard when his teenage son is wrongfully ensnared in a drug bust and threatened with a terrifying 10-30 years in federal prison (under the US government’s draconian minimum drug sentencing laws). The only option to reduce the sentence is to “snitch.” A desperate Matthews makes a deal with the politically ambitious federal prosecutor (Sarandon) and infiltrates the operation of a violent drug dealer (Williams). When his amateur undercover work unexpectedly exposes a major player in the Mexican drug trade (Bratt), the rules suddenly change and an already dangerous venture turns decidedly deadly.

“Snitch” also stars Nadine Velazquez, Jon Bernthal, Susan Sarandon, JD Pardo, Harold Perrineau, Barry Pepper, Michael Kenneth Williams, Benjamin Bratt, James Allen McCune, Melina Kanakaredes, and is directed by Ric Roman Waugh.

The snitch goes to work February 22, 2013.

Theatrical Trailer #1

Doing a movie from “Priest” and “Legion” director Scott Charles Stewart, as it turns out. Here’s the first trailer for Russell’s “Dark Skies”, about a husband and wife trying to keep something from taking their son. Everything about the movie screams supernatural forces are at play, but that final shot would lead me to believe there are more, er, extraterrestrial shenanigans afoot…

QUOTE

From the producers of Paranormal Activity, Insidious, and Sinister comes Dark Skies: a supernatural thriller that follows a young family living in the suburbs. As husband and wife Daniel and Lacey Barret witness an escalating series of disturbing events involving their family, their safe and peaceful home quickly unravels.
Now You See Me (2013) - Magicians Crime Spree

The trailer doesn’t look too bad, and even features Jesse Eisenberg sporting a grown up haircut and whatnot, but like most Louis Leterrier movies, it’s probably a good idea to taper expectations. The premise is pretty daft, but I’m sure most kids won’t notice it with things exploding and fancy lasers flashing onscreen and whatnot. Plus, I’m not sure, but is Michael Caine actually the bad guy in this one? I don’t think I’ve seen that one before…

QUOTE

The Four Horsemen, a magic super-group led by the charismatic Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg), perform a pair of high-tech magic shows, first astonishing audiences by robbing a bank on another continent, and then exposing a white-collar criminal and funneling his millions into the audience members’ bank accounts. FBI Special Agent Dylan (Mark Ruffalo) is determined to make the magicians pay for their crimes—and to stop them before they pull off what promises to be an even more audacious heist. But he’s forced to partner with Alma (Melanie Laurent), an Interpol detective about whom he is instantly suspicious. Out of desperation he turns to Thaddeus (Morgan Freeman), a famed magic debunker, who claims the bank heist was accomplished using disguises and video trickery. One thing Dylan and Alma agree on is that the Horsemen must have an outside point person, and that finding him (or her) is key to ending the magicians’ crime spree. Could it be Thaddeus? Or Alma? Or could it really be…magic? As pressure mounts and the world awaits the Horsemen’s spectacular final trick, Dylan and Alma race to find an answer. But it soon becomes painfully clear that staying one step ahead of these masters of illusion is beyond the skills of any one man—or woman.

“Now You See Me” also stars Morgan Freeman and Melanie Laurent, and appears magically on movie screens everywhere June 7, 2013.

Theatrical Trailer

It’s like Bullock’s character from those movies grew up and stopped having a sense of humor. Or something like that. Anyhoo, check out the first trailer for “The Heat”, starring Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. It’s actually pretty funny and doesn’t seem to take itself all that seriously, which is always good. It might end up being a pretty decent heat for the two lasses.

QUOTE

Uptight and straight-laced, FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is a methodical investigator with a reputation for excellence–and hyper-arrogance. Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy), one of Boston P.D.’s “finest,” is foul-mouthed and has a very short fuse, and uses her gut instinct and street smarts to catch the most elusive criminals. Neither has ever had a partner, or a friend for that matter. When these two wildly incompatible law officers join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected: buddies. (Or so I’ve been told.) Anyhoo. Check out the first trailer for “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones”, the first of what Screen Gems is no doubt hoping is the start of something beautiful. Something “Twilight”-esqsue, if you will. I hear the books are popular with the kids, so that bodes well. Probably. And I suppose it makes sense that Marlon Wayans would be one of the guys fronting this, since he’s been doing the horror parody for a while now with the “Scary Movie” films (along with every other member of the Wayans family, it seems). Wayans has now turned his attention to “A Haunted House”, a spoof of the Found Footage genre made famous by, of course, the “Paranormal Activity” films, but started way back with “The Blair Witch Project”. Fart jokes, ghost balls, and bad breath gags commence!

QUOTE

In an outrageous send up of the Paranormal Activity movies, The Devil Inside and other “found footage” movies, A HAUNTED HOUSE features young couple Malcolm (Marlon Wayans) and Kisha (Essence Atkins) who have just moved in to their dream house. As they settle in, they quickly find they’re not alone. But it’s not the house that’s haunted, it’s Malcolm’s girlfriend who is possessed by a demon. Malcolm hires everyone from a priest to modern day ghostbusters to rid her of this unwelcome intruder, determined not to let the evil spirit ruin his relationship… or, more importantly, his sex life.

Wayans, who co-wrote the script, stars along with Essence Atkins, Cedric The Entertainer, Nick Swardson, David Koechner and Affion Crocket. I have absolutely no idea. But it’s got a ton of big-time movie stars doing very unseemly things on film. I mean, damn, just look at the names listed below, then watch this Red Band Trailer for “Movie 43″. It looks like an anthology of totally WTF scenarios jammed into one as-offensive-as-possible movie. But don’t take my word for it. Check it out for yourself, check it outers. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you beforehand.

QUOTE

Warning: This movie is not for the weak-stomached, faint of heart, or easily offended. In Movie 43, comedy is served steaming hot by director Peter Farrelly of The Farrelly Brothers (Something About Mary, Dumb & Dumber) in one of the most original comedies ever made.

Starring Elizabeth Banks, Kristen Bell, Halle Berry, Leslie Bibb, Kate Bosworth, Gerard Butler, Bobby Cannavale, Kieran Culkin, Josh Duhamel, Anna Faris, Richard Gere, John Hodgman, Terrence Howard, Hugh Jackman, Johnny Knoxville, Justin Long, Stephen Merchant, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloë Grace Moretz, Chris Pratt, Liev Schreiber, Seann William Scott, Emma Stone, Jason Sudeikis, Uma Thurman, Naomi Watts, and Kate Winslet.

Unleashing on an unsuspecting audiences January 25th, 2013.

Red-Band Theatrical Trailer

Parker (2013) - A professional thief with ethics

Source:- http://www.beyondhollywood.com/jason-stath...-parker-poster/

QUOTE

Jason Statham Packs a Shotgun in First Parker Poster

And he’s also apparently wearing co-star Jennifer Lopez’s skin as part of his suit jacket. Though I could be wrong on that last part.

Anyhoo. Check out the first poster for man of action Jason Statham’s latest action flick, “Parker”, in which he plays a guy name Parker. Who has a shotgun. And goes around shooting people in the face with said shotgun. I’m only guessing about that shooting people in the face with the shotgun part, of course, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’ll probably happen in the movie.

In the film, Statham will play Parker, “a professional thief who lives by a personal code of ethics: Don’t steal from people who can’t afford it and don’t hurt people who don’t deserve it. But on his latest heist, his crew double crosses him, steals his stash, and leaves him for dead. Determined to make sure they regret it, Parker tracks them to Palm Beach, playground of the rich and famous, where the crew is planning their biggest heist ever. Donning the disguise of a rich Texan, Parker takes on an unlikely partner, Leslie (Jennifer Lopez), a savvy insider, who’s short on cash, but big on looks, smarts and ambition. Together, they devise a plan to hijack the score, take everyone down and get away clean.”

Taylor Hackford directed “Parker”, which co-stars the aforementioned Lopez, Nick Nolte, Michael Chiklis, Wendell Pierce, Clifton Collins Jr., Sala Baker, and Daniel Bernhardt. Statham (will likely) shoot people in the face January 25, 2013.

The Collection (2012) - A Collector's Vision

Source:- http://www.beyondhollywood.com/the-collect...-first-trailer/

QUOTE

The Collector’s Collection Grows in First Trailer

Wow. An illegal teenage rave leads to bad things. That’s a shocker. Anyhoo. Marcus Dunstan’s “The Collection” is a sequel to his 2009 film “The Collector”. I haven’t seen the first film, but this looks like a direct continuation of that movie, with the bad guy once again back to do his bad guy duties, and the only guy to ever survive him having to come back to save the day. That’s a bit of a twist on the genre, in case you didn’t notice. Usually filmmakers love to make use of a Final Girl who returns in subsequent sequels, ala the “Halloween” movies. It’s very rare that the Final Girl is a Final Guy. After all, given the choice between watching a cute girl and a bearded guy getting the crap scared out of them by a masked dude, who wouldn’t choose the girl?

QUOTE

When Elena’s (Emma Fitzpatrick) friends take her to a secret party at an undisclosed location, she never imagined she would become the latest victim of The Collector, a psychopathic killer. The Collector kidnaps and transports her to an abandoned hotel he’s transformed into his own private maze of torture and death. Upon learning of his daughter’s disappearance, Elena’s wealthy father (Christopher McDonald) hires a group of mercenaries to retrieve her from the vicious grips of The Collector. These mercenaries coerce Arkin (Josh Stewart), the only man to have escaped the wrath of this heinous monster, to lead them through the gruesome labyrinth. Now, Arkin finds himself fighting for his own life in order to save Elena. “The Collection,” directed by Marcus Dunstan and written by Dunstan and Patrick Melton, is a suspense horror film with nonstop thrills at every turn, starring Josh Stewart (The Dark Knight Rises), Emma Fitzpatrick (The Social Network), and Christopher McDonald (Requiem for a Dream).

“The Collection” stars Josh Stewart, Emma Fitzpatrick, Christopher McDonald, Erin Way, Daniel Sharman, Johanna Braddy, Lee Tergesen, Navi Rawat, Andre Royo, Brandon Molale, Justin Mortelliti, Shannon Kane and opens for business November 30th later this year. Yup, it’s skipping Halloween. In today’s world, where any movie with even a hint of “horror” saves itself for October, this is a pretty brilliant move.

Theatrical Trailer
