Anyhoo. Check out the first poster for man of action Jason Statham’s latest action flick, “Parker”, in which he plays a guy name Parker. Who has a shotgun. And goes around shooting people in the face with said shotgun. I’m only guessing about that shooting people in the face with the shotgun part, of course, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’ll probably happen in the movie.

In the film, Statham will play Parker, “a professional thief who lives by a personal code of ethics: Don’t steal from people who can’t afford it and don’t hurt people who don’t deserve it. But on his latest heist, his crew double crosses him, steals his stash, and leaves him for dead. Determined to make sure they regret it, Parker tracks them to Palm Beach, playground of the rich and famous, where the crew is planning their biggest heist ever. Donning the disguise of a rich Texan, Parker takes on an unlikely partner, Leslie (Jennifer Lopez), a savvy insider, who’s short on cash, but big on looks, smarts and ambition. Together, they devise a plan to hijack the score, take everyone down and get away clean.”

Taylor Hackford directed “Parker”, which co-stars the aforementioned Lopez, Nick Nolte, Michael Chiklis, Wendell Pierce, Clifton Collins Jr., Sala Baker, and Daniel Bernhardt. Statham (will likely) shoot people in the face January 25, 2013.

Wow. An illegal teenage rave leads to bad things. That’s a shocker. Anyhoo. Marcus Dunstan’s “The Collection” is a sequel to his 2009 film “The Collector”. I haven’t seen the first film, but this looks like a direct continuation of that movie, with the bad guy once again back to do his bad guy duties, and the only guy to ever survive him having to come back to save the day. It’s very rare that the Final Girl is a Final Guy.
