Hi all,

This is not a marketing attempt but just wanting to throw my idea out into the deep end to see what everyone thinks.

This is my first serious post (but because I am not sure where to put it, I will post it on Kopitiam). I am currently a practicing lawyer in Australia and I practice solely in Immigration law. I always have been living there whilst my family is in Malaysia (parents and siblings - I am not married). Recently, an unfortunate death of a family member has prompted me to do some thinking. Life is short and time waits for no one. I am working full time in Australia but my family is back here in Malaysia, I feel helpless that I am not able to be by their side for a longer period. The unfortunate event has made me wanting to change my life. Life is filled with uncertainty and a death of a family member is very hard to deal with especially being alone so far away. There is a sense of emptiness that I know time will fill, however I really want to be with my family in such times.

I am thinking on how I could use my skills to allow me to commute back and forth to be able to spend more time with my family. I am skilled in Immigration law- that is migration to Australia. My firm has the experience to deal with all sorts of visa application and queries. I dare say that we are one of the best in Immigration Law.

I have had a chat with my boss in provide more specialize migration services to Australia in Malaysia. If successful, I will be able to travel to back and forth more often and thus allowing me to spend more time with my family.
This idea came about from talking to a few of my friends, I have heard many stories of dodgy and shady migration agents in Malaysia cheating and lying to many unsuspecting people with promises that they are able to migrate and they charge a fortune. For example, a friend of mine was charged RM 20,000.00 for a visa application. The same in Australia we only charge AUD 4,500.00(approx RM 15,000.00). I have heard of many other stories that ended in badly too.

I am thinking if I should start like a satellite office here providing migration service to Australia. I don't have a business plan as I am new in this "business field". I know that the service we can provide is more professional, experience and accountable than many other "agents". Reason being, we are all qualified and practicing lawyers in Australia, we hold a Migration Agents license and we have extensive experience in this field.
I am thinking of starting something that brings value and at least more accountability, rather than seeing people getting cheated.

In short, my aspiration is to be able to travel back here to Malaysia more often and making the most of it. I want to use my skills to help people that wish to migrate to Australia and spend more time with my family.

HELP was in an accident ... need advise

well here here story goes... january i was driving around TTDI then while going straight crossing a cross-junction a motorcycle from my left came crashing into me.. (ok that was what happen) then he patah tangan and stuff like that ..... so now after so many money the police sarjan called me and asked me to go to the place where it happen(the accident scene).. when i reached there about 10.30PM he guy and the police was there with his "lawyer" so the lawyer approach me and asked me to tell the police that it was my mistake so that he can claim MAX if i dont then they wont be able.. and i should do that cuz at least he can have a better life as his hand *supposedly would not be normal anymore* so all the sifu here and anybody with experiance can u tell me what to do.. cuz if i dont *admit* its my mistake then what will happen to me? i am suppose to give my statement to the police on sunday.... so guys what say you? . well to add on i would like to say that i really and honestly drove pass the junction when it was green and till this moment i still believe that... his motor was way out on the road and he was slowly stopping thus he crashed into me.. so what could happen to me and how about insurance coverage? thanks in advance

As above.. The other day while I was hearing some songs i heard a funny sound. After sometime of finding the source I realize that it was my subwoofer has gave way. The flexible side has torn ... is there any way to fix it or change the whole speaker?

If yes any good place to recommend?

hihi ... i recently got robbed and now planing to get a new phone.. these 2 phone has nearly the same feature as far as i know but which is better?? any comments or review.. the K800i thread and N73 thread seem that the both phone are good...

guys/gurls plz help me...

my gf had this problem for about 1 year on and off but now its is beocming worse and her exams are coming plz help me..

we went to a doctor and he gave this med for like 2 months to take.. is 3 kinds of tablets to be taken together (suppose to cure) but only today start ... after eating that tablets still stomach pain...

last time she use to eat those white packet thingy u tear open and press it out wan to line the perut.......
