TuneTalk in-call ads?

Hi all, I like TuneTalk's pricing structure (basic voice + the 5sen/MB PAYU). But I heard (and read) that TuneTalk injects in call advertisements either when you call out, or when other people call in to you.

Is this true? Or was it just a rumour?
Or have they stopped doing it?
Their website doesn't mention anything about in call ads...

Current TuneTalk users, if it is true that they inject ads:

How often do these ads get injected? Every call or (e.g.) once every 5?
Does it only happen to you when you call out or do incoming callers get hit as well?
How long are the ads usually?
Do you find them annoying?

Thanks for any feedback.

p/s... before anyone recommends UMobile, I am on UMobile. But since they switched partners I'm finding holes in their coverage.

Where to buy a ratchet belt?

Hi all, some time back during a trip to China I bought a plain belt where the buckle mechanism is probably best described as a "ratchet" mechanism (refer to attached photo).

The "china leather" died after a year or so, but I still feel the ratchet system was the most practical belt adjusting mechanism I've ever used. Very easy to adjust to just the right size (especially after big meals! )

Sooo... I can't find where to buy such a belt in the Klang Valley. Anyone seen it around? Bonus points if it's a weaved cloth belt. Yeah, yeah, not as "gaya", but imho much much more durable than all those pseudo-leather materials.

linux backup solutions?

Hi folks,

My linux knowledge isn't too hot, but I've managed to get a Centos 5 server running (administration via Webmin) for my department's use. So far I've added a wiki, web calendar, cms, and a few other misc things... it's been running smoothly for a couple of months.

Now before my department proceeds to use the server "seriously" (in particular the department wiki), I know I'll need to get a good backup and recovery solution running in place. My question: what would be a good solution that allows me to make daily / weekly backups with minimal recovery hassle? I.e., I really don't want the solution to be "reinstall Centos", because then I'd have to reinstall all the apps and updates.

My current thoughts are to either:

a) setup some scripts (somehow) to dump the database + copy all files to a networked file server somewhere.

b) setup a minimal Xen server and virtualize my department server, then make periodic snapshots and backup that.

Any advice / experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!

Anyone has a 6800GT/7xxx or better? (ATi also can)

Hi, is there anyone with a GeForce 6800GT / 7xxx based card or better? (newer ATi cards also included, as well as Matrox, Quadro, etc...) Basically I'm looking for a card that can support DVI dual-link.

Reason is I have a medical monitor that can do really high resolutions, but needs a dual-link card to power it. The original card got stolen and a replacement costs mucho $$$. I'd like to see how close quality can get using the new consumer cards... so if anyone is willing I'd like to drop over to test it (may need to run powerstrip), and you'll get to see an LCD monitor that can do 2048x1536

(oh, and only in the Klang Valley, PJ area even better )
