In 2012 Chery went into a 50:50 joint venture with the Jaguar Land Rover Group (the first Sino-British joint venture for high-end automobiles in China) to produce vehicles (Evoque Land Evoque Plug- In Hybrid, Discovery Sport and Plug-In Hybrid, Jaguar XF-L, Jaguar XE-L, Jaguar XE-L, and Jaguar E-Pace model family) and Ingenium engines for the China market at the Changshu production.

Fast forward the rigid modular T1X chassis with fully independent suspension is the base of new Chery Tiggo 8 Pro models, which was developed with Jaguar Land Rover technology and influence, together with the Bosch ten-in-one ESP 9.3 control systems.

The Chery DCT was developed by the company in partnership with GETRAG, the world’s top supplier of automobile transmission and drive systems.

GETRAG, on the other hand, makes DCTs for a vast number of car brands and models: BMW (for the M3 and Z4), Chery (on both the turbocharged Tiggo 7 and 7-seater Tiggo 8), Chrysler, Ferrari, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi (for the Lancer Evo X), Peugeot, Renault and Volvo.

With 105,483 units sold in December, Chery has now delivered a record-breaking 1,232,727 units globally in 2022. The figure represents a 28.2% increase over the previous year, and it’s also breached the one-million-unit mark for the first time for Chery – which they’ve already achieved since October 2022.
The figure also includes 451,337 units (67.7% increase over 2021) of export sales, which accounted for 36.6% of the brand’s total deliveries last year. Not only is that a record-breaking annual figure for Chery, the performance also helped the marque remain at the top of Chinese passenger car exports for the 20th year in a row.

Can I cancel car booking after already pay d/p

I book a car from lexus....I'm already submit all the document(pay slip,epf statement,ea form,etc) and pay the RM10k downpayment/book fees.Loan also not yet approved or sign.
The car will arrive in 3months time because now no stock.
After 1 week...I feel I wanna cancel to buy the car because of personal problem.
Can I get my deposit back?If can get back my deposit,how many percent I can get back?
Your advice is highly appreciated.

Prius C overbook by 10times,6months waiting list!

When the Toyota Aqua, dubbed next decade compact hybrid by Toyota, the company only expected to sell only 12,000 units a month in Japan. But as January came to a close and order data were tabulated at the company's sales and marketing office in Tokyo, total orders between Dec-26 to Jan-31 came out to 120,000 units. In other words, the Aqua was overshoot its target, and Toyota under-estimated the Aqua's market potential by 10 times! Even before the car was launched, pre-orders collected already totalled 60,000, which alone is already 5 times the Aqua's monthly target.

As a result of the huge backlog in orders, Toyota says that customers who place their orders now can only expect to receive the car around July.

The only source for the Aqua, also known as the Prius c in overseas markets, is Toyota's Iwate plant, whose monthly capacity is only 30,000 units. It will go on sale in the US around March while the Malaysian market launch is tentatively set to take place by end-February, although buyers can already place their orders based on the estimated price of RM 103,990.

If you want one fast, better put an order now. Expect a waiting period of 6 months or more.

Nokia N85 reboot bugs

I just bought an N85. Since the day I bought, it is rebooting several times a day.
A white screen appears then after 5 seconds it returns back to the main opening page.
It happens more frequently when charging with USB..
Another annoyance is that calls fail to connect on the first try almost every time. I will dial a number and after a short pause I get a "connection error" pop-up. Usually on the second or third try my call will go through. It seems to happen with messaging also. I am assuming this is a phone problem and not a service provider problem because I did not experience this with the N82 or any other phone I've had my sim in.
I try to format my phone and update to latest firmware
But the update doesnt fix anything for me
I think the rebooting problem for me is even worse now.
Nokia is releasing phones full of bugs without proper Lab testing and people responsible for support doesn't listen to the customers reports about bugs in phones' software (even Nokia forums are full of them),try google check Nokia N85 reboot..Im not the only one...
Very disappointing with Nokia...
Any of you got the same problem...?
