Prospect of CIMB Management Trainee

Hi,

I don't want to know about the interview process as a lot of thread already discuss it. I am interested about the career prospect of this programme.

1) Is there any special training during the class and rotation? If we are treated as normal executive during rotation, what is the diff in terms of career prospect with a permanent executive, after 2 years?

2) What is your position after you have completed the programme?

3) Is it true that for some departments you have to work until 1 am? or it is just a myth? (transportation problem for me)

4) I heard some girl have to 'jual diri', is that true?

5) Will they involve new comers in politics?

6) Do we have to 'jilat' boss shoes to promote?

7) If you underperform and CIMB fire you in the 1st year, you have to payback all the salary and training courses? Do you see any cases like this?

thanks

I have read some post about TCB which was dated back to 2005, so I am quite sure got a lot of ppl here joined/completed the programme. Would you mind to help?

[addedon]December 15, 2011, 8:00 pm[/addedon]It seems those Complete Bankers are too busy to answer me.

[addedon]December 17, 2011, 1:25 pm[/addedon]Anyone mind to share?

Credit Controller VS Operational Risk Managment

I was offered with these 2 position, from two different banks.

My father (which is experience in the field) say credit controller is better. But he hasn't touch this line for a long time. So, I afraid the situation and career prospect of this job was not as good as he said now.

My friend and I feel Operational risk would be better.

Although I prefer Operational Risk, but I am afraid it is a dead end job, once I go in, forever stuck.

Digi Caller Tunes?

I am a digi user. Recently I found my phone suddenly have caller tunes. However I didn't think to much coz I never subscribe any thing from DIGI and I thought it was promotion or something. Then today I jz realise digi charged me RM2 for caller tunes.

Dam it. How the hell you can charge me fees while I didn't subscribe anything and without my consent?

Now, I unsubscribe the only caller tunes under my number, by sending CT STOP <content number> to 2000. Is that ok already or I have to go through more procedure to prevent DIGI suck my money through caller tunes?

Name me what other company you are applying.

I know that there is someone who post question like this as Interview Question, Are u applying for other jobs currently? (http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1613285) before, but I think what I have faced is slightly different situation from him/her.

This post did discuss something that I am facing now, but I am still feel a bit worry, as almost interview that I went ask me this question.

Normally they will start with question like 'Are you applying to other company.' and every time I will answer them honestly, which is 'yes'. Then they will proceed to 'can you name them?'

One time I mention a company and it turns out to be the interviewer's company client. I feel totally awkward.

The recent one even ask me about the name of the company, did they reject me, what is my status, and purposely ask me whether I applied for their competitors and what are my status in the application process.

It is always my style to answer question honestly. But I want to know does it matters if I said I were rejected by other company before or I have applied to their competitors?

Fresh Graduate Consulting Firm

I know that in consulting firm such as Accenture has a simple ranking of its employee, from analyst to consultant to...blah blah...

How is the career prospect in consulting firm? When you say you are a 'consultant', then you are suppose to be someone that has a lot of experience in a particular field, right? Since fresh grad does not have any experience, how do they consult? Even working for 2 years on consulting field, I doubt that a person have sufficient knowledge giving advice for companies.

Is anyone work in consulting as fresh grad? Did you learn a lot?
