Folks,

As we all know, the max loan for 3rd residential onwards would be capped at 70%. This means a staggering 30% from our own pockets. To put this into perspective, a typical $400k condo in Klang Valley would require $120k out of our own pockets!

What advice do the sifus here have for someone like me? Looking to invest but capped by the 70%. Any strategies to circumvent this?

Utilizing a trusted family member's name is not an option. Or should I be looking at different type of properties?

HTIB without the player

Guys,

Currently I have a 37" LG LCD and a Philips BDP2500 Bluray Player.
Interested in getting a simple HTIB minus the player. I have a small living room so don't need a powerful system. Budget roughly rm600.

Any advise on which HTIB minus the player I should get? Quite illiterate on these things...

Need Advice - 37" LCD + Home Theatre System

Good folks - I'm willing to spend up to rm2.5k, and I need the largest TV + Home Theater system I can get on that budget.

I'm thinking that rm2k can afford me a 37" HD Ready LCD, and another rm500 for a home theater system. What do you guys recommend, do you think this is feasible?

Really can't afford to top up anymore than this. FYI, I'll just be using it for movies + Astro. I don't need extra fancy features, since I don't do gaming or connect it to the PC.

Guys, any of you have information regarding a minor facelift for the Swift in 2008?
Called up some salesmen already and some said middle of the month will arrive, others are saying middle of the year. Apparently minor changes to the lights and bumper they told me.
Also, what should be the 'free gifts' we can get from the sales person? So far i can only get arm rest, door visor and full tank petrol.
My first time buying a car

Any more advice would be helpful too!
