Difference between Art and a Picture

I LOVE photography. And I saved money to finally buy a nice DSLR camera. I hope that one day I can take photos like a professional. But I wanna know.. What makes a photo an art and a photo a photo??

I believe that the angle you take is extremely important.. not just an angle an ordinary man will take from.. And also the colour of the objects that will pull the viewer's attention. But even then.. I feel something is missing from my pictures.

Here are some of my proud pictures. I have the passion for it, no doubt. And I hope I could take in your constructive criticisms and learn from it and help me move forward towards my passion on taking pictures like a PRO!

Thanks for your helpful comments..
Much obliged! =)

[attachmentid=2559612]
This is tandoori chicken in the 'oven' taken from a mamak store

[attachmentid=2559613]
A nice scenery I took while hiking

[attachmentid=2559614]
A beautiful plant that hasn't 'blossom'

[attachmentid=2559615]
The lights reminds me of christmas =D
thoughts on EOS camera

Hi, I need some help about EOS cameras

I'm planning on getting a EOS camera in the future but I would like to know their advantages and disadvantages and recommended brands(and the reason too, please). Right now, I'm having a compact DSLR, a Canon Powershot SX20IS. As far as I know, EOS cameras are heavy, need to be high maintained and very expensive (plus the lenses, flashguns etc) however, a camera like the powershot cant really add on much.

In my knowledge.. my powershot has 20x zoom and has macro as well.. If I were to have a EOS.. does that mean I have to buy a specific lens for each specific action? I guess I'm wondering. is it worth it? to spend your earned savings on an EOS camera by the end of the day?

Please let me hear your thoughts about it. If I were to buy my next camera, I'd like to choose wisely with the money I have and so it can be with me for a very long time. THANKS!
