Data Network Not Available, HELP!

Has anyone here experienced the frustration of [data network not available] here? I am a total noob android user and my phone is basically for normal voice call and sms. But this [data network not available] thing make me can't receive any calls or sms from outside and I will only realize until me myself want to make a call.

I am a DIGI user and there isn't any problem with the line when this [data network not available] happened. I missed a lot of important calls because of this issue and I did not realize at all (since the digi line seems to be OK). A way to fix this is restart the phone and I will get the network back. But still this can't fix the main issue as I will still miss those calls if this happens again.

This happened once in 2 weeks (the one I noticed, I am not sure with those happened without me realizing it)

Anyone has any idea how to fix it permanently?!

And one more thing, my phone shut itself off automatically without my notice also. Once in 3 weeks.

Note: I am really a newbie in android. My phone is Samsung Galaxy i9003. I got it 2 months ago. And, I have no idea how to use 3G, GPRS or whatever.

Please help me! I just want to make normal calls!
