Hi guys,

i have a set of speakers for sale. they are the original bronze series from monitor audio. they are one of the first series from monitor audio back in the 90's era.

here are the specs

I've replace the 1" gold dome tweeter to a spanish made 1" soft silk dome tweeter 100% direct fit, no additional modifications done.

Reason for the replacement is because the tweeter blown the day i got it and there's no warranty on it.

as you can see it, i've lost one piece of the jumper. because i use bi-wire. can't find it anywhere in my stash. this can be easily done by using a wire to connect them.

guys....

i need to ask one question i tried searching the whole wide world i'm not able to get a clear answer... it's regarding Digital Output.

let's say normal CD is limited to a sampling rate of 44.1khz... thus whatever equipment we use to play.. it'll read as 44.1khz...

then... my question is... when we use digital output, by right we get 44.1khz... but if let's say my cd player is Marantz CD6002, the player have the ability to up-sample....

1) do i get up sample on my digital output ?
or
2) they up sample within the cd player itself and output analog to phono ?

why i ask ?

i use ARCAM rDAC. the Fibre optic input is limited to 48khz. while the coaxial can go all the way to 192khz.

this will tell me if i can get over with 44.1 khz fibre optic or i should get a coaxial in order to maximize whatever my cd player digital output is.....
