PETALING JAYA: PAS will wait for the outcome of tomorrow’s special Cabinet meeting before deciding on its next step, saying it will continue its alliance with Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Umno.

PAS Supreme Council member Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali said the party as well as its Syura Council — PAS’ highest decision-making body — had agreed on this last night, Berita Harian reported.

“We will continue to defend PN and strengthen Muafakat Nasional (MN),” he said on the political alliance between the Islamist party and Umno.

“We will also be the bridge between Bersatu and Umno,” the Malay daily reported him as saying.

Khairuddin is the plantation industries and commodities minister in the Perikatan Nasional government, which is on the verge of collapse, with reports stating that Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin would resign tomorrow.

PETALING JAYA: Another memorandum has been submitted to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong this morning, this time from some 175 Muslim NGOs who pleaded with the King to intervene in the ongoing political turmoil.

Under the umbrella of Gerakan Pembela Ummah (Ummah), they appealed for the King and the Malay rulers to issue a decree for political leaders to prioritise the lives of Malaysians amid the worsening pandemic.

Ummah urged the King to put an end to the quarreling between politicians, adding that they were concerned that no party would have the majority to form a new government should the current one fall.

“Unfortunately, political leaders prioritise their own egos and their parties’ and groups’ interests, not the welfare of the people,” it said in the memorandum. .

“They do not use Parliament as a place to reach a consensus to war against the mutual enemy, instead destroying our democracy by abusing it for their own interests.

“Our view is that a change of prime minister, Cabinet and government is not the right thing to do at this time, because it will only add to the confusion that we already have.”

The coalition also said there was no guarantee that a new government could manage the Covid-19 situation better and recover the economy.

Several other NGOs have submitted their own memorandums to the King, though calling for the opposite of what Ummah was pleading for.

Gabungan Bertindak Memorandum Rakyat Malaysia had urged Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and his Cabinet to resign for failing to manage the pandemic, while a coalition of nearly 40 NGOs wanted Muhyiddin and other government officials to be sacked over the emergency ordinances’ fiasco.

Muhyiddin’s majority support in the Dewan Rakyat hangs in the balance after 15 Umno MPs reportedly withdrew their support for him and his administration, either through public or statutory declarations.

This leaves the governing Perikatan Nasional-led coalition with only about 100 MPs in the 222-seat Dewan Rakyat.

Etoro deposit exchange rate

Anyone using Etoro for trading here? I’m new to the platform and I was advised by their support staff to deposit money via credit card or debit card.

I’ve tried depositing 600 USD but the exchange rate that I got charged is really high. Ended up about myr 4.48/usd rate. Is this normal? It’s a cimb debit card by the way.

Any advise on a more reasonable exchange rate out there?

Earlier when PH was in power, BN so noisy and said PH incompetent. Now they are in power, why Hishammudin didn’t use his “connections” to get Jho Low back?

If Jho Low come back and return the money, I think our belanjawan 2021 can cover easily.

Hi,

I am looking for a passionate android and web application developer (full stack if possible) to work on a prototype enterprise application. I'm seeking preferably someone who is willing to built something as a partner/founder mentality instead of just a job. I will be handling the business side of things as I already have established a network and hence I couldn't focus on the application development although my background is in technical.

Don't worry, I am not looking to exploit, I'm sincerely looking for a programmer that could help me develop the working prototype. There will be monetary compensation (I will be putting in own capital investment) for the developer, but certainly couldn't afford to pay top dollar. But do take note that it will be a monetary + partnership (shareholder equity) basis. I guess that's fair. I will bear most of the risk.
