WD My Book Studio 6TB - RAID 0

I have a WD My Book Studio Edition II 6TB that is not powering up.

I think I have it set as RAID 0 (it shows 6TB in Windows Explorer).

This is my backup drive where I backup everything in it, including important files and documents, photos of my children and everything.

Hopefully it's just a busted power adapter, which I ordered and hopefully will be delivered soon.

What if it's not a broken power adapter, is there an easy way to get the data out? I am pretty sure the hard drives (2x 3TB WD Green) in it are still functioning as normal as I was still using it last week.

EDIT: I've not taken the drives out to plug into another computer so the RAID 0 configurations are still intact.

Hi, my daughter is 2 months old now and I manage to get an appointment with JPN to register her birth in November. I got the appointment the next day she was born. She will be 4 months by then.

I read on JPN's Facebook comments that this will be considered late registration and "Pendaftaran Kelahiran Lewat" or something like that will be printed on her birth cert. Is this true?

The thing is, it is not our fault that the registration is late but we couldn't get an earlier appointment. If you check now, the earliest available appointment is like March 2022. Judging on their Facebook comments, it seems that everyone is having the same problem. Check it out here LINK. 1.5k comments so far.

I've been trying to call JPN for the past week, everyday, from morning to evening and I couldn't get through.

How to set up Guest network

Hi,

All the computers in my office are connected to the Innacomm RX4400. We sometimes have guests coming over (auditors, accountants and all) and I only want to give them access to the internet and not the LAN.

Will a guest network be enough? Is the RX4400 capable of doing it because I don't see the guest network options in the configuration page.

I have a spare unused router I can use also for this purpose. Which is easier to set up and how do I do it? I did it once a long time ago (google) but I have no idea how to do it again.

Hi guys,

I'm having problems receiving SMS codes for 2-step logins (I have problems from Twitter. Google didn't try because I don't want to risk not being able to login after I log out to test) and TAC codes from foreign banks recently. Anyone having the same problem?

I know at least 2 of my friends using Maxis are having the same problem. The problem is not from the originator because my friends using other telcos seems to be receiving these codes fine.

Any help?

Where to scan MKA chip?

Hi all, want to ask something here.

There is a border collie in my office. She's been there for a few years now.

From what I understand, when the collie is a puppy, she's always bitten by a larger dog in the house, which is why the owners put him in my office.

I was told that she is MKA chipped as well.

My question now is, is there a place where I can scan her MKA chip and at least know what's her given name and details?

I'm planning to adopt her to my new place and I will be taking her to a vet for a check up. Will it be hard to train her? She has had training before I think because whenever I told her to sit, she sits and extends her paw to me.

Brand new PC, not booting

I built a new PC but having problems. This is going to be a long question so please bear with me.

These are the specs of the PC:
CPU: Core i5 2500K
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Kit (Using non XMP profile)
GPU: MSI HD6990
HDD: Corsair Force Series 3 60GB (connected to SATA3 port) (Boot drive - ACHI)
HDD: WD 2TB Green (Connected to SATA2 port)
PSU: SilverStone 850watts

Assembled the PC. Everything works fine for a day. All original software. All drivers are the latest.

After that, it starts to go haywire. It crashes and refuses to boot. When booting it says that it couldn't find a boot drive. However, when messing around in the BIOS, changing drives from ACHI to Auto to IDE, it works, 1 time out of 10 times.

Initially I thought it's the memory as I set it to use the XMP profile but it's the same thing. Then I thought it's the power supply as 850 watts for the HD6990 is cutting it close but same thing happened when I used a lower powered GPU, as well as the in-built Intel GMA.

Tested it with bare minimum components, AKA CPU, one stick RAM, HD6990 and the SSD. Boot it up, system said no boot drive (but the SSD has Windows 7 Home Premium installed). I thought the partition table went kaput. Put in the Windows 7 CD, it said it fixed the partition table but same thing. Can't boot.

I figured since it's a partition table problem, formatting it is the easiest way, I then formatted the SSD, reinstall Windows on the SSD and it works fine but only for a few hours and the problems repeating itself again.

All components are brand new, except the graphics card, which I'm pretty sure it's not faulty.

What's the problem? Did I do anything wrong? How do I solve it?

Monitor calibration

Hi,

I need some answers or maybe some solutions of this problem.

PROBLEM: I work in the print industry and my designer uses a non-Mac computer for her designs and layouts. Recently the stuff that she designs are different from the stuff that is printed. the colours are off and dark. Everything she does, we do print it out using our colour laser printer and it was perfect but when it arrives at the printer, the colours are screwed.

We asked the printer if they did anything to our files and they said nothing and everything was printed according to our files.

We do not have a colour spider.

I have a Macbook with me and I am not very particular about the colour on my monitor. I've been using the "Colour LCD" profile on my display settings.

So my question is, is the colour on my Macbook accurate and can it be used as a benchmark for my designer's monitor? Which profile should I use for print media?

Is the printer's colour setting off or are they accurate?

What are the specialties of happy that make people crazed over it?
Here is the most interesting part of happy. The call rate of happy is as follow:
For every 10 seconds, a user will be charged for RM 0.10. That means 1 minute will be equivalent to RM 0.60. When it reaches 1 minute and 39 seconds, RM 0.99 will be charged. Wait, you can talk up to 45 minutes for only RM 0.99! Yes, no hidden charge or whatever!
After 45 minutes limit time is reached, the call will be cut off. No worry, call back and follow the above procedures, you can talk again and again for RM 0.99 for another 45 minutes call until your credit is all used up!
I understand that happy is a subtelco of Digi, is the RM 0.99 charge rate only applies to calls made to Digi network?
No, absolutely no! You can make any call to anywhere as long it is within Malaysia. That means, to any network provider or any fixed lines at only RM 0.99 for 45 minutes!
However, there are exceptions for certain numbers. For example, no. that begins with 1300 or 1800 will be charged at RM 1 per minute and for phonebook directory 103 will be charged at RM 2 per minute! Please take note that happy can't make out call to 100.
Wow, amazing call rate! How about its sms rate?
Sms rate is charged at RM 0.10 per sms to any Malaysia's network providers and RM 1 per international sms. Besides that, local MMS is charged RM 1 per MMS and RM 2 per international MMS.
I wonder if happy offers nice call rate for international calls?
Unfortunately no. International calls will cost you a bomb, RM 5/minute to any country!
Besides, making out calls and sms-es, is there any other service provided by happy? Like 3G?
As for now, no. Only GPRS is available, To activate GPRS, a one time fee of RM 2 will be deducted from your credit and for every 10kb of transferred GPRS data will be charged at RM 0.50.
I'm already a happy user but I don't know where to get my happy credit reloaded?
You can purchase it from its website via credit card with RM 10 minimum credit or reload from the happy booths in the selected Giant outlets. Else, you can try CIMBClicks Internet banking to reload your credit. Petronas and 7-11 have started to sell happy reloads too, but only at certain outlets at this early stage. Or, you can just simply buy a Digi reload coupon to reload your credit.
As a happy user, I need to know what are the important contact numbers of happy in case if anything happens.
You can call 014-3456789 for sim pack or reload purchasing. Or, 014-3333800 for happy customer service help desk. But, bear in mind every call will be charged at RM 2.00.
Oh, how about any shortcut key codes for happy users?
Yes, here they are:
Call *126# to check balance.
Call *123*16 Digits Digi reload coupon no.# to reload your happy.
Call *128#,7,4 to switch off automatic balance notification.
Call*128#,6,4,4 to switch off Voicemail services.
Call *128#,6,4,3, Voicemail OFF but Misscall Notification ON.
What about the reload validity of happy?
It is 60 days validity for every reload made.
How many sim packs can an I.C. register for?
The users are told that one I.C. can only register up to 10 sim packs and no transfer ownership can be done at the moment.

I am using IE6 on my desktop, Flock, Safari and FireFox on my mac.

Recently I've added NuffNang's ads and Twitter's badges.

Everything is fine when I view my blog on my Mac but on my desktop(IE6), my sidebar is all the way down there instead of at the top right corner.

My twitter is not updating on my desktop as well.

Is it because of IE6 or is it because something went wrong when I pasted the codes from NuffNang and Twitter?

P.S. My IE6 is not updated with patches...I am not saying why, but I know you guys will have guessed it.
