To use SSD require any minimum Spec?

Hey guys,

I'm planning to upgrade my disk drive into SSD and to remove all my old HDD,

but i I have no idea whether my Mobo Foxconn H61MX would support it, is there anything as such like minimum requirement to use SSD?

my system spec is:

Foxconn H61MX LGA1155
i3 3.5 GHZ - LGA1155
16GB 1600Mhz HyperX Fury
GeForce GTX 470 1GB
WD CAVIAR BLACK 1TB HDD X 2

DDR2 RAM Compatibility for INTEL

Hi guys,

hope i have posted at the correct section,

I have a HP Compaq towerstation that powered with

CPU: INTEL CORE 2 DUO 3.33GHZ
Currently RAM: 2X 2GB PC DDR2 RAM 800Mhz PC-6400 KVR800D2N6/2G
Graphic: NVIDIA GTX 430 1GB - PCIE-x16

And i planned to upgrade the RAM into 8GB. The HP specification says my system supports until " 8-GB DDR2 Synch DRAM PC2-6400 (800-MHz) Non-ECC (4 x 2GB) "
The thing is i have only 2 slots of DIMM.

So i found an RAM module : 4GB Kingston Desktop PC DDR2 RAM 800Mhz PC-6400 KVR800D2N6/4G, that cost a reasonable price.

I'm just wondering will my motherboard support this module??

Can anyone advice me on this.

Hi, guys,

hope i've posted at the correct place, i have a one unit of 3COM Superstack 3 Switch 3226, used for my home network purpose, yes, it has the Layer 3 functions.

okay, what i wanna ask you guys in here is, currently the switch has no LED were lit in any of the LAN ports or in the POWER/SELF TEST section, When i power it ON, the FAN kept spinning. The POWER/SELF TEST led lit then dies in a second.

If i tried to connect my computer No connectivity.

I can't even access the console mode....

So, what i wanted to know is, what could be the problem?,
or it would be easy for me if anyone can let me know, any shop in Lowyat that repairing this switch.

and if possible please let me know the approximate price that could cost to repair it too....

Hi, guys

i installed the CISCO Network Magic For My Linksys N....and the software has expired....so I've remove it....now when i tried to change my LAN Ethernet cable IP address...to default i mean the TCP/IP 4 for Local Area Network....I can't change it all....

I tried to disable my wireless and plug the network cable straight from laptop to my Unconfigured Router which with DHCP function default 192.168.1.0 address....
and when i checked in the network status using the GUI or Ipconfig/all
it shows 169.254.38.8......when i tried to manually configure it.....once i click Apply.....it automatically changes to 169.254.38.8 back.....

When i tried to use other IP than 192.168.1.0 which is 135.3.75.0.....it stays....i mean it didn't change back to 169.254.38.8......but when i use the 192.168.1.0......once i click the APPLY it change to 169.254.38.8..................

What all i have done:

1.Restarted the laptop.....Many times
2.Tried to diagnose using windows tools....Many times
3.Tried to use DHCP......It still stay in 169.254.38.8
4.Tried to change manually.....It still stays in 169.254.38.8
5.Manually configured to other Ip address than 192.168.1.0...It allows....

What can i do to solve this problem....i need to use the default address 192.168.1.0.....to configure my new router....

Hello guys.

I have buy an new Prolink H5201 ADSL2+ETHERNET MODEM ROUTER....
While i were making settings to the virtual server,
i upgrade the firmware, but i didn't verify what version it is...and i just upgrade it...

now i even can't access any settings than viewing the status ....all other icons is not available....i download the firmware from here http://www.pogz.net/

please help me to restore back the old firmware...as i know the default version is 1.3.9-20071130_8305 which is listed in the user manual.....

i even can't access the firmware upgrade section.....really frustrated....

Really looking for your guys help....

please reply ASAP.

Cisco Wireless-N Home Router

Hello guys,

In my previous POST i've mention that i got Cisco Wireless-G Home Router as a Christmas present, some of the good hearts helped me to understand a bit about this router......

I exchange my WIRELESS-G HOME ROUTER with my friend with WIRELESS-N HOME ROUTER,

last night i try to configure it using the CD that given, and i was able Share my HOME internet. So i tried to ping my ADSL modem+router and i got reply, and when i try to access any computers on my home LAN i can access through wireless....

When i check on my laptop the adapter details is: IP in use is a default IP which is 192.168.1.2
and i can access my WIRELESS-N ROUTER that has the IP 0.0.0.1 ....

Alright, the problem is like this, WHY CAN'T I ACCESS MY LAPTOP FROM A COMPUTER THAT ON MY HOME LAN

My home LAN uses CLASS C, IP: 135.13.75.0,

when i try to ping my wireless router through my LAN computers No Reply at all.....
but when i ping a computer on the home LAN from my laptop i can get a reply....

So i try to change the IP address for the wireless clients and for the wireless device, which is like in below:

Router ip: 135.13.75.12
CLASS C

CLIENT IP STARTS FROM 0.0.0.20

It able to assign address, but i can't access the internet or the network, when i PING DESTINATION HOST UNREACHABLE,

All the computer on my home LAN uses the host IP address below 19.... which is starts from 0.0.0.3 until 0.0.0.19....

If i change the router and client address back to the default IP 192.168.1.0.....I can access internet and computer on the LAN, but i can't access my laptop that on the wireless...

So i just want to ask, how to configure to make those access work, i mean laptop from wireless can access my home LAN and at the same time computers from Home LAN can access the laptop that on the wireless.....

anyhow, what i want to know now is, i don;t understand what is that G for, my friend said wireless has about A,B,G and more...this could be only supports the G.....

Hope i have posted at a correct place, i was looking for a network security device for my home LAN, and i find out about D'Link DSD 150....I'm interested to purchase it, but i couldn't find any more detail in the Malaysia D-Link official web page...

What i want to know, Is this device is available in Malaysia? and how much it cost?? and is it available in Lowyat?
Or is there any other suggestions, but i want the same specification i mean i want what all the services that this D'Link DSD 150 has......

Good Day to You all,

I got a few question running in my mind.. I plan to do my part time degree at Open University in Degree in Networking. Im a fresh graduate from Polytechnic in Diploma Kejuruteraan Electronic ( Computer ). I would to know is that good im continue my further studies at Open U.. I have select Open U because it is flexible and the fees is quite cheaper than other University..

Could any one advice me in this matter from the quality wise, education, is that government approved for all the courses , and is that i will get job from government after i grad from Open U..

XP failed after installed Ubuntu

Hello guys, i installed Ubuntu9.10 by last week,and after i install it,it find out my hard drives has a problem....but i keep on using it....i install my ubuntu on the next partition which i clear it completly....

after onw week when i boot into my windows xp....it loads and enter into windows but in a couple of minute it logged off and restarts the computer.....

after couple of restart i get the blue screen...well the windows favorie screen...which says:

A problem has been detected windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
a process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited to been terminated. and more crap messages asking me to use F8 and all.....end with

as i was using my laptop, i needed to shut it down for a while...after switching it on back, nothing appeared on the screen and the HDD lights is only blinking for a few moments with or without the power cord its the same......
