I paid RM400 on 19/10/2017 but he keep giving me various excuses and my account still not created after many days.
I requested for refund on 23/10/2017, he told me to allow him one more day to create my account.
He still asking me to keep waiting on 24/10/2017. At 9pm I told him I want refund first but he said need wait 25/10/2017.
On 25/10/2017 morning I asked regarding the refund status but I believe he has blocked me already.

I have been using this D-Link DNS-327L for almost a year. I am using two 2TB hard disk without RAID and file system is EXT4.
There are Disk 1 and Disk 2. Disk 1 is used until 80% for backups of my computer files while Disk 2 is used until 60% for storage of my video files.
Last month when I tried to copy the video files from Disk 2, the copy speed dropped to 0 kbps after few seconds and unable to copy anymore.
Then I test copy other video files, most of the files facing similar dropped copy speed but are able to resume copying with extremely low copy speed.
However about 10% of my video files are unable to proceed copying.
I thought it might be my hard disk failing so I got myself a new 3TB hard disk to replace my Disk 2. I rescued whatever video files I have then put back to this new hard disk.
I did not test with Disk 1 as I have very little video files there.
One month has past and yesterday I faced the same issue when I copy some video files from my Disk 1.
Now I think it might not be the hard disk problem. Can any expert here advise and help me please?

Raid 1 Setup Question

Hi all Sifu, I want to ask regarding Raid 1 Setup on a Server environment. I know that the purpose of Raid 1 is data mirroring to reduce downtime caused by disk failure. It does not prevent the user or a virus crashing the system.

I am thinking to setup Raid 1 with two hard disks initially and then unplug the mirrored second hard disk. I will backup the all the database to NAS regularly. Therefore in case of a virus or crashing or disk failure, can I can avoid the downtime by immediately insert back the mirrored second hard disk and restore all the database back?

Please guide me accordingly. Thank you.

Hi. I am planning to get a server for my small office use. I have never used a server before and I have practically nil experience in this.

My usage will be hosting SQL Server Express edition and my accounting software. I searched online and found two cheap server solutions as below:-

I will have about 8 local users and thinking of connecting 4 remote users. I want to save money and not going to use Professional edition Windows. Is the Windows Server 2012 Foundation editions suitable for my usage?

I would appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thank you.

I am having a weird problem when copying files...
Not sure if it is a hardware or software problem...
I tried copying my video folder to my new hard disk...
Total size more than 500GB...
The thing is that the copying process freezes for about 30 seconds...
and then continue copying...
This happens for about every 100GB of files copied and the problem repeats...
Anyone has any idea what seems to be the problem??

I am using the following specs on my PC:-
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Intel Core I5-3570
Asrock Z77 Extreme4
2x4GB Kingston HyperX
Sapphire HD7750
and multiple hard drives...

Hi. I need to ask sifu here some advice.

I am planning to upgrade my desktop computer and I have the following in mind:
(1) Intel Core I5 3570 - Anyone know when it is available?
(2) Motherboard - Please suggest me an above average one.
(3) 2x4GB - I see in viewnet that Corsair is 2xRM68 and Vengence is RM159. Just RM23 extra should I get Vengence? Will there be any difference?
(4) Sapphire 7750 or Winfast GTX550 TI - AMD is newer and Nvidia is slightly older, which would you recommend?
(5) PSU - Please suggest me a reliable and power saving one.
(6) LG IPS236V or Dell U2312HM - I see LG is very slim and good looking. Which would you recommend?

I already have my own hard disk (three hdd) and do not need a casing. I will not overclock and my budget is around RM2000+-.

Any advice and help are very much appreciated. Thanks.
