Hey peeps,
so i'm actually looking at upgrading my current specs to get more fps on cs-go. Please note cs is a more cpu required game and gpu isn't much of importance

current specs ;
i5 4670k @ 3.4ghz [overclocked]
MSI GTX N770 TF 2GD5/OC 2gb
Corsair 16gb ddr3 8gbx2
1tb HDD
SAMSUNG EVO 840 120gb SSD
Corsair RM650
MSI Z87-G45
corsair h100i (not too sure)

I'm actually looking into upgrading to an i7 4790k @ 4.2ghz on the current setup. Can someone with expertise please advice if this would be bottle necked by the current parts?
Also if i need to do a full system software wipe ?
i'm pretty sure i will need a flash bios update (correct me if i'm wrong)

Also a friend suggested i upgraded my gpu to a 960 / 970 / 980. I wouldn't mind but if i'm able to use my current and not bottle neck i'd rather not swap gpus. Please advice. Thanks

or if someone could suggest a better option ? p.s. i know upgrading to a whole new pc is better but i'd rather just upgrade what i have if possible
