M17x r3 warranty NBD vs Complete cover, years

Hi,

I am getting the Alienware M17x r3. And I can't really decide which warranty to get, standard NBD or complete cover, and how many yrs. 3, 4, or 5 years.

At the moment, I am leaning towards 3 yrs complete cover. The price difference between NBD and Complete cover is not that huge, approximate RM 140 difference per year if I am not wrong?

Malaysia and Singapore dell have Complete cover, right?

Does dell give us a new model machine if they can't get parts to repair due to parts unavailable in future or they just upgrade the parts to new version?

Any suggestion?

Need suggestion on nameplate of alienware

Hi! I need some suggestion for phrase on the nameplate of M17x r3

I don't want something too unique like superbaby, KILLABO, DORAMONE or a NAME.

I like it to be a more general one which looks ok if i want to sell it in future but not "M17x". Too many USA owners use it.

Maximum 20 characters INCLUDE SPACE

My own list only have

ALIENWARE INSIDE

ALIENWARE CLUB

ALIEN SPIRIT

ALIEN TECH

NO TRESPASS

....... AND SO ON

Recomend a light wheeled bag for M17x r3 on filght

I am looking for a wheel back pack for traveling purpose, which carry on into the plane.

Example something like

But these 2 inner laptop compartment would not able to fir the monstrous alienware.. even the main compartment is also miss by a little.(confirmed by emailed the shop)

Any one have any good suggestion.

Main requirement is

1)able to fit - most important..

2)light weight-m17x r3 itself is 4.3kg, Bag>3kg

3)low profile and does not look bulky

4) The best is able to fit the bag into the area below the front seat on the air plane.

5)Reasonable priced.

Padding protection is not so worry because I have the case logic sleeve for it and I am not going throw the bag down the stairs in order to test M17x r3 build quality.

On my list, I only have NBR, lowyat forum, Hardwarezone singapore and 戴尔Alienware外星人论坛.

Do you have any more to suggest? It is best to have alienware thread, if not also never mind.

Question/problems regarding dell vostro 3750

Hi Sifus, I bought a 3750 last month, everything is fine except :

when i connect it to a samsung 23" monitor through vga port. I find the screen flicker on white background, small white lines or patches moving, but other colour is ok ( may be darken colour wont notice)

Any idea what is causing it? power not enough? loose on vga port due to poor construction or something wrong with the notebook component?

I also found the internet download manager very bugging with it, tray icon not appearing, menu would not appear after I click idm. Don't know whether it is dell or sandy bridge design problem? My previous laptop with i7-740 working fine with idm except keep auto shut down due to heat issue. haha

Note" when I was re-install idm. I noticed 1 time it stated incompatibility with Amd64. I searched the web, but still do not know what it is? Any idea? bro.
