Free range eggs in Malaysia?

Hi all,

I'm an expat living in Malaysia. In Melbourne you would struggle not to find free range eggs but in Malaysia they are rare as hen's teeth!

Yes they are more expensive but relaxed, well cared for chickens have less chemicals and produce tastier eggs IMO. Ethical reasons also play a part as the conditions many battery hens live in is disgraceful.

Anyways I want to start a cafe in Melaka; does anyone have any contacts for Free Range Egg suppliers in Malaysia? Some cafes in KL I see already serve them. I want to promote their usage in my cafe.

Feel free to add your opinion or promote ethical eggs here

Hiring foreign workers in Hospitality?

Hi,

We are looking to start our first hotel & restaurant, to be based in Melaka. We have a HR manager who informs me that the Jabatan Tenaga Kerja Malaysia (Labour Union) only allows foreign workers to be hired for Head Chef & Cook position. We wanted to get foreign workers for that and also the following:
-spa therapists
-wait staff
-hotel cleaning crew

Can anyone confirm if this is true? She is basically saying that we have to hire locals for everything but the cooks. But every restaurant I go to, every spa & hotel, there are an abundance of foreign workers, from Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, India, China, Myanmar etc.

If anyone can shed some light on this subject I'd be appreciative. Contact for agents who can provide legal labour in Melaka would also be a bonus.

Cheers

Can U Mobile router hardwire to PS3?

Hi all,

I have a U Mobile router (5 wireless devices can connect). Is there any way to connect the PS3 by lan cable? Or plug in the U Mobile by USB? I think it requires some installation first so I doubt that would work..

I just want a better speed for PS3 gaming than connecting wirelessly to a wireless internet. Speedtest is usually 3mbs+ on the host laptop where the router is usually plugged in. But PS3 on wireless is so slow.. any ideas?

560M dead? Sager laptop not running games anymore

Hi all,

I have had this laptop about 6 months (see signature) from illegear.com. Up until now its been working great.

Last night while playing Warcraft 3, the graphics just started corrupting and pixellating everywhere. I thought the game was corrupted, but then the same thing happened to Dota2 and Starcraft 2.

Example 1:

Example 2:

While in Windows 7 everything is fine. Only when I switch to a game does it completely wreck.

Windows example:

I have tried a clean install of new Nvidia drivers but the problem remains. I use this laptop everyday so hopefully there is a fix without taking it back to illegear or something

I thought this laptop had a way of using an onboard graphics for Windows and 'switching' to video card for games.. so perhaps the problem is with the 560M..

Any advice appreciated.

Where to get custom (digital image) T-shirt?

Hi,

I have a few designs for custom one-off T-shirts I want to have made. Typically include a digital image or in some cases just text.

Can anyone link me to a website or shop that can do this?

I contacted tshirtking.com but they only do orders of 50 or more.. I only want one of each

Thankyou for any help.

Hi all,

Just moved to Puchong BK2/13 from Melaka, need a new phone line and broadband. Preferably 4mb. Also need a WiFi modem.

I already rang the streamyx.tm agent because the 4mb deal looked great, but he thinks I can't get streamyx or Unifi in thus area. Is this true?

Can any agent PM me about services I can get, I'm very keen to stop surfing on my phone..

Thankyou all!

Request: repair of PS3 / quote for 160Gb slim

Hi all,

Been using my brother-in-laws PS3 but recently it would turn off randomnly, usually 5-15 seconds after startup. Just beep beep beep, power off. I searched around and learnt about the YLOD (Yellow Light of Death).

Anyways, just wondering what my options are:

-do any stores in KL repair PS3's that have this problem? Don't think I have any warranty, unit has never been opened/modified in any way
-in case the unit is dead, how much can I pickup a new 160Gb slim model for in LowYat?

Thankyou!! Look forward to getting back on PSN and working on my SSFIV skillz!
