Problem with AJAX

Hi guys,

Since I'm boring at my office, i decided to learn some new programming language, but i not sure why the code is not running as this one http://www.w3schools.com/ajax/tryit.asp?fi...e=tryajax_first

I had tried to copy down all the code and even edit a lot, it still doesn't work T^T

So, izzit I need to install the server software just like the PHP need to install Xampp ?? or sth problem on the file ext. (HTML I using) ??

btw, is there any best website for learning programming language? I really interested and willing to learn more, so far i only know the basic for :
1) Html, CSS, PHP
2) Javascript
3) C++
4) VB
5) SQL
6) ASP (Learned some from a short lecture but never use)

Im currently taking diploma BIS courses(2009 June Intake) in MMU and its already my final semester, so may you guys tell me

for those who still single yet .. im not going to waste my time at home anymore during christmas T^T .. all my friend in a relationship jor ... so i think i won't find much friend to accompnay me whn christmas ..
