And due to my own mistake of plugging straight from the plug instead of through my surge protection, the PSU got burnt after just a week of usage. I claimed the warranty through the local PC shop and waited 3 months for it. But by the time I got it back from the shop, i already have my own PSU. I want to sell it to recoup the money.

What is my next step as Quantity Surveyor ?

Good day,

I just recently laid off by my company in Kota Bharu, now I am currently hitting up LinkedIn and Jobstreet for works related to my profession.

Backstory:

After graduated from UTAR on 2010, I decided to head back to Kota Bharu to work with a main contractor company that I went training under for 6 years as an Assistant QS. Then I decided to resign and work with other to try my firsthand as a main QS.

However things didn't work out most of the time for me as I jumped from one company to the next due to the working culture that I couldn't handle, until I managed to land one on 2017 and worked till now.

Thus I have accumulated 10 years of experience as QS. However I have several questions:-

1. What is the current salary range for QS in KL/Selangor ?

2. While I have that much experiences, I believe mine is limited as my main job is mostly doing progress claim, request quotation, on site measurement and re-measurement if necessary and process sub-contractors' claims. Will there be any extra training for me ?

3. Should I take a rest for the month during the pandemic/MCO and then prepare to apply when everything calms down ? I have worked non-stop since graduated, only rest during public holiday, and I feel burnt-out. My confidence is at the lowest cause the reason the previous laid me off was I was not up to their expectation. I am also not confident in handling the works in KL if I ever get one, I feel like I might lie to them on my experiences and then give subpar performances.

Currently I feel like being at the dead end, and don't know where to go from here. I need some advises.

Collectibles Fair 2016 @ Kota Bharu

Organised by Kelantan Tourism Association, this event starts today from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. till Thursday at Gelanggang Seni Kota Bharu, right at the town center. 6 years after coming back here to work, this is the first collectible fair in my home town.

Entry ticket is RM2.00 per person. Eh reasonable enough, here's some of the drills

And Tamiya racing on the right. Around 4 years, there was a sudden revival of interest in Tamiya racing, and it is quite huge now.

More vroom. Dedicated hobbists swap kits to get into the circuit again.

Smack in the middle section is more of my interest. There's Transformers, Power Rangers and some third party stuff.

Next stop is Kamen Riders stuff. And abit of SHFiguart.

Even S.I.C stuffs make an appearance !

[WTA] About a stray dog I found

I tried look at the SPCA section in Pets Wonderland but it seems kinda dead, perhaps this is a suitable place to ask for suggestion.

Here's the backstory.

4 nights ago I saw a stray dog out of where just sitting on my front gate, I shoo'd him, and it limped away. I assume it must be someone else dog yet it was so frail but I just ignore it.

The second day coming home from work, my mom told me this horror story she heard from the neighbour, and it made my blood boil.

I dunno who the bloody hell did this, but that poor dog got put into a sack and tied up, and then left in our neighbourhood to be suffocated to death. 2 kids happened to pass by as they saw the sack moving. As the kids opened it the poor dog dashed out into the bush and at the same time scared them away. My mom was kind enough to feed it day and night, and along with suitable antibiotic as it got some skin disease on its left ears (from our observation today, the part seem cured).

Its current now is quite healthy from my point of view, however I feel that it needs a home as sometimes it just stand under hot sun, so confused.

Also it is unfortunate that me and mom decided not to have another dog as pet as our Black Labrador just passed away 7 months ago, the pain still linger. As I am currently live in Kota Bharu, I google around for SPCA and they happen to have a branch at my home town. Should I call them tomorrow ? I just hate to see its skin disease come back and I want it to become healthy again. Also I don't want to see it get bully by another dogs which happen to have their own homes.

Please advise.

So yeah,

- is it good enough ?

- should I just switch to Intel processor & mobo ? BTW I can up my budget to RM3500.

- Can the mobo listed above supports a better GPU than the shop recommended according to my budget ?

Also I have another in my head to explore around, but for now I wanna see the views of you guys first. Thank you.

Epic Games (Unreal Tournament Series) and People Can Fly (Painkiller) collaborate to bring you Bulletstorm, which put players in the shoes of Grayson Hunt, formerly the leader of a black ops team named Dead Echo, now somewhat more pathetic as a drunken space pirate.

Hope they release either in retail or Steam, as I want to buy it along with the Dark Void.

Microsoft Kernel Wave Audio Mixer

Hi, my PC just came back 2 days ago, everything seem working fine, until today. When I clicked on my MP3, a bar popped out told me something about bad directory and need to direct to other driver. I checked the device manager and there's a yellow exclamation point over Microsoft Kernel Wave Audio Mixer. I uninstalled it, restarted and voila, everything is back to normal, but it didn't last for long. I went out for lunch at 2 and I left my PC on cause I am downloading torrents. When I came back, the voice was off again. I checked the speaker plug behind my PC and the sub woofer but all seem fine. Couldn't be that driver, could it ?

As ridiculous as it get, I suspect my mother screwed my speaker, even my dad told me so. Further rpoof, I used to witness her almost destroyed my modem. :/

Any help ? It's quiet and very uncomfortable.
