Malaysia to name firms lacking board diversity

Malaysia plans to publish the names of companies with no women on their boards next year, and those firms risk losing government contracts.

The warning was issued by Prime Minister Najib Razak in a speech about women and the economy.

The comments come as Mr Najib seeks to boost credibility with voters in the wake of a corruption scandal.

Asia trails Europe and the US in boardroom diversity and has few policies to achieve more balance.

Mr Najib, praising the role of women in the economy, said 35% of top management posts in the public sector were held by females.

In Malaysia women make up 14% of board members, according to a survey by Deloitte tracking gender diversity on boards in 44 countries.

While low in global terms, that still tops the list in Asia.

In Japan, only 4% of board members are women, in South Korea 2.5%.

If the prime minister is really serious about female representation, then one would think starting with his own cabinet might be a good idea. There are only three female ministers in his entire team, making up just under 10% of his cabinet.

Even if ada witness...let's say u see a person for 2-3 seconds, u can remember his facial features so clearly meh?

An employee actively (and successfully) procures from HR Dept, fellow colleagues' confidential information e.g. salary, job grade, promotion, increment amount etc.

HR Dept is obviously in the wrong.

But against that employee, what are the possible avenues and actions that can be taken against such employee?

I'll try to make it as simple as possible.

Secondary school days -
Study, sports, Playstation, yamcha with friends...no problem.

College days -
Study, got girlfriend (FINALLY! I got my 1st and only "proper" girlfriend during my college days).
Then...study, work and girlfriend. Got a job and then study part-time/night classes, damn busy and tiring time of my life. Girlfriend stays with me and my parents, her parents allowed it because she's from outstation.

Graduated -
Full time working + girlfriend
Because she's staying with me, our after work hours are mostly spent together, occasionally I still got yamcha with my friends while she stays at home watching TVB/Korean soap dramas.

Break up -
Broke up with girlfriend. My life routine totally turned upside down, no more girlfriend around, after working hours really dunno what to do. My mum is working at night, while I don't talk much with my dad. Friends all busy with their lives, worse was, friends that are closer to me mostly work retail hours, after 10PM only they free to layan me.

Started to gamble at Genting, from once week, slowly become serious til 4-5 times a week. Sometimes even gamble til wee hours only come home. Mum won't know, she also work til wee hours. Dad never cared. No harm done, I was winning tens of thousands of RM.

Mum got cancer, stopped working, she every day either at home or go hospital for treatment. While I continue to stealthily go gamble, things started to turn downhill, emotionally unstable me started to bet recklessly and chase losses. Winnings turned to losses. Mum got to know, and asked me to stop. I listened to her, and stopped ever since.

Mum passed away -
Left only myself and dad at home. 2 creatures who don't talk to each other, other than the necessary stuff like "I need pocket money", "shampoo is running out", "help tapao food for me" etc.

With gambling out of the picture, afterwork hours seem like a torture, dunno how to pass time really. Got into drinking. Serious binge drinking in the sense of "no drunk won't go home."

Started get tired of my vice-fuelled lifestyle, yet totally have no idea how to pass time. When not out there drinking, recently all I've been doing is laying on my bed scrolling forum and Facebook or watching videos on YouTube, while whenever dad goes out I would be in the living room watch Astro, usually he will be the one watching, I don't want rebut Astro/TV with him when he's at home.

Friends are mostly having family already. All unkers and aunties busy with kids, even those not with kids also having partner already. Who so free to layan me?

Mostly alone nowadays or with drinking friends/members.

Any ideas?
