Mac, Switching fr Windows XP Pro

Hi,

After much consideration, I will be switching to Mac [or having both Mac & PC at a go]; either Mac Mini or MacBook [most probably MacBook for the portability].

I have some questions to check and hope you could assist me, thanks in advance.

1. Import or transfer of email messages
Currently I am using Outlook 2003 for email, contacts & calendar. Will I be able to transfer or export them to Mac?
Do I need any third party software to do that?

2. Treo680 & O2 XDA IIs
I am using both the devices. Any way that I can sync them with a Mac?
Need the contact, calendar to be sync......

3. Connecting to Windows Small Business Server
Currently running on XP Pro, requires login so can access the Exchange server & file server. Any advice on this so that I can continue to access the Exchange & files in the server?

4. Battery Life
How long do you think that MacBook can "tahan" working outside office without power supply?

5. Network Printer
Can I connect to the network printer & do the regular printing?

6. My colleagues are XP Pro users with Office 2003
Files that I have done in either iWork or Neo Office, when I send to them; can they open, view & edit & then send back to me?

7. Hardware
I am using external keyboard & mouse [Microsoft hardware] for my existing laptop. Does MacBook allows the similar connection as well?

8. Outlook 2003 to Mac
What mail software can I use in Mac?

Microsoft Office & Mac

For work related [can't get a education licence], would like to check whether iWork08 does the same as Microsoft Office for Mac.

I heard from Mac Asia that file or document saved in iWork08 cannot be read or opened in Windows Microsoft Office. Is that the case?

Server HDD Partition

Once the server partition has been done and the application is running well, can I relocate the HDD size?

The reason I asked this is because the server that we have the C drive (where all applications installed) are suffering low in disk space.

The only way I can think of for this is to relocate more disk space for C drive.

Anyone know how to do it?

When it is "On AC Power", does that mean it is:-
* running the notebook with the help of the power, with out the battery
* not charging the battery anymore as it is full now

Dopod 838: Activesync Setup

Got the Dopod 838 yesterday.

Have to day it is difficult to setup, compares with XDA IIs.

The first problem is that can't even get the Dopod 838 to sync with the computer. The message was no connection found.

Where as I connect my XDA IIs, no problem. Any help?

I started using XDA IIs since Nov 04. Still like it a lot.

However, don't think the device is built to last for more than 2 years (just my opinion).

Might have to buy or upgrade to another device this year.
