im looking to buy the MS1i and its pretty cheap (USD110: MYR344) on their website and they offer free shipping anywhere in the world. so im just wondering how long did it take for yours to arrive if you have purchased one from the website before. because i emailed them, they say maximum 90 day and they are not sure how long would it take to malaysia.

have anyone experience purchasing from the site? do share with us

MBP2010 Screw cant be taken out

Hey guys,

I just bought a new Seagate momentous XT to upgrade my MBP 15" 2010 Model. Done a full bootable copy, and just when im about to unscrew the backplate, one of the screw decided that it doesn't not want to come out. The Screw is basically stuck there, can't be twist in anyway, and it is the shorter screw not the longer screw.
i have a feeling that there is a misalignment during production.

Has anyone face this problem before? Anyone with solutions?

And also, if i bring it over to machines technicians, will they assist me in solving this problem.

hey guys, i about to get a new laptop since my current one is very laggy when i multi task with photoshop and lightroom running.
so im currently planning to get a new one, that basically handles what a photogs do and more.
i need a machine that can run Photoshop smoothly as well as lightroom at the same time with multiple tabs on.

i have to laptops in mind: the macbook white RM3699/ 3200 edu price and Acers new aspire 5470G RM3000

Reasons for Mac: love the OS, bigger and better touch pad, its apple, sick battery life, good UI, nice screen but small and overall alot of photogs uses mac

Reasons for the acer: Cheaper, core i5 proc, bigger screen, 500GB HDD, 4 USB, 4gb RAM, and windows 7 which i dont mind trying out.

the question i have is that how is windows 7 handling photoshop? cause im running vista and its slowww.
and also what recommendations do you guys recommend for a laptop for photogs?
my price range is around 3k - 3.5k.

hi guys, i plan to get a good solid tripod that will last me a couple of years... can you guys recommend me some with the budget of 350-400...

currently im thinking of getting a velbon sherpa 600R, is that a good tripod? any one used it before? the only thing is using a 3 way panhead.. thought of getting ball head... other then that, i have look at benro as well...

Questions On Ram

Hi guys,

Im planning to upgrade my ram to Kingston PC-6400 DDR2-800 2GB X 2...

It cheap and i can't afford to go for performance ram... at 1st i was thinking of buying 1gb X2 cosair XMS 800mhz.. but after reading, i realize that more ram is better then less performance ram...

i also just realize that these day vale ram are smaller than then last time value ram.. as in the build..

1) i just wanna know is there any difference between the smaller value ram and the bigger value ram?
2) am i able to over clock for this value ram?
3) do i need heat spreaders/ fan to over clock?
4) and do they sell heat spreaders for this size of ram?

Hardware problem... plz help...

hi guys... i just assemble a new rig today myself... using some old part of my com...

Mobo: Asus P5k
Proc: intel E8400
Ram:1.5gb
Gc: giga 4850 512
PSU: Silverstone strider 560w
Harddisk: 160gb & 250gb
Heatsink is intel stock heatsink..
abd a benQ combo drive
running with 2 12omm fans an 1 80mm...

it keeps restarting and keep saying CPU overheat error..

whats wrong? what can i do to make it ok?

im running a e8400 and getting a ati 4850 with one 160gb Hd and 250gb hd...

currently using cm extreme 460w...

do i need to upgrade... if upgrade, which would be the best... for a budget of around 280...

current thinking of CM extreme 650W or Gigabyte superb 550w or the OCZ game xstream 500w

which one would you guys recommend?

(DIY)No money to buy flash for bounch flash ?

i know everyone hate harsh light when flash is use.. for noobie like me, i have not enough money to get a flash for indoor photograhy, this works like a charm.. only using a business card and my pop up flash...

you guys can check this cool DIY

If you cant put the business card infront of you flash properly, use tape...

another thing is, you can wrap the business card in foil than the flash will have a bit more power...

and it is also very portable... lol..

and i tried it out, works like charm... even in a room with no lights...

the only thing is, pop up flash has its limits...

Photoshop Cs3 question

hi, guys...

im still new in the world of photography,and also really new to photoshop..

i cant seem to save my pictures in .Jpeg, when i click save as, the only few format i can save is .PSD and others whcih you cant view as a picture..

i added layers, change the colors and sharpen the pictures. so it basically like a project, do i have to end the project? if so how?

can you guys help me solve this problem?

I'm using photoshop cs3 extended..
