Possible to just learn how to play a few songs

Hi guys I find these songs, such as One Thing by One Direction and Boys Like Girls-Hero Heroine quite nice. So let's say I want to learn how to play this 2 songs on guitar without knowing much about how to play the guitar,is it possible?I just know a few basics like what are frets, how to hold and tune a guitar, how to hold a pick, and how to play a few chords like A,E,D,C,G only.

Building muscles for teens

Hi guys just need some suggestions on what kind of routine can I do in a gym if I want to have a nice body?I always do regular push-ups,bicycle crunches, and planks at home, and I got definition on my chest and shoulder muscles, but I'm slightly on the thin side.I'm not skinny,I have a tummy..but I'm just kind of thin, not broad-shouldered.And I got small forearms,I think it's because I do a lot of cardio over the past few months to train for a long-distance race.

So since my long-distance race is over,I would like to build some muscles, and train for sprinting events like 100m,200m instead. So what routine should I do?Thanks guys

Getting into Oxbridge or Ivy League

Hi guys now I'm in Form 5, and I am going to sit for my SPM this year.I always aim to be the best of the best, and I'm quite disciplined.I've always aimed to get into Oxbridge or the Ivy League,or one of the top universities in UK,Australia,Canada etc. But how should I start? I know I must get very good results in my SPM,straight A+,no less.Am I right? But after that? What should I do after SPM?I don't come from a rich family, they won't be able to help fund my education. Should I go into A-Levels or Form 6? How do I secure a place in one of the top universities?

I'm still a student now,and not sure what awaits me after SPM.My focus should be on SPM now but I am just wondering what should I do after that.I feel it's better to start researching early, instead of starting late and missing out on any scholarships etc. I hope u guys can help me.

Edit:And oh yes,I'm only taking 9 subjects for my SPM.I am a pure science student, not taking Chinese,I am from a national primary school. Are 9 subjects enough for a scholarship,or should I take 10?I regret for not thinking about this earlier,I should have thought about the number of subjects I should take in Form 4...now it might be too late,I haven't register the subjects for SPM,but if I take an extra subject now,is there enough time?

Your views on PPSMI

Guys what are your views about this PPSMI issue? It's STUPID isn't it,changing it back to Malay?

Do u know something? The pioneer batch of PPSMI in 2003,the students who first started PPSMI,are now Form 3.Next year, when they enter upper secondary, they will have to learn Maths and Science in BM.Now,I did not use the word 're-learn in BM',instead I put 'learn in BM' because this will be the first time they study in BM.All this while, since Standard 1,they had been studying Maths and Science in English. And now, after 9 years, they have to change to BM.

How stupid. And unfair. These batch of students, for their last 2 years in secondary school(Form 4 & Form 5, and also the hardest),they would have to learn new terms, and cope with 4 new pure science subjects,Add Maths,Physics,Chemistry,Biology.

And some people in /k,especially those in the PPSMI Thread, think changing it back to BM is good.Hahaha

Hey guys how can we avoid throttling, especially for torrent downloads?I am on the 1MBPS RM88 Streamyx package and I used to get 100+ kB/s speeds few months ago, then I stopped torrenting..now this week I started torrenting again and speed is less than 5 kB/s even for very good seeded torrents. Is my connection throttled or is it a coincidence because the AAG cable broke?

Guys does anyone know how to improve my download speed in uTorrent 3.0 with some change in settings?I remember this topic,Bypass Throttling for uTorrent 2.2 which was for uTorrent 2.2,the TS said to change the advanced setting(bt.transp_disposition) to 10.I did what he said and just like that immediately my speed went up to 100+ kB/s for all well-seeded torrents. My package is 1MB Streamyx.

But that was some time ago.Now all I get is around 10-20 kB/s using uTorrent 3.0,even for well-seeded torrents.Anyone know any settings I can change?I had search for Youtube videos but some said they are fake and useless.

Hi guys I'm 16 this year, and I do regular pushups, situps, and running.I lift some weights as well, but only 5KG.I don't have access to heaver weights because I can't go to a gym. There's none near my area and monthly fees are expensive for a student like me.

Should I wait until I'm above 18 and earning my own money and can drive my own car before lifting heaver weights, and concentrate on just doing pushups, situps, and running for now?Because I've been lifting these 5KG's dumbbells for few months now,but there are not much difference in my muscle size.Maybe just a bit in my chest and shoulders from the pushups I do.My chest and shoulders got nice shape, but my forearms are thin and my biceps is not very big.....Based on what I have read, even if I increase the number of reps,it will only increase muscle endurance. If I want to have a bigger muscle size,I would need heaver weights

And I do eat a lot of rice and meat.I love eggs, fish and chicken..But I don't take any protein supplements. And I love running.
