S3 problem

help me out guys
when i make calls with my s3, i can't hear people on the other end and vice versa; then the call hangs up automatically and the signal is lost but is back again after a few minutes.
i googled online and tried all the solutions (such as turning off noise reduction, cleaning the mic hole and even resetting my phone) but still it doesn't work.
and then i brought my s3 to samsung service centre and they told me it'll cost me rm600+ to change the motherboard, since my warranty has ended. they also told me it's better to change a new phone.
thus i'm in a dilemma now, to repair my s3 or get a new phone.
or does anyone using a s3 has faced this problem and got it solved?
help me out people
