I suspect my mom has depression, what should I do?

We have always thought that it's just my mom's personality to "talk loudly" (and yes, that's what she believes as well), but the yelling and shouting is wayyyyy too much to be considered as "talk loudly".

She is very easily irritated over very small and minor things. She will shout and scream, jumping into conclusions and keep rambling about random issues for hours and hours to the point where she will be very angry at a minute, then be crying and weeping the next, and then back to angry mode.

She even tried to chop me with a parang just now.

I shall not go into details about the latest family drama and what triggered her latest episode, but I can say that it's a very minor misunderstanding and it causes her to react this way.

I googled a bit, I think she might be having Agitated Depression/Mixed State.

But of course, I'm not a psychiatrist. But after years of dealing with this, I have finally convinced my dad that we really should seek professional help, this cannot go on.

We need a psychiatrist that can do outcall or "undercover mission" that can come to our place and talk to her and the family a bit, and see how are things. She doesn't think that she has any problem, and whenever we mention that she might be having problems she will start throwing a fit again. We cannot bring her to the psychiatrist, we need to bring the psychiatrist to her.

Does anyone here know any psychiatrists or centres that I can contact for more advice? Any suggestions for next course of action?

Where to learn popular/jazz piano?

Good day! I am a casual piano player, finished grade 8 Trinity exams but now I'd love to continue my piano studies by going for popular or jazz piano. Would love to learn about improvisation and such.

Anyone knows any good place to start or teachers? Perhaps some music schools around? I stay at Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur btw and have a day job.

Learning Cello at the age of 21?

Hi guys! I'm a piano player (kind of), started at 14 taking grade 8 this year, a few days ago I saw someone playing the cello and I'm really fascinated! Any cello players here to help me out a lil?

I would like to ask, is it hard to learn cello? I heard string instruments are hard to learn and you need quite some talent in hearing to pick up fast... @-o How much does a beginner cello cost? What's the price range for beginners out there? Does anyone know anywhere to learn cello within KL area? Preferably nearby Sri Petaling (but oh well, I can't find any music center that teaches cello here lol...)

For experienced cello players out there, how do you find the instrument? Is it really as fun as what it seems? Lol

N73 ME, or Nokia 5610?

Hullo peeps... I wanna ask, yeah as the topic states, N73ME better or Nokia 5610??

The latter is newly released and the former like uhh 2 years ago (yeah it's 2008 now), but after comparing the specs of both, they're actually kinda similar! Camera both 3.2MP, both can play music well... And the price today for both is comparable.

What I can see is N73 is a Symbian 60 OS, and 5610 is a S40 OS.

I can, and love dealing with softwares and gadgets, yeah so thats not a problem to me. But still, which is better? Is N73 dated today, or is it as hip as the new 5610?

Anything I missed out??
