Portable Rig

I have my gaming rig at home and now I'm working which involve in travelling and checking in hotels every now and then.

I'm thinking of having a new mini-portable rig which can sustain normal office (office-ppt-excel) jobs, designing (illustrator) jobs & as well as gaming (fallout 4, fifa16 atm)

Is it possible? Or shud i just dropped the idea and buy laptop instead?

Max budget would be 1.5k

Any ideas are welcomed

At the moment this is my rig after updated and been using half a year;

1TB + 1TB + 1TB hdd
gigabyte windforce gtx960
500w silverstone psu

I've been doing lots of editing & designing work at the moment and hardly games anymore. Only few games like fifa16 & will fifa 17 (i believe my current cpu is not up to par to play this game smoothly), fo4, skyrim, csgo and so on.

I have 1.5k budget to spend on new cpu & mobo ONLY this time.

What wud u guys suggest?

Should I go for amd or stick to intel?

p/s might go for 1060 later early next year or 480 depends on market value next year tapi itu cerita tahun depan laaa hehe

I was in the middle of scavenge hunting in skyrim and suddenly my pc flashes what it seems like pixelated image of some sort.

I tried to turn it off and on again, but to no avail.

Im using my phone atm and hoping that u guys can help me to sort this one out. I really have no clue on how to fix this thing.

Personally i think it might be the mobo/gc.

Please help me out guys

Hi sifus! Thanks for ur guides last time, up until today my 2k rig still at it's best condition. However, I need some recommendation on which part to upgrade because it has been 3 years ago I bought this rig and I guess it's time to spend a bit cash to it.

My specs are as follows;

- intel dh67cl mobo
- i5 2400
- 4gb ddr3 kvr
- msi gtx 560ti twin frozr
- 500w silverstone psu
- 1tb + 1tb hdd
- 20" aoc led monitor

Main purpose; still gaming!

Last time i can get ultra settings for bf3, but not for bf4. And it came a bit stressful to play watch dogs too

Which part do I need to upgrade? I'm hoping I can play 60fps ultra on watch dogs if that's possible

My budget is around 1k (or a tad bit more if necessary)

im gonna buy my 1st pc after this raya. but i have a slight confusion referring the ram and mobo type.

1) is different type of mobo can bring out different level of gaming performance? or can i just buy the cheapest one?

2) what is the different between value ram and gaming ram. seems like value ram is cheaper by a bit only.

i have a really really old pc. and i think i want to upgrade a little bit so it can run win7.

what is the min spec to run win7 actually? my old pc spec

hdd 30gb (no joke!)
1gb ram

other stuff i still havent check. can i just simply install win7 or need to upgrade some new components in it? plus no need high graphic

Internal hard drive casing

1st of all, my laptop's gone faulty. i took out the hard drive and sold other components away. the thing is, i wanna use my internal hd again as i'd save so many important documents inside.

but i got problems finding the casing and i dont know where to find it. can anyone suggest me which casing suits my internal wd scorpio blue 2.5' 250gb?

and please if someone selling it can u please give me the link?
