Russian TANKer heading to Malaysia

The Linda, a crude oil tanker identified in a U.S. Treasury document detailing sanctions against Russia, was in the Indian Ocean and was expected to arrive at Sungai Linggi port on Malaysia's west coast on Sunday, according to data from ship tracking website MarineTraffic.com.

It was not immediately clear whether authorities in Malaysia plan to allow the ship to anchor. Its marine department and foreign ministry did not respond to requests for comment.

U.S. advocacy group United Against a Nuclear Iran (UANI), which monitors Iran-related tanker traffic through ship and satellite tracking, said Linda was transporting Iranian oil transferred from another ship at sea on Jan. 30.

The vessel had loaded crude oil from an Iranian port 10 days prior to conducting the transfer to Linda, UANI's chief of staff Claire Jungman told Reuters, citing satellite data.

Reuters was unable to independently verify the information.

The destination of the oil was not known but it could be transferred to another ship off Malaysian or Singapore waters, Jungman said.

According to the United States, Linda is owned by PSB Leasing, a unit of Russian lender Promsvyazbank, which has also been hit by international sanctions.

In a statement sent to Reuters, Promsvyazbank said PSB Leasing did not own Linda, adding that the vessel was redeemed by its owner in April 2021. The bank did say who the owner was.

French authorities on Saturday seized another ship, Baltic Leader, that they said was owned by PSB Leasing.

Promsvyazbank has similarly denied that its subsidiary owned the vessel.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) is lodging a police report against Monspace Sky Airlines for misleading the public and is investigating Suasa Airlines Sdn Bhd for operating a flight without a valid air service permit (ASP).

Matters relating to the issuance, suspension and revocation of an air service licence (ASL) and ASP come within the scope of responsibility of Mavcom, which was established on March 1 to regulate economic and commercial matters relating to civil aviation.

Mavcom said in a statement that based on evidence gathered to date, it had found Monspace Sky Airlines, which does not hold an ASL or ASP, had marketed itself as an airline.

As per Section 36 of the Malaysian Aviation Commission Act 2015 (Act 771), “no person shall undertake to carry by air or use any aircraft for the carriage of passengers, mail or cargo for hire or reward on a non-scheduled journey between two or more places of which at least one place is in Malaysia except under and in accordance with an air service permit granted by the Commission”, it noted.

According to the Monspace Sky Airlines portal, it is operated by Suasa Air Sdn Bhd. An entertainment news portal reported that Monspace Sky Airlines was launched earlier this month and would operate flights to Langkawi.

As for Suasa Airlines, Mavcom said it did not possess a valid ASP as of today and therefore could not perform a commercial air service operation. In order for an entity to operate a commercial airline business, it is required to hold an ASP and an air operator certificate.

Suasa Airlines filed an application with Mavcom to operate a commercial flight from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi on July 22, 2016, which Mavcom rejected. However, on the same day, Suasa Airlines continued to operate this flight as a “demonstration flight”, according to Mavcom.

Mavcom said it would like to stress the importance of complying with industry laws and regulations, which is a fundamental requirement for participation in the industry.

It also advised consumers to refrain from making any flight arrangements with Suasa Airlines and Monspace Sky Airlines to ensure that they do not face any inconvenience in their travels.

Advise on Study Room Design

I plan to renovate only my study room to include long desks for 2 ppl, bookshelves and side tables and stuff.
I prefer for the desks and bookshelves to be built in that's why cannot just buy from furniture shops.
However, I feel that this is such a small project that most Interior Designers are not interested at all.

Anyone know if there are any contractors or interior designers that do small scale projects such as this?

Mistake in E-Filing (LHDN)

I just submitted my E-Filing for my Income Tax and after I click Submit I realize that my BE form have the wrong nombor majikan.
I changed jobs liao and didn't update my nombor majikan to my new employer.
Now, I cannot redo the BE form anymore.
Anyone know how to fix this issue or how to update the BE form?

Did I just receive a Bounced Cheque?

How do you know if the cheque you deposited is a bounced cheque?
I deposited a cheque on a Friday and the amount showed up as 2 day float on Tuesday, then when I check on Wednesday the amount is gone altogether. Does this means that the cheque is bounced?
Sorry ya, not a regular cheque depositor, this is first time encountering such issues.

Problem description: Slow Web Browsing but Download Speed Fine.

Guys, I am experiencing a very weird problem with my Internet.
When I connect to the internet with my D-Link DWA-547 wireless adapter on my desktop, I have good wireless signal but it is very very very slow to browse the internet. Usually pages like google will timeout before loading. However, download speed using torrent and usenet is at full speed.

When I connect to the internet with another wireless adapter on my desktop, this time is Linksys WUSB600N usb adapter, I get poor wireless signal but the browsing speed and download speed is similar.

Anyone know what might be causing this issue? I am already using OpenDNS.
