Resolution of LCD Monitor not same with Graphic

Currently using a Samsung Syncmaster 2043SWX+ and MSI G31TM-P31.
Just format my PC. Resolution for the LCD screen is ok and is set to 1600x900, and also pc integrated graphic setting is 1600x900.
After few day the LCD screen resolution change by itself to 1440x900 but my pc setting still 1600x900. I don't know what happened.
I tried to install the graphic driver again, and for the 1st time it fix the problem. I tried to restart again and the problem coming back
I tried again and again to install the graphic driver, the problem won't go away.

For the information, all the driver for my pc is install correctly. I tried install the latest graphic driver and also that one come with the driver cd, but no hope.
I try to go to the menu of my lcd. I cannot change the resolution. All is auto. i jsut can see the information for my lcd is set to 1440x900

Any expert know what happened?

Currently I got a friend subscribed to Streamyx Corporate with 5 fixed IP. He has 5 PC in his office. TM just setup 1 fixed IP at modem only. How about the other 4 fixed IP? Can it used for others PC. Any suggestion? Is it possible to setup all the PC to use that 5 fixed IP given by TM? If yes, how is the configuration?

Change CMOS battery (with cable for laptop)

I'm having problem changing the CMOS battery (CR2032) for laptop which come with red and black cable? I try to disconnect the battery from the cable and tape it back using tape (normal or for book binding one). After few week, the time running again because the cable become loose and cannot touch the CMOS battery. I try to solder to battery but the solder cannot attach the battery.

Anyone know is that got another method can connect the cable well with the battery? Or can i know where to buy the cmos battery with cable one?

How to remove Stripped Laptop Screw

Have u guys face the problem of remove the stripped screw while repairing laptop? Any good tools to remove it? As I know screw extractor is too big to remove this screw (most of it is for >3mm screw).

If you know pls let me know......already try to find this tools for long time.

I need to setup a network for 25 PCs in a school. What kind of switch (unmanaged/web/smart) do I need and is it I need to change one of the PC to server (If yes, which OS should I install?) or just use a router (Which router is ok?). Budget is around RM2K to 3.5K include wiring and all hardware....

Western Digital HDD Error 0226

Currently I got a lot of warranty for Western digital HDD which produced on different date. All the Western Digital HDD show error 0226: Unable to reallocate sector if I diagnostic with WD HDD diagnostic tool. Anyone face the similiar problem? Is that Western Digital HDD so bad now...My warranty return rate is almost 20%. I wonder, is that this problem cause by the courier company. You know how they handle the parcel for delivery....

Which USB Modem for Celcom Give the best signal?

Last week apply celcom broadband for my friend and using Vodafone K3520 USB modem. My friend said it problem with the modem so i change one modem (Huawei E169G) for him still hard to connect....even after connected the speed just 100kbps ++ only (Modem LED blue light) and sometimes not running at all. I try at Seremban city center, Taman Templer, Taman Makmur (this tmn just beside bkt galena) and very easy to connect (the LED light is green one).

So I think celcom signal is quite weak at Bkt Galena here. Is that any better modem which can make it more easy to connect and received better signal?

Celcom Broadbad at Seremban

Anyone here stay at Seremban. Currently I just applied new celcom broadband D68 for my friend. It's very hard to connect (need try 5 to 10 min). Even after connected, the speed very slow, about 100kbps only and sometimes even no response. He is using the vodafone K3520 USB modem which bought directly from celcom and with celcom brand printed on the adapter.

I remember few months ago I use Huawei E220 USB modem to connect at seremban, the speed is around 300-400kbps and everytime I plug the usb modem, it can get connected within 15 sec.

I jsut call to celcom careline and they say no service problem at seremban area.

Anyone face the similiar problem at seremban or this vodafone K3520 USB modem is not really good for this celcom broadband?

My cheques rejected 2 time in a day and get me fine RM100 for each cheque. I'm using Maybank Account. They no call me, I just notice it after the person i issued cheque call me.

I'm so surprise what kind of service they give. Fine me RM100 and tell me nothing. Nop...it's not RM100 it's RM200 for my 2 cheque. If write 3 cheques and all rejected and the same day then my account will be closed without my notice. They so stupid!!

Disable Found New Hardware Wizard for USB Mouse/KB

Anyone know how to disable "Found New Hardware Wizard" when you 1st time install USB Mouse & keyboard? I need to do this because customer cannot control their pc if they use both USB mouse & USB keyboard. It's annoying if want to install USB mouse & keyboard for all USB port for a PC (everytime change to another USB port, I need to install again, to do this must have PS/2 mouse or keyboard). I google around but cannot find any solution.

Router with auto reboot function?

Anyone know which Wifi Router come with auto reboot function or WiFI router which can key in auto reboot script? What I mean auto reboot here is scheduled reboot by the router itself and of course it's better if it can auto reboot by itself if there is problem with the connection.

As i know router which flash with dd-wrt can do this function but flash with DD-WRT void the router warranty.

Anyone know which router can do the auto reboot function?

Problem Open Chinese Star 2006 in Win XP Pro SP3

I install a fresh copy of Win XP Pro SP3 (English)on my pc and Win XP Pro SP3 (Chinese Simplified) on another fren pc.
After I installed Chinese Star 2006 on both PC , I got error when try to open chinese star:

Erro Signature
AppName: cstar.exe Appver: 1.0.0.1 Modname: cskernel.dll
Modver: 1.0.0.1 offset: 00005f2f

Anyone know how to solve this error? I try searching for Chinese Star 2006 update...but cannot find any. For your info, I try this Chinese star 2006 on tonnes of PC which running Win XP Pro SP2, no problem at all. This error just happen to Win XP Pro SP3.

I try with another pc of Windows XP Pro Sp3. Same error occured. So finally I still stay back to Win XP Pro SP2. Anyone if got any update or solution pls let me know.

Problem with VGA splitter

I want to split out the integrated graphic card to LCD monitor and LCD projector. But the problem is when both connect together, the projector can see the screen but the LCD monitor cannot (just like no signal go there, monitor at standby mode). I tried with 2 LCD monitor and also 2 CRT monitor but no problem to split out the signal. Anyone know what is the problem. I use the HD15 VGA (Male) to 2 to Female to split it out. ALl connection is using the normal VGA connection (the blue color socket). Is that anything wrong with the splitter? What splitter should I get?

Cannot access CCTV using DDNS

I setup a wifi network for a company. The problem is the CCTV system (set by another guy) cannot be view by using DDNS. The static IP address for the CCTV is 192.168.0.88 with port 80. I set port forwarding for this IP and with the same port, but still cannot access by using web address created from DDNS website. I try ping the web address and the connection is fine. I try DMZ but still failure. I can connect to the CCTV throught LAN only. Anyone have the similiar problem? Is that the problem with the router or modem? Some expert out there, pls help me.

For your infomation:

Modem: TmNet Riger Modem
Wifi Router: D-link DIR-300 router
CCTV system: AVTECH 4CH MPEG 4 DVR

I keep trying the setting, change port for port forwarding and enable DMZ change IP address. sigh....I still cannot set it to access from outside. Currently i change back to port 80, I try scan with port scanner from website and the port is open. The DDNS from the DVR also no problem, can successfully update the WAN IP to DNS website.

What I'm setting wrong.....???? I set for more than 10 hours already.......... Is that the problem with the riger modem or the DIR-300? Any real expert here can help me?

[addedon]May 28, 2008, 1:23 pm[/addedon]I figured out the problem already. It the problem with the Dlink DIR-300 router. Useless router. I change to SMC adsl modem wifi router and the problem fix.

If anyone want to see CCTV online, pls do not use Dlink router. Better use SMC, Belkin or the best one is Linksys.

HP Color Laserjet 2605 Problem

My HP Color Laserjet 2605 got problem. Image print out not sharp at the lower part. I try to open the back and touch (gonyang) the laser unit just located behind the printer. Oh my god..... the print out got so many shadows. Each words got it 3 shadow in black, yellow, blue & magenta. I think the allignment of the laser unit run already. I try to move the laser unit but still cannot adjust the image to it original position.

Any expert here can help me.....Frustrated already....

How to check Front panel USB connect correctly?

Doing computer servicing for few months already. I already burn 2 usb thumb driver. I don't know where customer service b4. Come to my shop and ask me to format. Their front panel USB already connect wrongly and burn my thumb drive.

Actually got any device or just simple made LED indicator that can identify the connection b4 i insert my thumb driver? Another question is that Data + & Data - connect at the terbalik direction can burn the thumb drive (I already test this 2 pin, no voltage wo)? Is that just the VCC +5V the only cause burn the thumb driver if connect wrongly?
