So where you guys get your working shirts?

I used to buy a lot G2000. But lately I notice their price went up. At least RM170 per piece. Plus their shirt material is just so-so and their sleeve length some longer than usual some shorter. But I still buy from there because I earned up to level 3 points.

These days I buy Marks & Spencer or TM Lewin (1 Utama). TM Lewin sometimes they have sales like RM200 per piece if you buy 3. TM Lewin shirts better quality and their measurement fits me more.

So what about you guys? Or you guys wear t-shirt and jeans / uniform to work?

Initial setup of DLink DNS323

Hi guys I just got this DLink DNS 323 network attached storage. I plan to open up my external hard disk and put the HDD into the NAS.

But when I un-box the NAS I saw a notice card saying that the device will format drives on initial use. Does that mean if I plug in my drive it will automatically wipe out all my data?

If yes I think I may need to get a new HDD.

Football controlled by bookie?

So guys, usually in our workplace or among our friends, we have 1 or 2 people among them who are pro football or football analyst. These people know what's what in football down to the team and each player.

However one thing common I notice among them is that they always say football now is controlled by bookies.

How does that work? Does that mean that the bookie will have to bribe both team? I really can't figure out how it works.

Can football pros explain?? Half buckets also can.

Maxis and their cannot, no and can't do

Hi all,

This morning I woke up and I tried to make a call, I found my phone line was being barred.

When I dialed *100#, I found that my bill is RM291.10.

Then when I go online to check, I found out that my July bill is not there yet.

I then called up Maxis to clarify why my phone line was being barred. As usual they told me I exceeded my credit limit. I then told them that I was still able to make calls last night, and today my usage is up to RM291.10. How come I'm not getting barred earlier? Plus my last month's bill was RM231++ only and that was because I traveled to Singapore.

The CSE told me that they round up everything during the end of the month and everything will be reflected on the bill. I then asked for an itemized billing to be send to my email instead of the through post.

The CSE told me that it cannot be done because they have to generate it and courier it to me and that will take some time; I will only receive the itemized billing next Wednesday. So why put the option on the website stating that you can switch to send your itemized bills to your email and get RM5 waiver?

I then ask them if they are going to continue barring me until I receive the itemized billing and paid for it? The CSE then paused for a while and told me he will open a case for me and will call me back tomorrow to inform me why my line had been barred.

I think I'm going to switch to another telecomms provider. I have put up with Maxis long enough with all their atrocities and unfair practices.

Maxis will continue to bill you this month even if your line has been barred (cannot make any calls) because you exceeded last month's limit. Isn't this unfair? You're continuously charging the customer only for the sole reason because they using postpaid and have to pay the commitment fee. But if Maxis is charging shouldn't they provide equivalent service as well?

Most of the time, when approached with this question, they will only give you an "I understand, sir" answer. Either that, or they suggest you to increase your credit limit. To me that is not solving the issue but preventing the customer from getting the encountering the same issue.

Seriously frustrated with them.

Anybody here professionally employed and

Hi guys,

Want to ask, any of you guys here are professionally employed but at a same time you have your own business as well?

Recently, my friend asked me if I want to start a partnership with him doing car wash business. Story was his uncle loaned some money to a friend doing car wash business. The business wasn't doing too good and the guy couldn't repay much back. His uncle took possession all the hardware (water pumps, buffer tools, shampoos, etc) and asked if his nephew was interested in taking over.

My friend approached me and asked if I'm interested in doing it but open somewhere else. I only have to fork out a bit as he already got the hardware. I told him I'll consider la.

I'm professionally employed and if I recall correctly, my agreement letter states that I cannot be employed else where or something.

But if I take up my friend's offer, I'm only a business partner and the business has no direct competition to my current employer. If HR or company found out about it, can they terminate me?

Come share your opinion.

Acc debited after failed debit card transaction

Guys,

I've posted this on another section but seemed that the mods closed it without any reason given. Probably because I've put mentioned the banks name etc, so I'll try not to do that here.

So anyway, I purchased something from a store few days ago using a debit but the transaction failed twice. There was no receipt whatsoever from the terminal and I saw it because I had to enter my PIN. When I used my credit card, it went through without any problem.

When I went back home to check my account online, I saw that money has been debited from my account TWICE. The transaction shows the merchant's name, date time and amount of the item.

I then lodge a report with the debit card bank over the phone and called up the merchant at the same time. The merchant promised to look into it for me and cancel the transaction if it has really taken place.

The very next day, I dropped by the shop again to ask them about it. They told me there was no settlement on their side. They explained that during the transaction, money has been debited from my account but then it did not reach them so it was considered unsuccessful. They also explained that there is no receipt and as such they won't be able to claim the bank for anything. So I shouldn't worry at all.

When I reached home I called up the merchant's bank and told them about this and they too told me not to worry. How can I not worry since it has been almost 2 days since the incident and money is yet to be refunded to my account.

Anyone has any experience in this?
