Need help on the above components for these 2 notebook that i have lock down on. I'm based in US, so shipping and cost is not a factor.

I'm not a hardcore gamer, more like a casual gamer + work + entertainment (Reason why i went for such high setup is i want something that can last me 3 - 5 years)

1) Is there any differences between 144Hz 5ms and 120Hz 3ms ?
2) The higher the NTSC the better ? Is G-SYNC important or needed ?
3) Should i be getting Intel wireless since is coming with Bluetooth 5.0 instead of Killer wireless with Bluetooth 4.2 ? Intel better or Killer better in term of network connectivity ?
4) Should i wait for 8th Gen I9 processor or i7-8750H is sufficient enough ?

Hi Folks,

after a few phone call to Lenovo center and Lenovo sale representative, i was told that there is 2 unit left for Y580 in one of the reseller shop.

the reseller only have the above Y580 model which fit into my 5k budget.

my question is will my warranty void if i were to switch the HDD to SSD as what the reseller told me on the phone ?

any significant specs different between both model beside the windows and GPU ?

should i choose Y500 over Y580 ?

the model Y580(5935-1111) is local set,right ?

Hi guys,

planning to get this particular notebook model from HP, is roughly around USD 1295++ after fully customize.

i have some question that need opinion from you guys. I choose the best configuration as i want to use this notebook for the next 5 years although i seldom do gaming.

1) is the I7-3630Qm enough juice as a CPU ?

2) should i just choose a cheap configuration of HDD and switch it over to SSD when the storage capacity of SSD start to be mainstream for the 500GB ?

3) what is the different between HDD + cache and HDD hybrid ?

4) will the 2G GDDR5 650 good enough for gaming ?

how come when i add back my itune account with my credit card detail, it will charge me 1 USD dollar fee ?

what i use to do is when i want to purchase app, i will only add back my credit card detail.

after that i will leave it at none.

i was thinking of getting a 21.5 or a 23 inch LCD monitor

the only worry i had now is whether my graphic card as stated on my signature can support full HD up to 1920 x 1080 resolution ?

planning to hock up the monitor with a HDMI cable to my notebook.

do you guys suggest a 21.5 or a 23 ? it will be use fully for watching HD content movie.

Blue screen when play movie..

as the topic had stated,my PC had this problem everytime when i play any kind of movie (avi,mpeg etc etc).

i only had K-lite mega code install on the PC,is there any way to capture the blue seen error because it will auto restart by itself after like 2 sec of blue screen.

problem will disappear after i format my PC but the problem will come back after few month and is very annoying

i suspect is either my harddisk or GC problem.Currently using WD and Nvdia 8600 GT.

any sifu here can help solve my problem because this had bother for quite sometime already.

guys,what is the console to disable when i press 3 for knife,it won't automatic change to knife

but i have to press the mouse button 1 which is the fire button to in order to change to knife.

before that,i could just press 2 then handgun will appear or 3 for knife to appear but now i have to press twice,is there a console to disable that ?

help ?

here my problem....

i have a Aztech adsl modem pair with a Linksys WRT54G router version 2.2

the problem now is my brother which is connecting through the wireless keep on p2ping till the connection jam up..

i know linksys have the QoS setting to limit the bandwith being suck up,i check the QoS setting,there isn't any setting for wireless is only applied for lan

can any sifu here teach me how to limit my brother connection (wireless)?

Linksys WRT54G problem

i was using Aztech Modem [DSL 900E(B)2] with linksys WRT54G router all the while.

yesterday my modem was fried by the lighting strike.

so i went to the shop and purchase a Aztech DSL 600E modem,the modem is connect to the linksys WRT54G router,the problem now is when i start use BT....my connection will disconnect after 3 min.I try with the modem only...no problem at all

another think about my router is everytime i try to change the wireless WEP password,after saving the setting,the router itself will hang,anyone have this kind of problem before ?

and lastly,when i start to use this new modem (connect to the linksys router),i couldn't manual connect to the internet through the router after i disconnect the connection or if i ever face any disconenction.

please help !!!

i try uninstall and reinstall back..but the problem still presist.
