Noob needs advice on violin/fiddle

I have a desire to play the violin. Not professionally but I like the folk style and the sound of the fiddle music.

I'm planning on getting a violin today (budget rm300 and below). I'm a COMPLETE beginner and don't know ANYTHING about violins.

questions:

Can I learn to play myself with the help of the internet? I have played guitar for 10 years (both classical and metal) and the ukulele as well.

Where can I get a violin. What do I ask for and how to choose one?

As the topic says, i have a rm 1500 budget.

Looking for an electric guitar and an amp. Its just for home practice so it doesn't really have to be super hebat or anything.

I want the guitar to be decent though.

Also, I used to play lead guitar mostly with lots of distortion(think zakk wylde) but i have a BOSS Metalzone pedal to help with that.

Please suggest a guitar and amp, and where to get it. It would be very helpful to me!

guys I'm planning a small party for friends. Plenty of drinking. Music is not necessary as we have guitars n stuff.

I was thinking of a hotel room but i don't know if 15-20 ppl can fit comfortable and the noise may disturb others.

Is there any other place to have this kind of party?

Preferable not so expensive like 200-250 for the night.
