Hey Guys and Sifus...

i would like to query something here.. please redirect my post to other section if not belong here..

like this.. im puzzled....

i have 2 iphones... Iphone 5 and Iphone 8.... Iphone 8 mainly i use for texting and working stuff... meanwhile iphone 5 is still running with perfect condition and most of the time, i use it for surfing due to small screen size, easy to navigate except (NO SIM CARD) installed...

what happend today really puzzled me.....

while surfing using my Iphone 5... i received a call!... i was like... how is this possible.. and its coming from Hong Kong number... and at the same time.. my iphone 8 also ringing with same number....???

i pick up the call using my iphone 5.. and at the same time, my iphone 8 shows that the call is being pick up by my Iphone 5... and i just hang up in that instance....

bear in mind..... my iphone 5, i uninstall WhatsApp, ... apple ID still intact, but i dont think that is an issue, cause all these while, my iphone 5 not ringing if anyone call me using Facetime, Whatsapp, or etc through my iphone 8....

how is this possible??/... why all these while my iphone 5 not ringing but this time it did.......

PKR politician shot dead in Miri

MIRI: A PKR leader was shot dead at a traffic light junction in the Kuala Baram district about 20kms north of the city on Tuesday.

Bill Kayong, the political secretary to Miri MP Dr Michael Teoh, was shot at about 9am as he stopped his pick-up truck at the busy junction in front of the E Mart commercial centre in Senadin.

PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil said it received information that its member, Bill Kayong, who contested in the Bekenu seat in the recent state elections, had been shot.

Dr Teoh, who is Miri PKR chairman, was at the scene with Sarawak DAP secretary Alan Ling and SUPP secretary general Datuk Sebastian Ting.

UNIFI and AT&T

Hi guys,

Not sure if I explaining the right thing before I posted it here to make u guys understand.. My situation as below...

Situation : I have an AT&T provided by my company. The problem is, each time I connect my AT&T using my UNIFI through wireless, I experience significantly speed drop. Which is very troublesome for me to even getting an email from my office when using AT&T. Sometimes I even get 0 for upload and 0 for download.

The only strong connection I get is at the very beginning when my connection connected to AT&T which is merely for 10 mins, then after that, it sometimes reach to 0 download and 0 upload.

Then I go to my friend's house which 3 blocks away and use his UNIFI and connected to AT&T, amazingly the connection stays quite good when log in to AT&T. We are both using 5mbps.

What is wrong with my connection??.. Is it something I have to alter inside the router itself?. Is that any port that I need to change inside my router.. Im no a technical guy about all these stuff..

-- I cant complain to TM since my connection is quite stable example, gaming, browsing, downloading, uploading when not log in to AT&T.

Appreciate all the sifus here........ hmm.. Thanks in advance...

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian employees expect their jobs to be more demanding with the increasing influence of digital technologies in the workplace and more bosses preferring to hire multi-skilled workers.

The latest survey by a global recruitment and human resource services firm showed that nine out of 10 Malaysian workers expected their jobs to be more challenging over the next five years.

According to the latest Randstad Workmonitor Report, greater workplace expectations were higher in Malaysia compared with respondents in Singapore (80%), Hong Kong (73%), Australia (73%) and New Zealand (82%).

The survey, based on 405 respondents, also found that 95% of the Malaysian workers were willing to develop their skills to meet the changes.

Randstad Malaysia director Jasmin Kaur said employers have increased the emphasis on education, experience, social and digital skills.

“With organisations becoming leaner, employees are now expected to be not only high performing, but to be able to put on several hats,” she said.

Jasmin said the figures were reflective of Malaysia’s aim to become a high-income nation by 2020.

Malaysian Employers Federation’s (MEF) executive director Shamsuddin Bardan concurred with the report’s findings

“Like it or not, this is the definite trend due to the demands of business,” he said, adding that even older employees had to adapt to the digital trend of being wired and contactable.

Jasmin said the survey also found that most of the respondents believed that their employers placed greater importance on digital skills than they did five years ago.

“With social media being a part of today’s business environment, being comfortable with using tools such as Twitter and LinkedIn could help an employee keep connected and abreast of what is happening in the industry.

“Different companies have different expectations of their workers. Employees who are client-facing may be expected to be on call outside of standard office hours to respond to clients as required,” she said.

Shamsuddin echoed similar views, saying that it was now a necessity for employees to be reachable anytime of the day, whether it was outside work hours on while they were on holiday. However, he said employers recognised that there had to be a work-life balance for their staff, adding: “Being contactable is not the same thing as working 24/7.”

He said employers also knew that happy employees were more productive.

MTUC secretary-general Abdul Halim Mansor said the umbrella organisation for unions was against the culture of employees being at the beck and call of bosses beyond working hours.

He said the Malaysian Employment Act specified rest days which workers were entitled to.

“Notwithstanding the demands of the job, the rights of employees to get adequate rest should be respected,” he said.

Abdul Halim said such a working culture could have negative impacts on families and communities.

Company managers, who spoke to The Star, said the nature of a job and position would determine if an employee had to be on call.

“For those in management, there is no escape,” said the human resources manager of a multinational company in Kuala Lumpur

Another manager, who also declined to be named, said being on call 24 hours a day was already a norm.

“The company provides employees with smartphones so they can be reached anytime,” she said.
The survey, conducted between July 17 and Aug 5, also found that 77% of Malaysians were satisfied with their current employer compared with 56% in Singapore, 47% in Hong Kong and 44% in Japan.

Jasmin said a pleasant working environment, effective leadership and career development training were the reasons why Malaysian employees remained satisfied.

The quantitative study was conducted via an online questionnaire. The respondents were between 18 and 65-years old, working a minimum of 24 hours a week in a paid job.

Randstad issues its survey report four times a year.

Then today when i checked my usage, got shocked.. My usage is 9 hours!.. The hell??

It happened right affer i update to ios 7...

Any sifus can help me here??... What might cause this???

By the way, i disable my background apps yesterday....

Hotmail down on iphone?

Hi guys... need your expertise...

i have 5 mail accoutns on my iphone... one of them is Hotmail... since email is playing a very big role in today's era, i dont know why each time i wanna update my phone mail.... it only update the rest of the accounts.. however for hotmail,,, i received a notification as below...

"Cannot get mail" and this only happen to Hotmail.. ive yet tro try to delete the account cause later wanna sync back will take quite a time... hmm..

anybody experiance this??.. only happen this yesterday around midnite till now...

PETALING JAYA: Toll charges on the Kesas Highway will be reduced from midnight Monday, Works Minister Shaziman Abu Mansor said.

"Mulai tengahmalam ini, kadar tol utk lebuhraya kesas dturunkan. Kereta hanya perlu bayar RM2. Semua kelas kenderaan ada penurunan (From midnight, toll charges on the Kesas Highway will be reduced. Motorists need pay only RM2. There will be a reduction for all classes of vehicles," the minister tweeted Monday.

The current toll charges on the highway ranges from RM1.70 for taxis to RM4.40 for trailer lorries, with motorists paying RM2.20.

North Korea carries out controversial rocket launc

Hong Kong (CNN) -- North Korea has carried out the launch of a long-range rocket, South Korea's Ministry of Defense said Wednesday.

"Shortly after the liftoff, Aegis radar system in the Yellow Sea detected the move," a senior military official was quoted by South Korea's semi-official Yonhap press agency as saying.

The Japanese government also told CNN by phone that it took place at 9.49 a.m. local time and passed over the island of Okinawa, though no action was taken to shoot it down.

The news comes as a surprise after North Korea announced Monday that it was extending the launch window into late December, citing technical issues in an engine. On Tuesday, satellite images purportedly showed the rocket being moved from the launch pad, Yonhap said.

The test has been widely condemned by other countries like the United States and South Korea, which say it is a cover for testing ballistic missile technology. The North insists the launch is aimed at putting a scientific satellite into orbit.

Millions spent to honor Kim Jong Il When it announced its plans on December 1, the reclusive North Korean regime said it intended to carry out the launch between Monday and December 22. But on Saturday, the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said the launch could be delayed.

In a new article Monday, KCNA reported that scientists and technicians had "found technical deficiency in the first-stage control engine module of the rocket," citing a spokesman for the Korean Committee of Space Technology.

Previous launch attempts by the North in 2006 and 2009 also failed to achieve their stated goal of putting a satellite into orbit and provoked international condemnation.

Pyongyang has said the planned rocket launch would be "true to the behests" of Kim Jong Il, the late North Korean leader and father of Kim Jong Un, head of the ruling regime.

Kim Jong Il died on December 17 last year, so the first anniversary of his death falls within the launch window that North Korea has announced.

Experts also speculate that Pyongyang wants this launch to happen before the end of 2012, the year that marks the centenary of the birth of Kim Il Sung, the founder of North Korea and grandfather of Kim Jong Un.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 — Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz denied today that allegations of his son’s link to Sabah timber trader Michael Chia would cost Barisan Nasional (BN) politically like the National Feedlot Centre (NFC) scandal.

“It is different from husband and wife,” the outspoken minister told reporters when approached in Parliament.

Nazri was defending himself against allegations by PKR’s Rafizi Ramli, who had accused him of conflict of interest in his alleged defence of Chia, the businessman who was accused of attempting to smuggle RM40 million to Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman.

Rafizi had asked if Nazri’s alleged “relentless” defence of Chia was because his son, Nedim, had been using the businessman’s half a million ringgit Hummer.
