In a dilemma after signing offer letter

Hello,

Currently I am working in "Company A" in Kulim and been travelling to Kulim from Penang nearly everyday to work. Recently I was offered a job by "Comapny B" in Bayan Lepas. Passed my medical check-up and signed the offer letter and hand over the copies to HR of "Company B".

Today I hand in my resignation letter to "Company A". My boss question me why I wanna leave and how can he make me stay. The main reason I am leaving is because my pay is very low. "Company B" is offering me >40% increament. "Company A" cant counter offer my pay because they doesnt encourage such practice but I was offered a verbal promise of promotion by end of this year (ya i know its still a long time to go and verbal promise means nothing). My current boss is asking me to consider his offer for a week (the actual date of termination service follows my letter of resignation).

So my consideration will be:
"Company A":
+ Flexible time because I am working in a Lab. Free to drink and eat.
+ Break time is flexibe.
+ Better bonus(es) compare to "Company B"
- Distance of travelling (no I dun wanna live in Kulim)
- Have to pay much more petrol and toll.
- Pay is lower by 40%
- No OT for more than passed 6 months and I dun see there will be any OT in the future coming months.

Company B (cant say much cause havent experience working there b4):
+ Much more nearer to my house
+ Higher pay, >40% of my current pay.
- Working in production cleanroom so nearly every movement is tracked.
- No bonus and only profit sharing (according to the offer letter)

Now comes the main question. IF (thats a big IF) I wish to continue working with "Company A", can I be sued by "Company B" ie. civil action taken against me?

I might need opinions from you guys/gals. Should I stay or should I go?

I cant comment much on "Company B" because I have no idea how is the workload and working environtment and how will I be treated there. There's a topic in LYN about "Company B" but nothing much was commented on the company and on the working environment.

Electronics vs Computing and Intelligent Systems

Hi everyone.

I am interested in furthuring my studies at Wawasan Open Uni as part time. I am interested in either Electronics or Computing and Intelligent Systems.

Currently I am slightly more interested in Computing and Intelligent Systems. My question would be, what kind of job prospect will I be looking at when I graduate? Maybe someone who gradute from the programme can give me some ideas about my job prospect in Malaysia preferable in Penang. Looking at the course, looks like I will be doing lots of programming right?

Currently I am working at Failure Analysis department. I am planning to move on to RnD after graduate. Will Computing and Intelligent Systems help me? Or its adviseable to stick to Electronics?

Whats the difference between Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science and Bachelor of Technology?

If my above questions had been answered, please point me to the right direction. Thanks a lot.
