Hi guys,

I got a WD Passport External Harddisk which still under warranty (according to WD Website) and faulty.

However, the box , the receipt all gone

Understand that receipt is not require but i din online register the harddisk when bought it.
Question 1 : As the warranty area need to fill in date of purchase, can i simply fill in ?

Question 2 : I saw some old post mention WD need to send the HDD back to SG, is it true ?

Question 3: When return the item , do i need to include the cable as well ?

Question 4 : Can simply use any box with bubble wrap ?

Question 5 : How long does it take to receive the replacement harddisk after they receive the faulty one ?

Question 6: We only pay for 1 way shipping only ?

365 Validity Prepaid

Dear all,

Tron was close down and now i am finding for alternative prepaid sim which offer longest validity.

Beside OneXOX 28 month validity, any other telco which have 365 validity like Tron ?

I mean not those need to pay for purchase 365 validity.
Example like : Digi RM1 / Day , TuneTalk RM38 for 1 year validity.

I need something like Tron, reload RM10 get 365 validity those kind.
The sim is for old folks which less call out.

Bike no power when accelerate

Hi Guys, wanna ask if any of you facing this issue before.

I am driving SYM Sport Bonus SR 110 to work daily, this morning when i was driving normally, suddenly the bike no power when i was trying to accelerate.
I stop the bike at the road side , the engine still running , not stall. When i try to accelerate, at first it was ok, when come to certain seconds or speed level, the problem come back again. (The Feeling is like the bike having problem on sucking petrol or like got power suddenly no power then got power then no power again that kind while accelerate)

I change the spark plug, but still the same, petrol tank still got 70% petrol.

Anybody can share if they face this before ?

Slow on new Intel Core i5 7500

I just done build a PC where spec are
- Intel Core i5 7500
- Gigabyte B250M-D3H
- 16GB G.Skill DDR4 2400 x 1 pcs
- 80GB SATA II HDD
- Windows 10 Pro Creator Update edition with all latest patch update (Only windows, drivers without any software)

However i feel that when boot up / restart / launch software / shutdown was very slow.
Feel like same speed as my old pc Intel Core2Quad Q6600 2.4GHz , 4GB RAM with the same HDD and same OS windows 10 Pro.

I had loan a brand new 1TB SATA III HDD and install OS, but still feel slow (just few seconds faster then the old harddisk).

Beside that, got 2 friend who just bought below new notebook, they also feel slow when boot up / restart / launch software / shutdown as well

Notebook 1 :
HP Pavilion (forget which model)
Intel Core i5 7200U
4GB DDR4 RAM x 1 Pcs
1TB SATA III HDD
Windows 10 Home SL

Notebook 2 :
Dell Inspiron 5000 series
Intel Core i5 7200U
8GB DDR4 RAM x 1 Pcs
1TB SATA III HDD
Windows 10 Home SL

Is it possible the new 7th Gen Intel CPU need SSD only will be loading faster ?
Any new buyer facing this issue as well ?

my office notebook which is Intel Core i5 6th Gen old processor with 8GB RAM, 1TB normal HDD and Win 10 as well with loaded many software, but the performance is a lot better compare to 7th gen.

Beside that, i got play around with an Asus Zenbook which is Intel core i5 4th gen , 4GB RAM BUT it was with M.2 SSD Harddisk and also Windows 10 as well with other software, the loading is quite fast ...

Parking Rate at Curve NX (Annexe)

Gonna attend Wedding dinner soon at Wisma Bentley Music.

Understand there is a Tesco Extra at opposite, but the parking rate is calculate by hours.
While Wisma Bentley Music itself is flat rate RM9.

Prepaid sim that has longest validity

Hi guys/girls.

Recently i had purchase an old folks phone for my parents.

I need to choose a suitable sim for that phone which must have long validity (365 days or more) as they quite less using that phone except for emergency, standby or for us to call them.

- Internet is not important as that phone has no internet function.
- Any brand of telco as long as got offer long validity & cheap
- SMS is not important as well
- Quite rare reload
- Short call most of the time

Please list down the :
Brand of sim card
Plan
Price of sim card
Price of Long Validity subscription
and T&C for keep long validity valid

* I had check with digi, the new sim that come with is New Best v2 which is no longer offer 365 validity and is impossible to switch back to old plan.

Accident Insurance Claims

Dear all,

I just involve in an accident 2 weeks back ago. That time was 8.40PM i was driving motorbike come to a T-Junction, stop and give signal that i am going to turn to right (I was wearing rain coat with shining silver stripe, as that time got a little bit rain)

Far before i stop i already saw a lorry drive fast on opposite road. And i had stop quite long time and suddenly the lorry was driving very fast without slow down, without giving turning signal and just drive into the lane next to me.

And i feel the lorry is more drive more nearby me (he is eating my lane), so i think something wrong and i jump from my motor. At the end , the lorry hit my motor and cause the motor fall down fast on top of me.

The fellow continue drive (pijak my motor terus) and stopby a side. I been help by customer /staff from a nearby restaurant to road side. The lorry driver come to me and say "I TAK NAMPAK YOU"

Ok, so i go clinic then goto police station for police report. ( I got told the fellow i will go make police report coz i think he not effort to repair my bike)

After 1 week i went to Traffic Police station to get the keputusan report and office told me that fellow never go report. I call him at first he say ok he will go report. But after few day i call again he told me his boss kedekut and refuse to report the accident.

Haiz..... now my seriously spoil bike sit at home and wait for nothing coz keputusan report cannot come out. Ask recommendation from insurance agent, he give me 3 choice

1) Claim my own insurance , NCD confirm habis and i have to pay excess RM75.00 ( NOT FAIR ! WHAT FOR I BUY INSURANCE )
2) Repair and use my own money , anggap me bad luck ( NOT FAIR ! NOT MY FAULT WAT )
3) SUE the pemandu and the lorry owner company ( This took longer time and i have to pay RM50 for the lawyer to send warning letter and my bike cannot send for repair until the case over .... haiz.... that time motor pun dah die coz long time no start)

Wanna ask :
anybody facing this before ? i hear got somebody just go claim his own insurance then the insurance company will claim the lorry's insurance and my NCD wont lost...
is this true ?

This accident really cause me many problem..... now have to loan bike or drive car to work which cause me gonna wake up super early, pay expensive parking and petrol.
beside that i have to follow up with clinic on my injury.... which i pay the medical fee myself......

He just say " My boss tak mau report" then itu saja.... what kind of people is this..really non responsible human. Really no fair ... i gonna do something

Convert D-Link DSL-2640b to Wifi Access Point

Hi Guys,

I not sure this topic been discuss before or not in here, but wanna ask regarding this.

As all Unifi User know, this D-Link DIR-615 Wifi Router is really s*** on it's wifi coverage.

I understand there is a custom firmware that can boost up the wifi signal, but i dun want to take risk as my unifi equipment is still under warranty.

I have a D-Link DSL-2640b modem wifi router which previously use in Streamyx. I was thinking is it possible to
convert it become like a normal Wifi Access Point ?

D-Link DIR-615 Bug ?

Dear All,

I am a unifi user and i have a wired situation here which i not sure is it a hardware faulty or a bug.

The problem occurs on the Unifi's D-Link DIR-615 Wifi Router.

Sometimes when i try to login to the D-Link DIR-615 console, it was not able to display the console login page at all.
Then i turn off the D-Link DIR-615, wait for around 30 seconds, then on back again, now i can login to console page without any problem. BUT, after a long period let say 5 to 6 hours later, the problem come back again. I have to do the same thing again so that i can login to console.

Please take note :
1) During the problem occurs, i was able to use internet as usual, nothing wrong on the internet / happytv or the phone.

2) I tried IE / Firefox / Opera and Chrome , same problem

3) Ping the wifi router IP is got respond

4) My wifi router default ip is 192.168.0.1 , i din do any changes so far.

5) All the lights on the wifi router is normal , no orange color

Firmware version 7.09 , the item is from Unifi during installation.

Anybody facing same problem as me ?

By the way, what is the latest firmware for this D-Link DIR-615 ? ( i mean the firmware for OEM Unifi's DIR-615)

Hi Guys,

I got a D-Link 2640B Hardware : T1 Firmware version 0719 (Latest firmware 2010 Jun from d-link malaysia website)

problem is, i got 2 machine connecting to this modem and use it as usual. Then suddenly the LAN icon on both computer will show Limited Connection Only , and we not able to online at all.

We try to pull out the phone line or LAN cable and put back, it not working. We have to turn off the modem and on again only it works. Then not long after that, come back same issue again.

Firmware already update. Problem still the same even we reset the modem. Got send email to D-Link before, they ask us to re-flash the firmware again, and we did and problem is still remain.

Then they ask us to bring the modem to D-Link Service Center at lowyat to 1 to 1 exchange.

Before i do that, just wanna ask , is any of you facing same problem ? is the problem you face solved ?

Well is quite wired on my modem, since January 2008, my modem was facing problem. I online until certain period the modem ADSL Light will turn OFF (For long period) , Status Light will be either Off or On (Suppostly is blinking normally)

Once this thing happend, my internet connection will lost, then i try ping my modem IP, Request Time Out....
Restart modem , wait for a while , then ping my modem ip again, also request time out... then reboot a few time, my status light come back blink i ping my modem again..this time got respond, but sometimes the ping time will become <=1xxxms or <=2xxxms (suppostly is time <=1ms)

Then this is what i done :
1) Change Phone Cable
2) Change RJ-45 Cable on modem and PC
3) Plug in phone line directly to line without pass throught any spliter or phone
4) Off and On Modem
5) Re-set modem and reconfigure

But the problem still the same, and mostly happend during 7pm till 10pm....
Now the problem is i not sure is it my modem got problem ? or the tmnut line got problem.....
Modem is already out of warantty. Does any of you facing this problem ?

Note : I still can online, just only when this problem occurs i will not able to online, and need to off and on many times on the modem only can online back, but not long problem comes back again....

Symantec Ghost 2003 Restore Problem

Hi guys, i currently facing some problem on symantec ghost 2003.

I have create image using ghost 2003 to clone a drive with Windows XP Pro operating system to another hard drive. Once i done clone, i got try restore back to the system see does it works or not.

However after restore successfully, and i reboot my notebook.
When it come to Windows Boot up section, a cursor was blinking on the top left side and wait for so long also no respond.

Do any of you facing this problem ?

The machines i facing problem is listed below :
- IBM R51
- Compaq Evo N1000v
- Compaq Nx5000

I tried on many of the same model notebook, but seems like this few model are facing same problem. Others such as Dell Inspiron 2650, Compaq Evo 1020v, Compaq nx6120 & Compaq nx6320 all work well.....

Note : I using Ghost 2003 with latest build

Hi guys, help help me, OMG is quite head act to choose a phone here, since function and look are different with each others.

I was currently a SE K700c user, i like my phone much, but , nowdays problem keep on comes out, such as Joystick problem, key pad jam problem and lag problem.... so i wanna sale it out since it still got value and get a new SE phone.

Above is the phone in my mind , just.... i donno which one more function, more good and stable.

- Note : all this phone is no JOYSTICK ( hehe i can get rid of joystick Problem)

My minimum requirement is
- No Joystick
- Got Memory card support
- Can Capture picture
- Can play music & Radio
- 3G / EDGE is not important ( coz i not using it at all)
- Smooth Dun lag when in searching phone no or in menu.

Oh ya, can phone user for above model tell me the good and bad thing on the phone listed above? so i can do some comparison see which one more suit for me.
( I understand that not all phone are perfect )
