MSI GE72 2QL Apache

I just bought an MSI notebook last week.

The model is GE72 2QL Apache.

I have to say that I am a totally new user of MSI. My previous 2 laptops were Compaq and Asus.
I bought this simply becuz of the wider screen (17 inch) and dual-fan features. Besides, it uses 5th generation i7 processor and most importantly, the price does not exceed RM4000 which is my budget for a new laptop.

However, counting myself unlucky, within a few days, I have experienced several problems with my new laptop:

1. Laggy. The notebook comes with only 4GB DDR3 RAM, where most of the time I found the system running at roughly 80% to 90% when I was playing Dota 2. I can't say this is the only cause/ reason that contribute the lag but I guess it definitely has something to do with the RAM. Lag also happened when I tried to close my Dota2-Reborn.

2. Hanged once. There was a time when I was playing my Dota 2 (well... if not for games, why would one buy G series?), I forgot to switch on the dual-fan mode, it hanged around 15 ~ 20 mins after I opened my Dota 2. The 1st thing that came across my mind was like "Are you kidding me, MSI?! This is not even 1 week old."

3. The volume of the sound system is set too low by default. Again, when I was watching TI5 replay on Dota 2, the sound was not loud enough to hear, therefore I increased it to 100 (max). But still, it was still not clear enough and I was forced to use Nahimic (a built-in software to complement the sound system) to boost the volume. The issue, fortunately, was solved after that. However, I am not sure whether it will cause any damage to the speakers in the long run.

The reason I am writing this post is not to complain but to share my experience with this new model. Of course, more importantly, to discuss/ seek help from other MSI GE72 2QL users.
Until today, I am still trying to find a review on this model online. What I got from google was mostly the links to the online stores that sell this model instead of the reviews.

Now, I am planning to add on more RAM to see whether it can solve my lagging problem. And frankly speaking, I am still worried that my notebook will hang when I am playing Dota2 and have to restart it.

Just wondering if anyone using the same model or any other MSI notebooks also experienced those problems? and what did you do to solve the problems?
Of course, laptop experts who are not using MSI are more than welcome to leave a comment as well.

Thanks in advance for those that take their time to read and comment on this.

Calculation of monthly installment under DIBS

I know that the total loan repayment under Developer Interest Bearing Scheme (DIBS) is actually higher than that without DIBS.

But, why is it so?

Take an example that the house price is RM 500,000 , thus the loan borrowed is RM 450,000 (90%). For simplicity, the interest rate is 6% (flat rate) annually and loan tenure is 35 years. The loan is taken in Jan 2014 (first installment also in the same month) and fully repaid in Dec 2048.

By using the formula,

Monthly Installment: (450,000 x 0.06/12 ) / [1-1/(1 + 0.06/12)^(12x35)] = RM 2565.86 (rounded to 2 dp)

TOTAL loan repayment: 2565.86 x 12 x 35 = RM 1,077,661.20

So, how would the figure change if it were under DIBS (say, the borrower only start repaying the loan 4 years later, i.e. Jan 2018) ?

It would be better if you can explain in detail about the:
(1) formula/ calculation
(2) monthly installment
(3) TOTAL loan repayment
(4) the year where the loan is fully repaid
(5) any other important points

Thank you very much.
I placed an order in this morning and this was my very 1st time buying laptop online.

I accidentally clicked "Process Order" before I changed my method of payment. I was shocked when I found out and trying to contact HP to change it.

I tried to call them at 1800-88-6998 but the operator kept saying "all our representatives are engaged........". I have tried many times and what I got was the same reply.

Can anyone help me? What should I do now?
Anyone who knows this please reply and tell me.

Thank you.

How is the cooling system? ( i think many hp buyers face this problem as well )
2. Does 2GB graphic card REALLY REALLY make a difference, compared to 1 GB one?
3. Any other comment on its performance? (for those who have tried this model)
4. What about the headphone which comes free with the laptop? (HP Promo Beats Solo Black Headset)
5. Last but not least, HP Pavilion dv6-6114tx versus N53SV-SX557V, which one is better?
( I ask this cuz asus is better than HP, in terms of the cooling system and quality (somehow). Plus, the graphic card is GT540 2GB and this HP
model is just released ( the real performance is still unclear) )

Please help me and give ur professional advice on my questions.
