Anonymous Denies Involvement in Anti-Elon Musk Video

Politically-geared hacker group Anonymous has denied they had a hand in creating a video condemning Elon Musk’s involvement in influencing the crypto market.

The video, in which the person claimed to be from the hacker group, had a lot to say about Musk, including condemning SpaceX and Tesla. Anonymous is placing the blame for creating the video in the hands of a breakaway organization and copycat group.

The clip began with the speaker stating, “This is a message from Anonymous, for Elon Musk.” and concluded with “We are Anonymous! We are legion. Expect us.” In between, the Anonymous shout-outs, the speaker directed a lot of hate toward Musk, due to his tweets and opinions affecting the cryptocurrency market and even people’s lives.

“Reading the comments on your Twitter posts, it seems that the games you have played with the crypto markets have destroyed lives.” says the darkened figure. They go on to say that:

“Millions of retail investors were really counting on their crypto gains to improve their lives. This is something that you will never understand, because you were born into the stolen wealth of a South African apartheid emerald mine and have no clue what struggle is like for most of the working people in the world.”

On June 5, former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich called out Musk about his social media activities. Reich took to Twitter to share his opinion about Musk’s Twitter activities, saying they “aren’t funny.”

“His tweets are having a serious impact on markets. It’s just another example of how billionaires get away manipulating markets without accountability,” he said.

He alluded to Musk’s series of social media updates, in which he advocates certain cryptocurrencies. Most notably the meme-inspired joke altcoin dogecoin (DOGE), which has seen unprecedented growth this year as a result.

Corona virus seems expanding at a moderate speed ... maybe faster. As the Logic dictates, some K/tards may need help to know what to buy for the just in case of lockdown.

1. FOOD
- How much you guess ? First how much your family eat ? a bit ? a lot ? Kids still growing and need more nutrient for development and give body immune system? Stock up food to hold at least 3 months or to be safe 6 months also food contains good essential vitamins. Cause you will never know when the Plague season ends.
- Calculate 3x meals a day plus a bit of snacking.
- Don't forget your pets do need to eat too.. Maybe a bit of pet food that could last for half a year.
- Get tin stuff with long expire date. It's better to be safe at all times.
- Get fresh fruits for early stage and some can fruits for later after finishing the fresh fruits.

2. WATER
- Maybe not so important but just in case.
- Drinking water & Mineral water. We got tap water still but who know water shortage since the water works person is sick.
- Maybe 5 ~ 10 cartons of 1.5 liters. Still i don't think this is enough for family for a few month. You will have to determined it.

3. MEDICAL KIT / Medicine
- Essential to get medicine that might help out a bit against common sickness.
- Panadol, Cough syrup, antibiotics, stomach ache pill, pain killers, band aid, alcohol wipe, Dettol antiseptic solution, bandages. Maybe some air spray can for air disinfectant.

3. HYGIENE PRODUCTS
- Liquid soap, tooth paste, razor blade, mouth wash, antiseptic powder .
- Detergent, floor disinfected, Clorox bleach, insect spray (Ridsect).
- Toilet paper, tissue paper,

4. READY EMERGENCY KIT
- Essential in case blackout.
- Torchlight, self-charging powerbank(Solar power powerbank), candles, match, mosquito coil, some camping fuel tablet (for cooking in case no gas or tong gas finish).
- Small fan either run by recharging battery or powerbank.

I guess that's all i can come up with. Do add if you all have anymore to add.

Monitor to get for gaming

My monitor is dell 23" inch which is about 10 years ago and now starting to show some white faded lines when game fade to black or im in dark areas and some times i play Shadow of Tomb rider got some jerking a bit and screen tear, not smooth. Imma PC is Razen 2600, Ram: 16gb using GTX1060 6Gb. Will upgrade to RTX2070 next time.

So now,I want to buy a 144hz gaming monitor first. Budget prefer 1k below. Max RM1.5k below.

Wonder is G-sync better or Freesync is better ? the pros and cons. Is curve screen better or flat screen. Planning to get probably 24" or 32".

KUCHING: Twenty-two per cent of the total 211 new pupils enrolling in Kuching Chung Hua Primary School (CHPS) No 4 here are non-Chinese.

Moreover, this 22-per-cent group also has those hailing from outside Sarawak – namely Sabah, Laos and Australia.

It is disclosed that for the 2020 school term, the population of CHPS No 4 will represent 19 different races or ethnic groups.

Even before this, the school had recorded quite a number of Bumiputera and Indian pupils.

“Because of this, the SJKC (aided Chinese primary school) has been dubbed as a ‘mini United Nations’,” said headmaster Pui Jin Tung, who received a visit from members of CHPS No 4 Board of Management at the school along Jalan Nanas here recently.

During the meet, the headmaster and some board members had several brief exchanges with the parents.

Speaking to reporters later, Pui said the school would host a dialogue with the parents of all newly-enrolled pupils at the school this Jan 7.

He regarded the session as ‘an orientation for the newcomers’.

“We are seeing 211 new pupils next year, 22 per cent of whom are non-Chinese. These new pupils are divided into six classes, each of which will house 35 to 36 pupils.”

Pui also viewed CHPS No 4 as ‘reflecting the multi-racial harmony in Sarawak’.

“CHPS No 4 emphasises on providing an environment (that is) not just conducive to learning, but one that also enables children to mingle well; instilling that sense of racial harmony and social unity in the young generation.”

He said the school had not turned down any application, given the maximum 40-pupil capacity for each class.

“Each of our Primary 1 classes next year will have about 35 pupils,” he said, adding that the school should be able to take in more pupils.

HONG KONG: A huge wrong-way bet on Bitcoin has left an unidentified futures trader unable to cover their losses, putting counterparties at risk and threatening to dent confidence in one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency venues.

The more than US$400mil long position in Bitcoin futures was amassed on OKEx, a Hong Kong-based exchange that’s ranked No. 4 on Coinmarketcap.com’s list of the biggest crypto platforms, according to a person familiar with the matter, who asked not to be named because he isn’t authorized to speak about the issue with the media.

While OKEx has moved to liquidate the position, it has so far been unable to cover the trader’s shortfall amid a down market for Bitcoin this week, the person said.

If the shortfall still exists at the 4 pm settlement time in Hong Kong on Friday and exceeds the size of the exchange’s insurance fund, futures traders who have unrealized profits on OKEx may be forced to absorb the losses, in line with a “clawback” policy detailed on OKEx’s website, the person said. OKEx doesn’t expect the issue to affect the exchange’s ability to function, he said.

“Everyone is talking about it,” said Jake Smith, a Tokyo-based adviser to Bitcoin.com, in reference to the OKEx trade. Smith said the systemic risks were likely contained, but that the episode could have some ripple effects on the market. “The main question is how will OKEx handle this,” he said.

Lennix Lai, a director at OKEx, said via email that the exchange may issue a statement on Friday. Lai didn’t answer an emailed list of questions from Bloomberg News.

In a statement on its website last month, OKEx outlined planned changes to its margin rules and liquidation procedures that it said would “vastly minimize the size of bankruptcy positions” and make clawbacks less frequent. The exchange, which allows clients to leverage their positions by as much as 20 times, said it would start rolling out the changes in September. Before clients can begin trading futures, they’re required to pass a quiz on OKEx’s rules.

Clawbacks are unique to crypto markets and expose the exchanges who use them to reputational risks when clients are forced to absorb losses, said Tiantian Kullander, a former Morgan Stanley trader who co-founded crypto trading firm Amber AI Group. “It’s a weird mechanism,” Kullander said.

Bitcoin, the biggest cryptocurrency by market value, dropped 3.2% to US$7,309 at 3:20 pm Hong Kong time on Friday, extending its decline this week to 11%. It has slumped 49% this year. - Bloomberg

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has sparked an uproar in Asia’s biggest Catholic nation after he called God “stupid,” prompting a rebuke from church officials who have been instrumental in toppling past leaders.
In an expletive-laden speech last Friday before government officials, Duterte expressed disbelief in the Catholic story of creation and described the teaching that humans have already sinned at birth as a “very stupid proposition.”
“Who is this stupid God? He’s really stupid. You created something perfect, and then you think of an event that would tempt and destroy the quality of your work,” Duterte said.
The comment risks undermining Duterte’s popularity in a country where Catholics make up 80 percent of the population and 10 percent belong to other Christian denominations. So far his support has stayed strong despite regular vulgar insults against women, gays and other groups. It’s not the first time he’s criticized the church — when he was a presidential candidate, Duterte cursed the Pope for supposedly causing traffic jams during his 2015 visit to the Philippines.

I want to get a 2nd hand car just for kicks Myvi brand but they only sell AT car.
What information i get is that AT car can reach up to gear 4 only.. any more power is just rev and burning fuel.
Also maintaining Automatic Transmission require a lot of cash and if break.. you need to pay a bomb to get new gear for it.

Pro
Manual = Easy maintain, Speed to 5 and save fuel.
Auto = Drive no change clutch.

Con
Manual = Shift gear only. Left leg need to work.
Auto = Gear 4 max and burns fuel if you reach max speed above gear 4.

Any input from K/cartards/

Suggest me if Auto better or Manual.

A test of SpotMini's ability to adjust to disturbances as it opens and walks through a door. A person (not shown) drives the robot up to the door, points the hand at the door handle, then gives the 'GO' command, both at the beginning of the video and again at 42 seconds. The robot proceeds autonomously from these points on, without help from a person. A camera in the hand finds the door handle, cameras on the body determine if the door is open or closed and navigate through the doorway. Software provides locomotion, balance and adjusts behavior when progress gets off track. The ability to tolerate and respond automatically to disturbances like these improves successful operation of the robot. (Note: This testing does not irritate or harm the robot.)

I will be going down to KL this March and might stay at Sg.Wang area for memory lane trip. Seeing how far i did go as i was poor as fuck in KL long time ago with no saving and the highest exotic meal i can afford is Teppanyaki Beef with Gyoza. Usually i eat at Sungai Wang mall.

So i wonder if K/tard can tell me if that Teppanyaki in Sg.Wang still exist ?

Also for extra info where is the best Sushi Shop equivalent to Sushi shop in Japan at KL along that area.

Since i own a PSVR, it looks good when gaming but still need more crispy visual and when looking at you tube VR.. seems so broken and pixelated. Quite good still not good enough. I do like that Ghost in shell Trailer for VR.

So i saw this 8k Pimax... I wonder how much PC power does it use. Any K/Comtard can suggest parts to make a PC for 8k VR in the future. I may have to fork out estimate 6k~7k for VR next year.

Rocktober in Miri Sarawak

MIRI: Rock music enthusiasts from here and abroad were really entertained after two nights of high-octane performances during Rocktober Fest Borneo 2017 (RTBF17) – Borneo’s biggest beachside rock festival – at Parkcity Everly Hotel here recently.

The inaugural two-day festival, organised by NorthEastern Group and fully supported by Miri City Council and Sarawak Tourism Board, saw crowds of over 5,000 thronging the hotel’s field to catch the showcase of 37 international and local rock bands.

Among the headliners were Hujan and Estranged, whose lead singers hail from Miri and Kota Kinabalu, respectively.

Other RTBF17 performers included top national rock acts XPDC, Oh Chentaku, OAG, Bunkface, Kyoto Protocol, Monoloque, Pesawat, Sevencollar T-shirt, and Me Gusta, Polar.

These national acts shared the stage with Borneo bands such as Nicestupidplayground and Iban rock band Masterpiece, alongside bands from Brunei, Singapore, as well as Filipino band Slapshock.

The highlight for many festival-goers was the highly-anticipated performance of Hujan, whose singer Noh Salleh is a Miri native.

Hujan was the closing band for RTBF17, and performed late into the night on the second day with crowds singing along to tunes such as ‘Miri’ and ‘Bila Aku Sudah Tiada’.

Apart from spectacular stage performances, the festival also featured a ‘Food Village’ displaying varieties of traditional and modern bites.

There was also a display of different traditional musical instruments for enthusiasts, and acoustic sessions with Bornean musicians who taught attendants the basics of traditional Bornean music.

A section was also set up at the festival ground for those interested in getting inked by some of Borneo’s most skilled tattooists.

Apart from supporting local talents by providing a platform for them to deliver their music to an international audience, RTBF17 also aimed at creating a globally recognised landmark for the state.

RTBF17 was a culmination of a series of small events here called the ‘Alice Live Series’, where nationally renowned bands which were brought in to perform in the resort city received tremendous response from music enthusiasts, especially rock fans.
