My experience with Sony Store @ Curve

Hey guys/gals

Just wanted to share my recent experience with them

Rant starts:

Was about to buy the TV 2 years back, but the way the previous manager was just teruk(which since left for obvious reasons), I ended up with something else.

I needed another TV, so just last month, I decided to give it another go. To my surprise, there was a new manager and bunch of new staffs. The experience was better. Friendly, discounts were sharp and straight to the point.

BUT then, after sales, it just went downhill from there... Not horrible but not what certainly not what I expected from an OFFICIAL SONY STORE:

1) Promised me a keyboard with touchpad (logi k400). Not in stock was told will provide during the TV's delivery

2) Uncle came with no clue of the KB, Call back and ask sales rep what happened. Only to find out again no stock. (poor communication strike 2).
On a side note. Only one person came. I would expect at least 2 for a 65 inch tv. Had to be part of the manual labor but its fine. Uncle was a great guy.

3) From here on, no indication of ETA and only told "not sure sir" each time, I decided to terus call the manager. He handled my expectations better. Says give him a week and he will call back with full updates

4) Less than a week later, got a text saying the KB is here.

5) Went to collect. Only to find out again without notice(again). They only have an inferior mk240 instead k400. Told me too bad, distribution centers only provide these now, nothing they can do.

Before someone says no big deal. Firstly TV with a couch environment, a mouse is not ideal.

Secondly it is written in the receipt the k400. They cincai change at will

Lastly, yeah sure I can buy from lazada or shopee for a hundred bucks but thats not the point!

The point is this is not pasar malam, they are an official store for a renown international brand and should behave like one!

And hence take full responsibility and fulfill what was promised. instead of giving me misleading, poor business ethics with a couldn't care less attitude.

I am now thinking what other channels I can take my complain to. I would hate to see the brand(which is already losing market share) driven down the to the gutter further due to poor CS and management.

I also want them to know, we Malaysian consumers are no pushovers.

And yet we have business owners complaining the retail space is dying. It's partly because of this! Atleast online, there is a system to monitor their credibility. if you pull this stunt in lazada or shopee, likely you'll be delisted. Most of the time from my experience, the sellers tend to solve issues with little to no fuss.
