AVR/ UPS recommendation

Hi, my PC spec is as follow:

i7 920 @ 3.6GHz
5870 crossfire
3x2GB tri-channel ram
2 sata hdd
corsair tx850 psu

and I am currently using Koss 1000VA AVR. its been fine for few months, but recently, it produce 'clicking' sounds very often and my pc even shut down during intense gaming session.

i come across some forum including this tered: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=41996930

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ May 1 2011, 05:08 PM)

You will want to get an AVR with at least 1500VA then. Otherwise you might have the AVR "clicking" due to it having to handle more than it can.

and i realize that the 1000va AVR is way not enough for my pc.

so i need some recommendation to buy a new AVR/ UPS.

thanks

edited:

extreme psu calculator result for my pc is:
min psu wattage: 671W
recommended: 721W

Question about UPS

Hi, I live in an apartment and the unstable current coming out from my wall socket already damage 3 motherboards. So I purchase an AVR to protect my pc.

But lately, the AVR started to struggle to maintain a stable 230V, and on few occasion, it actually has some outage and causes my PC to shutdown unexpectedly during gaming session.

I tested the AVR on almost all the wall socket in my apartment, and even when the equipment connect to it is idle, the AVR failed to keep a stable 230V. So I am wondering if a UPS might help?

Btw, the spec of my pc is:
i7 920 @ 3.6GHz
5870 Crossfire
Corsair TX 850W

So is the POWER LOGIC 1200VA UPS (RM379, CZone) is sufficient? I just want a continuous power during those occasion outage of power.
