N55SF Upgrades CPU + eGPU (Beast)

Greetings all, how are you today? I have a very old laptop, N55SF-2043V with i5 2410M CPU, and GT555M GPU, that I want to get it perform little bit better for gaming. say, pubg mobile emulator, I just cleaned my heat sinks, and applied new thermal paste for the very first time and I found out that our CPU in this current model appear to be able to swap. after digging some information, I think my mobo supports sockets of FCBGA1023, PPGA988. And I do understand that N55SF came with other i7 processors such as, Intel® Core™ i7 2670QM/2630QM Processor
Intel® Core™ i5 2430M/2410M Processor (which in my case it's i5 - 2410m)

all right, can my laptop support i7- 2640M? considering i buy that and swap it out from my laptop, here
according to this they both use the FCBGA1023 sockets, and where to find if my laptop is using rather FCBGA 1023 or PPGA988 or both?

I am looking to upgrade my GPU too, i know it sound crazy. but I am been thinking, like spending some money for the EXP GDC v8, and settle for some maybe GTX1060. then stay with this laptop for some more time?

However I saw and read in the EXP GDC v8 websites / seller page that n55sf which is my laptop is banned / black list lol. however, I did digged that it's possible to mod the bios in order to get it going. here. hurmmm. any inputs? thanks

Greetings, my friend received a letter, kesalahan is "gagal beri maklumat pemandu (Kenderaan>250cc)" Amount RM100 from JPJ

The plate number is registered on a proton sedan, 1500cc category. Okay now, my friend went to JPJ office, and check where does this summon come from, since never encounter a roadblock, or being stopped, or sign any thing from JPJ officer before.

The officer gave a clear picture of my friend's car overtaking from the left, very clear shot. So the offense is "Memotong di sebelah kiri" Amount RM300

So, now it became total of RM400, the officer claimed that RM100 is late payment charges, he claimed first letter sent to the home is on March, however, the letter fail to deliver, so it make my friend paying the summon late which is today after receive the summon regarding the first sentence that i typed in this thread. Officer said, if tomorrow paid, gonna Add RM50, which is total of RM450. So My friend paid total of RM400, with receipt of 1st piece under the offense of "memotong di belah kiri" and the 2nd piece receipt RM100 under the offense of "gagal beri maklumat pemandu (Kenderaan >250cc).

Now,

My question is,

1. The Summon of JPJ, isnt it maximum amount is RM300? it add on RM50 daily? or thats a joke?

2. Since this is a sedan car, i checked that "gagal beri maklumat pemandu (Kenderaan>250cc)" belongs to motorcycle offense, does this means that someone use a motorbike with the same plate number as my friends car and got caught and without providing the documents to the office and thus sign the summon issued? I am very concerned.

3. Is that late payment even legit? Even if, its late payment, why not the keterangan suppose to be "Cas Bayaran Lewat" ? Why would it be "gagal beri maklumat pemandu (Kenderaan > 250cc) ?

R14 damaged? or usable

Greetings, the rim of my car, hit the curb, the broken axle had grind the rim inner part too.

1. Is this rim still usable? Will it cause vibration?
2. Should I just get a set of used one for peace of mind?

3. I am finding tyres replacement for 165 55 R14 for this rim, any good tyres to recommend? I just changed r18 primacy 4, love that type of tyres, but it seems this size don't have it. 3 old 165 55 r14 and 1 new is what indonesia hamonic brand.

Greetings, I have a Viva EZI 1000cc Auto, it's a 11 years old car. I want to change both sides of my Lower Arm, and both sides of drive shafts, I want to ask if I want to buy replacement parts for them,

1. Which quality will be better? Perodua Genuine quality better than those cheaper version that we can get at normal supplier shop? or they are the same, just perodua service center will sell it with higher price?

2. Price wise for drive shaft. RM350 vs RM150 each side. I wish the new lower amrs and drive shaft to last longer. so which one should I go with?
Price wise for lower arm RM200 vs RM80 each side.

Buying 2nd FD2

Greeting guys.. =) I am looking a 2nd hand FD2 with my small budget of <100k...
Actually looked into neo cps, vios, Caldina ZT, and FD2...
(use to roll around town and uni.. daily around 50km or more... can be my secondary ride though)

Actually i quite fancy the neo cps (thinking of getting 2nd hand manual cps)
yeah, considering the resale value... most of my frens convince me don't choose p1 or p2, instead of getting em, rather spend more to get a H or T...

oh well, so after tat, i
Did some research on FD2.. I found out tat gen8 honda seems to have some wheel bearing issues on some units...
brake pad and disc brake prob...

From wat i read, seems wheel bearing have cause some trouble for him...
I asked one of my fren who is currently driving FD2... He said yeah, he face the humming sound, getting tired for the wear and tear, finally he sold off the FD2 lol..
Despite of the worse Customer service of SC... he said...

hmmm... Is it recommended to get a 2nd hand FD2? despite of the mileage of 80k km/ 90k km ( assuming that no rotated back) In terms of maintaining, is it every unit have tat problem? or juz depend on luck..
Recommended to get it as daily ride?

2nd Satria Neo CPS (M)

Greeting guys... I am kinda interested with the look of satria neo and the two door version. so yeah, i went for deep research on the online reviews, reading thru neo car clubs, pro and cons.. I am not tall, so the comfort is a no problem for me, and the i love two doors too. (have project for scissor door even though i know the two door is really heavy and heavier than the sedan 4 door but i am likey to see the scissors in neo, i noticed the hydraulic might not tahan, but then sigh, i hope there's solution for tat...) I am uni student by the way, but capable for downpayment of 2nd hand neo cps and the loan monthly and some heavy mod...

But then i am very concerned abt the performance of the neo cps...

1. After a few days of researching, i found out tat most of em claimed tat (M) cps neo got jerking problem. can the problem be solved?

2. is it the auto neo cps loss much power due to the torque converter? of course i am into 3 pedals, but yeah, juz asking if i found a cheap auto 2nd hand neo cps... sigh.. i might but hope i dont, go for an auto if i found a cheap one? sigh... then save those money for mod...

3. I have requested reviews from my frens who are driving neo cps. and most of em are telling me tat the car is much underpowered although after 4.5k rpm.. sigh.. being honest,I am a freak who like speed, (more acceleration than top speed), love tigh corners, and challenging some random dudes on the road... So actually my question is this neo cps engine is tat bad like they said? and the low- mid range power is okay rite? (i do noticed some of the cps engine like waja engage earlier.)

(drove 4age silver top 20V - Love the kicks, ZC engine sohc in integra 89, love the speed although it's a heavy car, 4g15 carb, nice but worry abt maintainance hassel... and my favourite k3vet in myvi, lol nothin much to say, powerful, but then auto/tiptronic) sigh...

I wanna something tat got potential when i dump in 5-10k of money to mod...

P/s : I don't like fart can, but love to have the exhaust swapped for a bassy loud and sweet downpipe and exhaust, any idea the cps engine can give me tat desired sound?

4. with lightened crank pulley, adjustable cam pully, highcam, aerospeed plug cables, iridium plugs, 4-2-1, and complete downpipe ( i think cost me around 8k?) is it worth for this?

or go for strengthen the engine plus BOT? and cps engine tahan mar for BOT? say if and only if i can find a guy who know and capable of doing campro bolt on in kuching area... (considering i change to forged pistons, new crank , fuel regulator, some better fuel injector and the unique piggy for the neo cps after turbocharged cause my fren told me the VDO prob which cant match with e-manage or any other ecu..) but i do notice that compression for this engine is kinda high... sigh)

5. yeah i am hunger for power in this satria neo outlook,i understand bot might be more risky as i think neo cps will be fragile and more hassel than swapping in 4g92 mivec and 4g93t? though 4g63T is illegal. I juz wan it to be fast in neo... but of course better if can retain the cps engine.

6. heard the handling is good in stock, but if looking forward for more, any idea? suspension wise... and the 16" rim will it be too heavy for the accelaration?

Oh yar, this car will be my weekend car since i have a daily ride... I don't mind going workshop everyday as long as it's woth it.. though i used to skip all the classes and go to workshop and have my daily ride modded.. LOL...

WTA Problem with SLK

Greetings...

First of all, i m driving a Small little kancil 660cc standard.. I met several problems and wish to consult and ask for idea + recommendation from dear sifus...

1. Since my contact brush have prob, instead of changing the brush over and over again, i decided to change to CDI 850cc distributor for my 660cc slk... It comes up with a little "choking" problem.. When i shifted 1st gear, release the clutch slowly, and press a little bit of gas pedal, my car is not accelerating smoothly.. It kinda like an EFI car with fuel pump prob.. Chok Chock a bit...(for 1 or two seconds?) But if u shift 1st gear, release the clutch while press some amount of gas pedal, it only chok for 0.5 sec? or no chok at all... Only for 1st gear and second gear usually this problem...

So i went to change fuel filter, brand new set of aerospeed plug cable with iridium plugs.. It becomes better but few days later still the same...

Especially when open aircond, sometimes, it chok and will mati engine completely while i press a little bit only for gas pedal....

Then i went to few workshops around, only one workshop met this problem before. The guy said several years before, one 660cc stock kancil came thr with the same problem too, with CDI 850cc distributor.. he checked everything, cant find out the reason and finally changed back to 660cc contact, the problem is gone... lol

so i changed back the 660cc contact, now is pretty fine, no more problem... :mother of gosh:

My question is wat is the problem here yeah? is it 660cc standard kancil cant use CDI 850cc distributor? lol I seriously prefer the 850cc distributor... ( i believed many of them changed from 660 contact to 850cc distributor )

2. My old radiator is old dy. so i bought a aftermarket radiator, HKS on top of that... lol.. well, don bother that... I changed L2 hose too. then i am recommended to equip a aftermarket forged racing fan (i think it's the 12") for the new radiator.. so i juz go for a try... A new radiator with forged racing cooling fan cuztomised on it. Well... While idling, switching on the aircond, the temp gauge shows tat the temperature is around 8x... Will still go up though... until 88 degree sometimes.. While switching the F.Racing fan to my standard stock fan, the temperature barely go up 80C while idling... Usually is 78? the most is 80C while idling for one hour...? The time taken for forged racing fan to cool the water from 92C (when fan engage with aircond off) to around 70C is longer than the standard fan use... and the aftermarket fan cant get my temperature to be lower than 70C to the point where the fan stop engaging (around 58C) while the stock fan can get me to 58C....

My point is the aftermarket F.R cooling fan seems to be weaker than my standard stock fan? Is it true tat those forged racing aftermarket fan only can be used for additional aircond condenser fan? nt efficient enough to cool the radiator huh? So suggestions? switch back to stock fan? Currently using the forged racing aftermarket fan though....

3. Last time, i faced a problem with my fanswtich which don engage, so my temperature went a bit high.. I went to workshop, and get myself a L2 racing fan switch, claimed to engage at around 71C... Well, it works... (my thermostat was removed) The fan engage while the temperature is around 72 degree? But for two three days later, the fan stop engaging at 71C... so i switch on the aircond, to let the fan running all the time until i went to the workshop to check wat happened... they said the fanswitch kong dy.. i went to claim warranty, and changed another one... still the same... the fan don wan to engage even the temperature already reached 9x... so i ended up with buying a donno wat brand fan switch from the workshop.. it engage kinda late, around 92C... but fan only switch off at very low temperature, it's around 58C...

My question is.. Can standard kancil get a L2 fan switch function normally? Is the current fanswitch normal? i mean engage at around 92C.. cause i thought stock fan switch engage around 85C... (btw, temp took according to temp gauge) (according to my standard temperature meter, the fan engage only when it's at half... last time, i remembered the temp never go more than 2/3.... )

4. I changed my clutch kit few months ago, but 850CC one... The workshop claimed tat 660cc with 850CC clutch kit is better...like more contact... sometimes, when my fren or family drive my car, they get to shift but,got "kraaaakkk" sound lol.. i was wondering if the bigger size 850cc clutch is compatible with my 660cc ? Any idea? Need to change back 660cc clutch kit?

Greeting guys, wanna help me dad change avanza engine oil. the car previously used helix hx7 5000KM OCI, erm, dad bought it over last month, now 500 km more to Oil change, so guys, wat do you guys recommend for em? And one more is ATF oil, since my dad didnt ask properly when is the ATF oil changed, how can i check or know next service interval? thanks yar

Engine oil & Spark plug & timing belt

greetings, took over a kancil old model. My dad barely service the car, accept if go for long distance driving / juz top up when low level. i found out there is vibration when i cold start the engine, the oil is kind of black-ish when i checked. it's 3/10 above the lower level limit... I am thinking what brand / details of engine oil i should change? ) Can a old car like mine change FS engine oil? And oil filter juz use perodua one ok rite?

Secondly, about the spark plug, can i change new set? wat spark plug are good? Denso Iridium Power Plugs? NGK? heard tat Kancil uses either EZ660 IW16 and EZ850 IW20.

third thing is, the timing belt, i think my dad didnt changed it for quite a long time, Original Daihatsu Timing Belt Kit Set Kancil 660cc okay or not?

HID Xenon Head Lamp H4 8000K

Greetings all.. =)) i hav a couple of question abt my 8000Kelvin of Supervision HID kit tat i bought few days back thr...
First of all, i don't mean to blind ppl at the 1st place.. =))) i just want to get the deep blueish colour tat i want before i do retrofit.. ( i test those lights at my housing area without traffic.. =)) )

well, last saturday and sunday, i went to some accessories shops to ask abt H4 8000K HID Hi-low on my kancil headlamp.. I got varies of price... i got RM380 / RM300/ RM 250 for equipping H4 8000K HID hi ( yellow ) low ( HID ) kit to my car. so well i went to xxx accessories shop which offer me RM200 include workmanship for installing the kits... i did some research abt the HID lamp and i realised tat 8000K HID lamp should give bluewish white... ( kinda blue yo) which is the one i want to equip...

That's the colour i want... So well, the ppl equip for me then test the light, it's on the morning, and i see it's not as bluewish as i want,but somehow i tell myself, mayb nite can see the difference. so on that particular nite, i drive with that hid light, well it does look extremely white and yeah feel great abt it. but that's not the blueish like the one above tat i want.

So here's my question...
1. Why is my HID gives something like 6000k light ? It's kinda white, i mean not blue enough... ( i do notice that the more Kelvin we go, the less light output we get, but i juz want to get more blueish light )
2. Different kits come with different output colour although they are tagged with 8000K? ( googled and i got varies of answer.. some say china kits are kind of tahan and quite good despite cheap price. some said bad quality, ballast blown, wiring fried.. bla bla bla.. so well i guess i would hav to ask for opinions from here then)
3. say if i go back to the shop again and ask for change, wanted to change to something more blueish.. should i say 10000K or wat? ( i meant the 8000k looks like 6000k only so i assume the 10000k at least got a 8000k look? )
4. Anyone can clarify why my HID does not produce bluewish white? deep blue i mean, or i am co lour blind? lol

All rite.. Let's start with appearance.. There are two colours... white one and black one (white one seems not available in Malaysia )
We have to admit the design is ~~elegant, almost noble~~ is not that bad. The Asus N55SF is made out of a blend of materials such as hard plastic, aluminium and rubber. The black glossy plastic is proved to be too dust and fingerprint friendly. Opening the lid reveals the full-sized keyboard. At first glance it may look like aluminium but the keys are made of plastic and painted with a special coat that should last long enough. You’ll find aluminium just about the keyboard where the speakers are placed. The perforated aluminium grill looks good. The power button is now a part of the keyboard and that took a while to get used to. We also had to get used with the multimedia keys placed on the first left column. If you get past these details the keyboard is really good. We didn’t experience any typing errors and the writing was smooth.
The rubber materials have a pleasant feeling but you’re going to clean the dust and fingerprints from time to time. As you can see it looks fantastic when it’s clean.

Good day Lyn members~ Thank you for viewing my thread, i do realize that there is a recommendation thread pinned, but my parents put some deposit on a car tat i don't really recommend them to buy, so i wish to ask for ideas / recommendations / comments from dear LYN members abt the car tat my parents going to buy...

Well, first of all, the car that my parents want to buy is toyota Avanza 1.5 G spec (registered year 2008) from toyota company... The price offered is 47k... I checked the exterior, all cool, juz front bumper got some scratches, it can be resprayed... the family only my dad, my mum and i will be away, so means two of them using tat car, basically, i don't really support them to buy tat car, but my dad claimed tat he like the "feel" of sitting in a higher ride, like avanza, and he claimed tat it is more handle-able to compared with the currently wira in the house... lol... anyway,

1. First, do you think it is worth it to buy this car with 47k? Location - Sarawak
2. Any other car u guys suggest? with tat kind of budget...
3. What should i check ? since it's a new car, chasis?
4. Any comments from those who own the ride? FC? Handling? Any problems ?

download the BIOS file:

We have to admit the design is ~~elegant, almost noble~~ is not that bad. The Asus N55SF is made out of a blend of materials such as hard plastic, aluminium and rubber. The black glossy plastic is proved to be too dust and fingerprint friendly. Opening the lid reveals the full-sized keyboard. At first glance it may look like aluminium but the keys are made of plastic and painted with a special coat that should last long enough. The power button is now a part of the keyboard and that took a while to get used to. We also had to get used with the multimedia keys placed on the first left column. The rubber materials have a pleasant feeling but you’re going to clean the dust and fingerprints from time to time. As you can see it looks fantastic when it’s clean.

greetings... i am a first year uni student... I am actually looking for cash to buy myself a eg9 / prelude... But then rite now, i hav not enuf budget. so at the mean time, i would like to hav a car to work... i plan to get myself L200 Kancil for temporarily, for working and transport since i dont hav one now... i am from kuching though.. should i get this kancil or juz save the money for eg9? kind of need transport to work part time.. and the fuel consumption of kancil L2 turbo okay or not? and is l2 kancil suitable for city driving? wat's the pros and cons of buying tat car?

Greetings... I am new here.... I am a first year university student, and i plan to buy a second hand car for my life here in sarawak.... but before that, can sifus enlighten me in which aspects i should refer to before get myself a car? i mean to say i know nothing about car, but i am willing to learn and read.. ^^ any useful links? beside these two, this and this.... I mean what to consider or must know =)

1. Brand : Honda
2. Budget : plus minus 20k
3. New/Used/Unreg : used
4. Specs : err.... i donno abt spec
5. Transmission : manual
6. NA or FI : prefer FI
7. Type : 4 seater
8. Remarks : I like Honda Civic EG9... Prelude 96 also not bad ^^

Edit : today i went to the dealer in my town, he offered eg8 18k auto and 20k cash for eg8 manual... it sounds quite nice but then he told me tat Honda civic Ek is using "white V-tech" ? claimed to be newer than the black V-tech in eg... Then i ask abt prelude, he say he will drive it there if i am serious buyer... =.=... so well... what does people usually add on / mod eg 's engine? and how much will it cost approximately? and shuld i get tat eg8? or prelude?

A43SJ driver prob

Good day guys, i reformat my fren's a43sj and then while i try to install driver, i faced two "!" at my device manager. following is some screen shots for that two driver... one is generic bluetooth and second is ethernet controller. i got those driver from asus website... so well, anyone has solution for tat? (cause the seller din giv her any driver disc)
