http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2014...nking-services/

PETALING JAYA: Bank customers will have to pay extra for certain banking services once the Goods and Service Tax (GST) is implemented on April 1.

The Finance Ministry, on its Facebook page Friday, said service charges by banks will be subjected to GST, and as such customers will have to pay the extra 6%.

“Any fees imposed by banks, such as MEPS charges, will be subjected to GST.

“For example, if a Maybank card holder withdraws from a CIMB ATM, and the MEPS charge is RM1, the GST rate will be RM0.06,” the ministry said, adding that the actual amount withdrawn would not be subjected to the new tax.

According to GST official website, customers would also be charged GST on fees charged for insurance or cheque books, on provision of bank statements, loan processing, standing instruction services and maintenance services in relation to buying and selling of shares.
While GST applies to the fees imposed, the actual amount involved in the transaction such as the amount withdrawn and the interest paid for loans will not be affected by the tax.

questions for lawyers regarding ISIS

nowadays got more cases whereby Malaysians being captured and prosecuted for wanting to aid or help ISIS or go to syria to fight with ISIS like this LINK:
http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2014...-Three-Support/

my question to those smart smart lawyers:

1. can they bring up in defense argument that they were inspired to do so since the PM of malaysia say to emulate ISIS?
LINK: The Star - Southeast Asia fears militant fallout as Mideast conflict widens
"The governments of both countries have been accused of sometimes fanning Islamist extremism for political gain. Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak was reported as telling members of his ruling party on Monday that they should be inspired by ISIL's bravery and against-the-odds victories."

2. can the judge pre-empt this line of defense argument by instructing the lawyers before the trial starts that they are strictly not allowed to bring up any defense argument relating to the Prime Minister?

2a. if the answer is yes, can pre-empt and disallow this line of defense, wouldn't this be very disadvantageous to those being prosecuted to support ISIS who were genuinely inspired?

3. is the details of the proceedings accessible by foreign media of other countries? very scare they will misreport that our PM is supporting ISIS and they can say that since it is submitted into black and white in courts, there is strong proof that this is true.

thank you for your time.

determining accident fault and

Hi all. Posting here to seek advices and for anyone who is in similar situation.

Happened recently but not yet 24 hours from time of incident.

As can be seen from attachment, this is turning in from the right into a few lane road junction where all the lanes come from the right as well. Since it was raining heavily and traffic jam, things were moving kind of slow.

So from this i turned to the left some more (blue arrow) so that i can turn to the left road path further front. Then comes this other car and want to squeeze into the same path. While he successfully navigate his front part of the car, he turn more to the right of the lane to avoid car on his left so his back right side (back passenger side) touched my front bumper and he kena scratches to his passenger side wheel areas.

He went to the side road and stop a while. I damn frust cause to me got an idiot reckless driver coming from a totally outside lane and kiss my bumper to squeeze in so i didn't bother and continued my journey cause i know damage to me surely minimal cause is only the far end corner of my bumper that could be damaged whereas he scratch the passenger side of his trying to squeeze in.

My question is follows:

1) what should i do? i don't feel like doing anything at all cause to me, car damage is minimal as only far end corner of my bumper hit and i think it is a painful trouble to go report as i am paying my insurance in full (no NCD/NCB discount anyways). what are the real consequences of me not doing anything after this?

2) should i worry if he makes a report on me? i know his model and plate no. and he should know mine as well.
