House alarm remote control

Hi
Bought a second hand house with Paradox alarm installed. Got 2 issues
1. No remote control was given to me. When I open the alarm box, I saw a remote controller receiver. Open the receiver, I saw the 8 dip switch like the auto gate remote. Used the autogate remote to follow the alarm receiver but it didn't work. I think the frequency is not the same. Anyway to check the frequency of the alarm remote receiver?
2. Did some renovations that killed off one zone wiring. Now I have to bypass that zone. Anyone knows how to totally remove the wiring from the alarm box so that the key pad does not register it? I tried dismantling the input on the zone and common wiring in the alarm box but the key pad still show the zone is still open. I am thinking since I disconnected the inputs of the zone already, but did not dismantle the wire from the alarm box to the key pad, is that why the keypad is still showing that zone still open?

Thanks

Renovation dilemma

Engaging ID looks expensive. Contractor quotations without seeing the designs seem difficult to visualize the final outcome and to compare. Most won't give you the design unless you confirm the business with them. Not sure how to proceed. Anyone has any suggestion? I thought of drawing it myself but I will miss out the ergonomic factor. However this is a good start I think to pass the design for quotations comparison and work from there. Also any good freeware recommendation for ID?

Pre-work before deciding on renovation

Just bought a 40-year double storey house but renovated before 10 years ago. Started seeing contractors via recommend.my but need tips on what should I be looking at so that I plan this properly. Anyone can help here? Wife is more into aesthetic but I am worried about termites, leaks, security, hollow floor tiles, wall cracks etc. Visually, the house looks OK but I am not an expert as I won't be able to climb up the roof to check all these or able to see signs hidden signs.
Anyone can help? Or those who has done theirs before and which you have taken a different approach, can provide some insights?

Foreign Currency Account in Malaysian Banks

Hi
Anyone has any experience in opening such accounts? Need to know:
1. Can you deposit foreign currency or you need to buy via spot rate using ringgit?
2. Can you withdraw in foreign currency directly?
3. Any local banks to recommend which has low charges?
4. Say I have FCA for SGD. Can I withdraw SGD in Singapore if that bank has a branch in Singapore? Will there be any additional charges?

Thanks!
