just now at tv8, there was a food show with Axian as host

anyway, the programme was shot in Malacca

and toward the quarter end of the show, he was talking about a book
no idea what the book is called. the title is in chinese (im a "banana" @_@)

the title is white in font with dark blue background, i think
the content is about delicious food in old malacca

author is from malacca, dunno name
mid-age chinese auntie with semi-dyed gold hair

yea, i know. very vague description but thats all i got

does anyone know the name?
im planning to buy it for my mother

Promises kept, people confident in BN - PM

He said implemenation of development projects in Iskandar Malaysia had reached the 45 per cent mark while the mammoth oil and gas hub project in Pengerang near Kota Tinggi involving a total investment of RM60 billion would become a reality soon.

Earlier, Najib had made walkabouts around the shoplots, food court and wet market in Taman Setia Indah to mingle with the people before holding a meeting with members of the local community.

At the gathering, the prime minister also announced allocations to revive an abandoned housing project in the area, a mosque for Taman Puteri Wangsa and an additional four-storey classroom block for Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Foon Yew in Taman Mount Austin in here. -- Bernama

Suitable Paint

I'm on a project and I want to paint styrofoam.

Kid Activities

Long Story:

[The Situation]:
/k/, my mum works at a daycare centre and school holiday is coming up.

So, my mum want to throw a party.

It's a two day, 1 night party where the kids get to play all day, then sleep at the centre (we sometimes include indoor tents just for fun )

It's kind of an annual thing where by they say goodbye to leaver (primarily standard 6) and welcome newcomer (primarily standard 1)
It's also for them to relax after their annual year-end exam.

[The Issue]:
The whole thing runs for 2 days (actually 1 1/2 day, the 2nd day is half day).

During that time, kids being kids, would of course want to play_all_games.jpg

But we are short of ideas.

So, I want to ask /k/ help think of games/activities for them to play.

Encrypting wifi connection

Hi guys.

im a noob here

erm... i just got my laptop last week and i am very excited to use it at my uni

but the problem is, my internet connection will be almost exclusively wifi. be it at uni or my hostel.

being in a place full of students, i can't help it but feel a bit insecure.
the thought of some random person sniffing at my connection and obtaining my personal details terrify me.

im a bit paranoid now i don't even dare to log into my hotmail account.

so the question i wan to ask is, is it possible to encrypt my wifi connection?
i had heard of VPN but im just a student, so i a bit reluctant to spend money
how bout Tor? is it effective?

any suggestions/tips guys?

/k/, my pa birthday is coming soon (2-3 more weeks actually).

Now, for a few years, after my pa retired, he been working out in the gym because he refuse to let his body sag/age-down like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I noticed that some gym-goer uses gym glove even though they use light weight (my pa said they show off cos he is lifting 2x the weight and he is not using any glove).

But, he is approaching 60 and I want him to have a bit more comfort while he exercise.

So, I decided to get him a pair of gym glove for his birthday.

[The Issue]:
The problem is, I know nuts about about gym glove. I dunno whether leather/synthetic is better or what brands is the best.

My budget is about RM130. I might be willing to extend it to RM170 depending on the quality.
I'm from Kepong and I do have my own transport. I'm willing to drive as far as 1Utama or take KTM/LRT to Midvalley/KLCC.

So, I want to ask /k/ help. I want the best possible gym glove within my budget for my pa.

Well /k/, inspired by this "/k come answer this" thread "success", i decided to post a few question as well
