Need help on job offer T&Cs

Hi everyone! Cut to the chase - my new job offer has these terms:

1) "Probation is 3 months....However, it may be extended at the absolute discretion of the Company"

2) "You must when required to report to work on days other than those stated above and/or work beyond normal working hours. The Company reserves rights to change your working hours. The Company reserves rights to transfer to work at Customer's site and you shall observe Customer's working hours"

3) "U may b required to be trnsferrd at any time to any part of Malaysia ...."

4) "The company reserves rights to amend the above terms..."

Are these terms and conditions normal? I feel like signing this means the chain is locked onto my neck? Also any tips when accepting a new job offer? what are the do's and dont's?

NYE dinner/fireworks recommendation

Hey everyone, first things first - happy holidays!

I'm looking for recommendations on where can dine out (HALAL required - but not necessarily certified as we're ok with alcohol servings) and watch fireworks on NYE in KLCC area (any other suggestions that you think is worth is also fine) . Preferably rooftop, open air.

My idea is to bring my partner to watch fireworks in the city but open somewhere outskirts where got rooftop and kl skyline view during fireworks.

EDIT: Learnt my mistake and I accept it - should've known about AA better.

So I was supposed to board 6:55am flight to Jakarta and I arrived at luggage counter by 5:49am the very least. There were only two staffs managing the counters not just for Jakarta but all flights to Indonesia. I heard no announcements nor anybody came up to me or the queue asking any Jakarta passengers.

When my turn came up to the counter, the lady simply said "we asked /announced last call an hour before the departure time - where were you? We cannot check in the baggage now"

I HAVE PROOF I was at the queue at 5:49 as I sent a photo to a group chat saying I'm coming soon. Can I do anything about it other than whining and spoiling my day? Tweet at mavcom or someone?

Need advice - walk in or wait?

Hey everyone, so here's the thing - I registered for vaccine in MySj on 27th of July and got appointment on 30th July on same day! I got notification at 1:30ish for 5pm appointment at Bukit Jalil which is quite far from my place. I live at Shah Alam and since the heads up time was only 3 hours, I cancelled the appointment citing transportation as a problem.

Now should I wait for rescheduled appointment or walk in? If walk in, could you recommend anywhere near Shah Alam, Subang or Klang for transportation purpose. Sinovac preferred but not really fussed about it.

Or any other advice regarding the situation also appreciated 🙏

Anyone here using/used air-cooler? Mind if I ask for your feedback? I just googled some info, so far I got is:

- capable of reducing "wet bulb temperature" by 3-4 'C although I have no understanding on the wet bulb temperature part as it involves humidity reading (any sifus care to explain the term?)
- saves electricity cost vs air-cond by at least 1/4th ( but I think can't compare with air-cond as it can bring down the temperature to a targeted reading)
- from my understanding, getting a >130watt power consumption unit is most effective in doing the task?

I'm keeping an eye on this device and got me thinking " If i get it, I can reduce the air-cond usage and maybe reduce the overall electricity consumption in the long run? like this thing can also replace a fan right?

- Most likely true that it's 260 cases.

- Whole Sabah lockdown from 3rd October till 16th October. Cannot "Rentas Daerah".

LRT/Monorail users come in

So I plan to commute to work using LRT KJ line and Monorail daily. I have 2 important questions:

1 - How reliable are both lines? Is it true that an LRT train comes every 8 mins or so? Heard Monorail is super bad when it comes to punctuality?

2 - How about parking at LRT stations? Specifically Subang jaya and Glenmarie stations? I see so many cars parked illegally nearby pick and drop area, why ah? How about safety when coming back from work at night?

Any others tips for this public transport noob are also most welcomed. Danke
