Slimming Treatment in KK

Anyone have been to any slimming centre?

I once tried this treatment from SlimWorld back in 2007, sign up through one of their offer. I thought this package would be some kind of massage session or things like that. But it's not. Massage is not include in the package I sign up for. The first session is sit in sauna for 15 minutes. After that, lie on bed where your body will connect with wires which said is giving you an equivalent to 360 sit –ups & knee bands in just 20 minutes. They call it Body Contour System. The only treatment I preferred is DTM - deep tissue manipulation, if I not mistaken the name. It feels like a massage for me. They have this treatment tool roll over your body. And this is to loosen stubborn fat, according to the beautician. I did not finish my session because I didn't see result in near time. I did watch my food intake, if that's what you are going to say about the unsuccessful result.

It was only 3 or 4 session before I finish, actually. The last session is toning which use after you slim down to tone your body. And I guess, toning is useless unless you really has slim down. Because of the poor result, I am sure they are going to promote me with another promotion and products, or pursue me to upgrade my session. With a tight budget, it's not a choice for me. I just want to stick to what I have in package. With the thought in mind, I discontinue the treatment.

Exercise alone has little effect if I want a noticeable result fast. Now I know that what include in certain slimming treatment package is not always works for you. Sometimes a package of 10 session they offer in a promotion not enough for you to achieve the desire result.

If you know any best slimming treatment with a good price, please share. I'm in Kota Kinabalu.

Everybody wants a strong core and define abs. Britney Spears get her flat abs by doing crunches exercise.
But many people experience lower back pain or neck pain during crunches.

Britney Spears Rehearsal For Femme Fatale Tour 2011. Image from fanpop.com

As an alternative for a flat stomach, Fitness Model Michelle Ulibarri share this two powerful exercises in her facebook page using stability ball. If you don't have a stability ball, get one because they are affordable. Exercise using stability ball is the best because it doubles the activity in the rectus abdominis and external obliques compare to the same move on the floor. This is supported by a study in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.

The plan:Three sets of 20 reps (10 circles in each direction) on each leg.
Target Muscles: gluteus maximus, hamstrings, transverse abdominis

Exercise 1: Stability-ball Bridge with Leg Circles

Set Up: Lie on a mat with your heels resting on top of a stability ball (A).

Action: Slowly lift your hips from the ground until your body forms a straight line (B). Next, raise one leg, pointing your toes toward the ceiling, and circle your leg 10 times to the right, then ten times to the left. Return your heel to the ball, then raise your other leg and repeat. When you are through, lower your hips and rest before starting your next set.

KEEP IN MIND: Keep your circling leg pointing right up at the ceiling; don’t let it drop on an angle.

Exercise 2: Stability Ball Push-Up with Hip Extension

Set Up: Get into a push-up position with your feet on the ball, hands on the mat underneath your shoulders (A). Be mindful to squeeze your glutes throughout the exercise.

Action: Bend your arms to lower your chest toward the ground (B). Extend your arms to return to the start, then lift one foot an inch or two from the ball ©. Return to the start and repeat, alternating the lifted leg with each rep.

KEEP IN MIND: This is a difficult move that requires ample balance. If you are too wobbly, downgrade to a smaller stability ball, wedge the ball in a corner, or try it on the floor without the ball.

Do you have any abs exercise ideas without crunches? I'd like to know and add in my routine. Thanks.

This morning i receive a short text message from my mom telling me to stop consume spirulina tablet. Last month, my sister bought spirulina tablet by mistake in a big tub, so she decided that we share it.

But what makes my mom throw out her stock of spirulina when she knows and experience the benefit of spirulina herself? According to my mom, my close aunt mention about my mother's fairer skin when they met last month. Mom not only consume spirulina as food supplement. She even us it as her face mask at home. What makes my mom change her mind about spirulina is actually a short conversation she had with her sister (my other aunt) last night over a visit to my grandmother's house. It is low fat and low calorie food that easily digestive, help to curb food cravings. Study also shown that spirulina is an agent to fight cancer, boost immune system and alleviating the symptoms of anemia. These are six side effects of spirulina that may have been taken less seriously. However, spirulina is still safe when taken in a recommended dosage. The truth will set us free =)

1. Thirst and constipation
These are the most common spirulina tablets side effects. You should increase your water intake. Drink at least half litre of water when taking spirulina for the body to absorb the spirulina herb well.

2. Mild fever
The body needs to burn extra protein found in spirulina. Thus, promote body metabolism which may convert fat into heat energy.

3. Dizziness, stomach ache, itchy skin or slight rash when taking spirulina
People may experience spirulina side effects as a result of its detoxifying effect on the body. When you first start taking spirulina, your body may produce these side effects while adjusting to the increase in nutrients. The side effects you experience should subside within a few days or weeks after your body has had time to adjust.

4. Allergic
Anyone who is allergic to seafood or seaweed are not suitable to take spirulina.
