I'm asking for my cousin who has 3 years of working experience in Information Technology and currently he is working for Silverlake.
He wants to jump ship and asking me.
Which one is better for him to go with, Public Bank or Manulife?

Both he has the offer, and of course Public Bank provides better benefits compared to Manulife.
I only able to tell him some of Public Bank benefits as I also working in a banking sector.
The benefits and exposure are roughly about the same from bank to bank.

I know nothing much about Manulife,
Would like to understand from you guys in order me to make my explanation to him.

I am a project manager and been working for 9 years in one of the largest local bank.
i had a decent salary and employee benefits.
the factors that draw me back are the culture, the ppl and the future prospect in IT industry.

No doubt, im handling big projects, solely.
I feel im not growing personally.

Yes the pay is something but not everything
i can have a clear career path as company manager or senior manager.
but this is not what i am looking for.
i feel like working to pay bills
no job satisfaction

words are simply easy to say to look for another job.
but considering the economy today.

it's hard to get a company to compensate my current packages.
and the security of the job.

any of you are experiencing similar episode as i do?
mind to share how you over come the inner heart conflict?

Morning to all,

I'm going to start house reno soon. Doing some survey and I would like to ask,

1. Usually hearing people are installing water pump....I believed ordinary water piping.
I also planned to solar heater.
Does it need water pump too?

2. My contractor quoted me 500 gallon stainless steel water tank plus installation around 5k.
It is worth the price? I surveyed in the Internet... seems can't check for the price.
Quality, grade unsure. my contractor will get back to me today. Brand....he gave me options King Kong or Deluxe.

3. On this forum, I saw numerous recommendation to get LED downlight from top ten or house of lighting.
I haven't got the time to go for 'see see look look'. It is really that reasonable price?

4. I have few tiles shops and I've compared their prices and qualities. For example, Guocera, Niro, Weng Kong tiling,
Ong's Brother Tiling. Do you have any other tile shop that can offer so called 'RM1 for a premium quality tile'

Career Advise Needed

Morning,

Just want to get some 'enlightenment' from you experienced people.
I have been working as System Analyst (Information Technology) in a financial institution with 5 years’ experience. (my age...28)
I gained numerous skills, ranging from technical to project management.
I now have decided to have carrier enhancement. I want to jump in to Business side. I realized how important it is
to stay on business side, I mean... on operational and management

For example “Business Process Management”.
It focused on aligning all aspects of an organization business effectiveness and efficiency and also flexibility with integration of technology.
Not really in depth to I.T, but more on business improvement.

The question is,
Should I proceed for MBA? To make myself marketable in that field (I only had my Degree in Computer Science, majoring Software Engineering)
What value MBA can give me? Or even us? As I noticed MBA vs Non MBA…. They can be performing about the same. Some or rather how, nowadays MBA seems like not so valuable…
Is it MBA certification is more important that experience or vice versa? Obviously for me…experience
Anyway, are there any other options to prepare myself in to the Business side?
Main objective is to gain marketing, operations and management skills.
