Being Forced To Pay Strata Title Fees by JMB

Dear all,

My parent had purchased a unit of abandoned condo which was revived by a white knight about 20 years ago.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, up until now, the strata title has yet to be issued.

About to years ago, the JMB (via AGM) has decided to apply for strata title themselves and hence, billed all 350 units of residents RM2000 (totaling RM600K) for strata title application fees.

Naturally, I was unwilling to pay due to the excessive charges and had asked for the breakdown of the fees to which they did not provide to me.

From then on, all the maintenance fees I paid up till now has been used by the management to partly settle the strata title fees instead of maintenance fees and sinking fund even though I have objected to paying the RM2K and they claimed that that all payments must be used to clear off the RM2000 before they can apply to my maintenance fees and sinking fund

As a result, I am now owing close to 2 years worth of maintenance fees and they have threatened that they will deactivate my access card if I do not pay up.

Question is, from legal point of view, are we obliged to pay for any other fees other than maintenance fees ? If I don't agree to pay, can they tie my hands like what they are doing now?

I don't think that it is wrong for me to object to the payment if they do not want to show me the breakdown of the cost or if i feel that the charges is not reasonable.

Appreciate if I can get some input from all the taikors here.

I plan to make a police report if I have grounds to do so.

Hello, a friend of mine just bought a brand new bungalow in PJ and he's looking to probably redesign the house. None of know anything about ID and who's the market leader. Can anyone around here shed some light on some famous ID/ companies? the land is around 12k sf and BU is around 9k sf. He wants to see the design of around 2-3 IDs and choose the best one. connection problem

hi guys, i just bought a new wired network card and a wireless usb adapter tp replace my old wireless network card.

the problem is i could connect to my LAN. but there were no packets sent at all for both the wired one and the wireless. when i tried my neighbour's LAN using his wifi. it would work. everyrhing was set properly. ip address were set manually including the dns server. WEP entered correctly. i can't even get access to the router homepage through this computer. what could the problem be? can anyone help me? thanks

Hi, is there anyone using it for their ipod?
i just tried to use my itrip in my car and it SUCKS
i've read about it from cnet and wonder anyone is using it?

one more thing is that where can i buy it?
this thing is like a 30 years old technology and it's hard to find it, has anyone seen it at any mac centers? or any electronic shops?

i've finished my STPM and is waiting fr my results to come out
now i am very lost.i am good at maths and accounts i wanna be an accountant
i scored 7A's for spm.
can nayone tell me which course should i go for now? apply for prvt col or UM?
